Good thinking. I mentioned Sentinel because it should be possible to work it out from a single hit in Sentinel.

Yes, Sentinel would be a great way forward. I just mentioned Angel (Shadow would do too) because there's a few more sets around so it may be easier to find volunteers.

A piece or two of Sentinel L would do the trick nicely too though come to think of it.

Got round to doing some Aurli testing over the last few nights.

I'll just quote the summary, from the thread where it all began:

Summary

Devastator does Impact 28+, Cut 2, Stab 19+, Acid 22+
Ravager does Impact 52, Cut 5, Stab 31, Acid 18
Strong does Impact 54, Cut 4, Stab 29, Acid 16
Weak does Impact 40, Cut 2, Stab 25, Acid 10

Or in percentages:

Devastator: 113 of which Impact>25%, Cut 2%, Stab>17%, Acid>19%
Ravager: 106 of which Impact 49%, Cut 5%, Stab 29%, Acid 17%
Strong: 103 of which Impact 52%, Cut 4%, Stab 28%, Acid 16%
Weak: 77 of which Impact 52%, Cut 3%, Stab 32%, Acid 13%

I guess 50% Impact, 4% Cut, 30% Stab, 16% Acid is a good average for wiki.

Did some testing of WoF mobs that had no damage listing on Entropedia. I've updated it with the following results:

Big Bulk

Hit 79.4, 5B 0.824 (12), Ghost 1.439 (19)
Hit 68.6, 5B 0.824 (12), Ghost 1.439 (19)
Hit 53.4, 5B 0.824 (12), Ghost 1.439 (19)

That was from a Gen08 and tells us they are 100% Impact and do at the very most 168 max damage unarmored.

I took a lowest hit of 38.4 from a Gen 03 to which tells us they do at the very most 138 max damage.

Thorofoid

Took a few hits in Ghost+6A against a Thorofoid Rogue:

Hit 6.4, Ghost 3.073 (34), 6A no decay
Hit 3.8, Ghost 3.073 (34), 6A no decay
Hit 47.5 (armor penetration crit), Ghost 3.073 (34), 6A no decay

Basically shows they do Impact and Cut, barring ridiculous 4-damage type combinations involving Acid and Shrapnel. Also shows the Impact is over 50.3% of the damage and the Cut is over 39.7% of it.

So let's guess 60% Impact, 40% Cut.

Thorafoid

Gatherer

Min hit unarmored 18.6, max hit unarmored 36.6 (proving range is 18.5-37)

Hit 2.5, Ghost 2.260 (26.975), 6A no decay
Hit 3.3, Ghost 2.293 (27.275), 6A no decay
Hit 1.0, Ghost 1.893 (23.54), 6A no decay

This shows of the 37 max damage, 27 is Impact and the remaining 10 could come from any combination of Cut, Stab, Electric, Cold.

Thief

Min hit unarmored 23.7, max hit unarmored 46.5 (proving range is 23.5-47)

Hit 14.3, Ghost 2.649 (30.42), 6A no decay
Hit 10.4, Ghost 2.496 (29.09), 6A no decay

This shows of the 47 max damage, 35 is Impact and the remaining 12 could come from any combination of Cut, Stab, Electric, Cold.

Grabbed a Pixie Harness off auction:

Hit 5.5, Pixie 0.583 (9), 5B 1.553 (20)

This shows the non-Impact portion of the damage is all Stab.

So:

Gatherer - 27 Impact, 10 Stab
Thief - 35 Impact, 12 Stab


So about 75% Impact, 25% Stab
