Is it ok if "kidnap" people in my quad and bring them to lootable pvp?

This is a honest question.....Is it ok if me and a soc mate team up and target people hunting in public(assuming there afk of course ...but recently most are not and just get harassed)(cause this is occurring right now and months proceeding this question)---Then ill jump in my quad and bounce up and down on them and block there line of sight from mobs, and my teammate can pull mobs from them and use creature pills and w/e else i have at my disposal to lure them into the quad or into loot able PVP so we can take all there loot?I'm assuming its ok, as there's more people then i can count now attempting this and successfully doing this over and over and i know I've reported it multiple times and I'm pretty sure a couple hundred others have also.....So yea wanna clarify this please, or i guess i can just go start doing it seeing your ok with it and enabling and allowing it with zero input for days/weeks/months...Pretty sure a lot of people would like an answer to this....some morals are in question involved in this one as well but those are lost in this game by most
 
Mindark has stated in the past that this is against the game rules. It falls under disrupting other's gameplay and I've had it happen to me on CYRENE VERY OFTEN whether I am actually AFK or not.

It's fucking annoying as shit. You want me to come to your house and kidnap your kid or steal some of your shit because your fucking fat ass self was passed out eating Cheesy Poofs and watching Toy Story 2?

I've been told every day of new people doing this
and Mind Ark i would think if it was wrong would stop it or ban people exploiting......
but i don't know...cause if you name the people doing it ....and forewarn other people about it ...they remove the posts...
so yea would love an answer on this on....
I guess we can all jump on board and make the whole game toxic lol
 
Never heard of something like that in five years. Is this new?

IMHO its not OK but with the current game mechanics it can be done.

I've seen a couple douche canoes try this thinking I am afk hunting when I am not. It just makes me think EU is turning into the Mos Eisley of MMOs when people behave in this manner.
 
if that's one way of thinking, then it's probably okay to "test" someone multiple times a day by landing your quad above their head, disrupting their hunt just because you "think" they might use some machines, and then others might do so several times a day because at some point who knows...you "might" catch it

Well, we're going to end up with everyone using their quad at some point, because 1 time you leave it as it is, the second time you say something, the third time it's a model, and from then on you start to get annoyed and stop caring. .

One guy was writing on wave chat that he kidnaps people and already looted 6 or 7 of them, when confronted he said MA wont do anything about it and that's his way to save game economy... He landed on me few times when i was hunting bigger mobs forcing me to stop shooting and in my opinion that's interfering with my gameplay.
Also im almost sure that when your in incognito mode you cant be added to ship by them so thats the only thing to do right now to stop being harassed by assholes.
 
Nobody in this galaxy can kidnap you if you are manually and acively play the game, nobody ever period.
I beg anyone to come kidnap mr, please kidnap me.

u need to fix your eyesight, this must be something unusual for this game, no1 sane would do that

Afterall why would anyone want to do that? just to destroy someone's skilling process?

or is just because they can use the game mechanics to do that... and half HP, helmets and rocketing yourself are the only bad things that matter?

this is nuts, comon who would do such thing?
 
Meh once friend told me he get looted that way- he was afk with f, now you are asking if it's ok.

Ignore the kidnapping part. What if someone or a group of people landed on you constantly and blocked your action to shoot and Vision of the game for hours on end? Following you to each mob you tired to shoot?

My point is, where is the line drawn? Cause that’s interrupting gameplay, which Mindark has states in against the rules. As we have seen from mon stealers getting logged out.

That is harrasment, easy report and ban, just send a short video.
 
i regular drag people into space if they jump into my quad, i enjoy it a lot

edit* when you see me next to you better make shure to be @ your computer
 
well they allowed it multiple times already, and responded i guess to some people ....including the people doing it....from what i heard its ok so lets all go harass each other all day and hope we can exploit each other , well its already happening as there's half a dozen people trying it in last few hours....(coincidentally there all from the same society.....) So if your afk or not i guess give it a go and check....
 
This is a classic lol... "how dare someone interrupt my botting (breaking the rules) by disrupting my gameplay (also breaking the rules) .... granted MA didn't stop it from the beginning and it's been so long now we all will have to bot hunt in order to compete but still funny anyways 😄 ... only time I'd think it be acceptable is when your hunting a mob that drops like 1 or 5 of a rare good MU item and you're their actively playing trying to loot it and some bot is grinding 24/7 taking them all... other than that shouldn't bother people like that at this point in the game ... thats my 2 worthless pecs of an opinion hah
 
This shouldn't be ok even if it is with current mechanics. This is so messed up. I'm against botting but this is not the way.

I wish the developers had a clear stance on controversial issues such as this.

no it doesn't....I have sent videos and screenshots of players targeting me multiple times...and others ....and it does not get any response ...and the players that are doing it are not banned or reprimanded, and I'm not afk hunting when they attempt this as i have had conversations with them as they are attempting to "kidnap" and harass my game play ....
 
If someone lands on your head just record it and send to MA. Maybe if they get enough of them they will get annoyed enough to do something about it.
 
imagine you get looted that way, trying to explain mindark in a support case why you didnt exit the vehicle the whole time between pick up to lootable zone lol


but... yes i agree it it is extremely hard to find the "F"key or "exit vehicle" in the menue when ur not @ computer
 
The logic of some people in this game is like this:

Highway with speed limit of 120 km/h, they see a guy speeding at 180 km/h and then they proceed to go chase the guy and rammed the guy out of the road. You are not a police officer (game dev/official) to do stuff like that and you have now infringed the law also.

I doubt anything I say won't be taken the wrong way, but I'll try for the sake of any outsiders/regular players wondering what the hell is going on.

The accusations on this stretch way further than one or two pvp societies. The "abductors" list spreads far and wide, including in societies of those making accusations here. I guess the point I am trying to make is by all means hold an opinion on whether you agree with it or not, but do not tar all with the same brush nor believe some are holier than thou.
 
The simplest solution to this matter is to turn pvp everywhere in game, if an avatar is afk and disrupting your gameplay, shoot them. Does not have to be lootable, there is far more than 1 or 2 people abducting people and moving them to space, some of them are in the same soc as those shouting so loud in this very thread.

PvP is one of my main focuses in game, one of the things I enjoy as i dont see any other aspect of entropia that gives the adrenaline rush that it does. Taking people to space would not give that rush.
 
If someone tries it with you when you're playing, video/screenshot, report and carry on. I will never condone or agree with the behaviour or participate in it myself, all we can do is keep raising it to Mindark and they'll have to draw a line in the sand somewhere.
