Kevin Rudolf Video Competition

you can use the video with the planets ect and showing the entropia in cryengine 2 video which is about a minute long. I wouldn't have thought you would be able to use the crytech 2 tailer

Where are these vids for download?

Yo.

Can someone tell me why it looks like the bottom picture in Vegas 7 preview and after rendering?

The top picture shows how it's supposed to look.

Does anyone know how I get rid of the "double sight"? There is nothing wrong with the original material anyway...

I can still post my video once it's finished in this "double-quality", but I prefer to have it clean and goodlooking. My eyes hurt from it.

Different file formats like MPEG, AVI, WMV etc. doesn't change anything.

I think the solution is easy, but I don't know how to do or what is wrong cause my video gfx card is relatively new ?

(Geforce 8800 GTX)

Suggestions?

Do you notice this also after rendered or only in the preview window?
Sometimes the preview is cheating in Vegas. ;)

Yes, it is the same afterwards. Otherwise I wouln't have complained...

It looks good in like 800 x 600 or so, but when you do 1280 x 960 with this, some scenes with fast movement and bright stuff looks masakra... :/

I want it to be the best when it hits youtube for real!

I am updating my gfx drivers now so I will see if that makes any change. But I think Vegas is the culprit here...

I have been thinking about upgrading to Vegas 8 Pro for this competition since I want that program anyway. But I am not sure if that would solve the problem either? :scratch2:

And I am afraid that it won't be 100% backwards compatible too :S

Okay, then maybe something with the recording because you mentioned that it isn't everywhere just at the scenes where good framerate supposed to be.
Your hard drive can also be the problem here because it is showing only at the high resolution.
But all of those are just poor guesses from here, I am not a Vegas specialist, just a user. :)

It is not the recording. The raw material looks fine.

I did however discover now that rendering in "Preview" quality instead of Good or Best quality solves the problem! :yay:

Even makes the picture sharper ^_^

Now, I can of course not understand Sony's logic with the decision of this design choise :p

"Preview" should look aweful, not greater than "Good" and "Best"? Even takes more time to render... Hmmm... :scratch2:

He's not entering... Right McCormick? :( :)silly2:)

Don't worry. There WILL be serious competition. Muhahaa! :vampire:

Meanwhile, this is a take gone wrong.

Dedicated to Naomi, Max and Del...

Question:

Would you that makes videos add an credits list in the end of the videos to credit anyone who helped you with the video?

I'm noting down everyone's full ava name that's helping me in that scope

Yea but will U put it in your video - or in the post presenting it?:scratch2:

Yes, I have credits in the end of the film with names of all the people who helped and acted in it.

It's not a glitch, nor a bug.

Yes it is. If you look in the video when I look upwards towards the sun, the entire pack of bubbles follow the camera up vertically.

On my old computer, the bubbles "stayed" in the same position no matter what camera angle you used. They kind of floated.

It's how your graphics card handles it, obviously you've had older version of Shader Model on your last video card.

Yes... But it is weird when graphics work nice on older cards than on new.

I hate when that happens :p

To get back on topic, seems like my movie is finished for real now. Will post it later. :)

I will not put it in my video.

And no names outside of that either cause there are so many people involved that I have forgotten their names. Also would make the list too large.

There is one avatar who has helped me a great deal in this moviemaking though and if I win, she will be well rewarded. Both in fame and fortune. ;)

Normally you should add it and I did in most of my videos, however this is a different case and decided not too do it. I can add that anytime in the YouTube description box.

Which Vegas version are you using?
Maybe mine is a bit older therefore it is different. :scratch2:

Tell us who it is :) :yay:

Im sick of exporting / rendering this video of mine... Takes 60+ minutes now on Intel Core 2 Duo T9300 @ 2.5Ghz 4Gb ram...

Maybe if I didnt have 200+ clips in it it would help...

Resulting in an 500Mb .MOV file... 4m 07sec

Every time I rendered it and view it - I find errors or fixes... 13 "Final releases" sofar...
