where are people getting entropia crytech videos from?
 
Thats quite nice jam, and i actually heard the song on random hiphop net radio today.

You got it all... great film, awesome usage of camera modes, great editing and you gave all information there is.
GL in the competition, though I think it is the rest of us that need this luck now :laugh:

yes true , haha,... it is really hard to find the best. i have 15o gb materials now ...;)

This only pushes us to try even harder :yay:

One thing I am still a little bit confused about is if I am gonna add any text into my video like the subtitles used in this one, or if it's gonna be a clean one. Because I am not sure subtitles fits in a music video. Hmmm... But they DO fit in a promotion video. And this is like... both... :confused:

Nah, do what ya want, subtitles can be useful at times, annoyance at others. :)
 

Can we get confirmation the jury will watch all videos in High Quality or HD where available? Because there's a huge difference between standard and HQ/HD.

I guess part of MA's final decision will be the usability of the material, a work in HD could be shown on a big convention wide screen for example

Well - when they showed my AoW and Warants LandGrab movies at a convention last year - it worked just fine on a big-ass screen to play them. At first they tried the YouTube version - but it was beyond blurry - so I just had to send them links to download the full version of the movies, before they could play 'em on the MegaScreen thingy at the convention.

The videos always look 100x better before you put them on YouTube - so MA will figure out way to get their copy of it before it's smashed, compressed, and mangled to fit onto YouTube.

Anyway .. interesting thread, but I can't bring myself to watch anymore of these movies. I'm still waiting for a winner to show up and blow everyone out of the water .... :tapfinger

I would like to wish all film makers gl in this competition. I just viewed all for this moment avaible films on YouTube(about this competition). Im not a jury member or any film "uber-specialist" but im in this game some time long (5 years is not so much :) ) and i can see the "strong-sides" and "weak-sides" of this game.

There is one film which shows most "strong sides" excluding this bad ones, what makes this film - if not the best for jury - then perhaps one of few best to note.

It includes:
- very good sync music with film
- good combination of pictures and short films showing the best posibilitys of EU
- nice example of team-cooperating in game
- action
- peooples having nice fun ingame
- good ammount really colorfull scenes (what is very important for promo-films).
- good range of items possible to get in this virtual world (not so much not so few)
- and many other good additions

I would like to add, that i never meet this person in game and i can see his/her nick first time on YouTube presentation title. Im writing thispost to motivate other film makers to give them oportunity to make better film than this (if possible). Anyway - i like watching good films about good games.

I watched it cuz I thought it had something different than the other movies .. but from what I saw - isn't that 100% all MindArk shot footage ? :scratch:
Seph gets a thumbs up for the effort in compiling MA's footage to the music, for sure.
But, gawd I really hope something with original content wins.

Someone should count how many of these contest movies are just spitting back the MA produced material we've already seen ...

My video will be 100% original content so look forward to it. Well... except the music that is... But I guess I shouldn't change that.

Yes. Even the EU/MA-logo is homemade from materials found somewhere official. Hihihi.

I am excited about this. And worried. Because if Vegas crashes on me I will be sooooo pissed :mad:

i'll be waiting with great anticipation to see the first fully home made videos... if there any good, the mark will be raised and we will all have to dust of the old IG filming stuff.

I have to agree with the original content part. My entry will include some of the MA produced video as a couple of the shots are sooo nice. The Caperon in Zychion!!! That footage got ME amped up to play the game. Sad part is, you can't fight aliens in a ruined city, but still, awsome footage.

I wonder how new players would react if they knew that all the Caperons would always win over the colonists because "The target cannot be damaged or sweated while in this condition"? xD
