News: Nanocube Changes

did anyone ever asked why u must gather in some specific area to craft something rather just open an interface wherever you are and just do it?
Just use a Personal Crafting Machine and you can craft all over the place ;) only one I know straight of the bat is at Morningstar(?) Castle by PvP.

Please stop spamming and capping your replies. Thank you
Hi. I am not "spamming". Spam is when someone repeats a message over & over in order to annoy or abuse.
I am simply participating in the discourse.

And what is "capping"?

Thank you

Capping is when you use capitals to yell.

was about the ideea, and a personal crafting machine costs

Oh no! People with lots of ped are going to make a few PED profit…. Yeah people with money to spend usually do make profit, that’s generally how the world works, what’s the bloody problem? I’m up to 20k stocked now, look out I might make 20 bucks, I’ll be able to buy a schnitzel at the pub if I’m lucky
Well, sure as heck ain't gonna be MY twenty bucks, Katie!! hahahaha

RIP limited gear (after 24 hours of all low markup stuff gone, it really won't take long, i guess a LOT of peeps will stop crafting EPs or massively reduce what was once cycled, and the only reason residue is so cheap is because of EPs. Residue will rise in price, which means all limited gear will rise in price, but the biggest hit will be mining amps, and people will probably mostly stop using the high turnover mining amps, as the ores/enmatters still mostly have no use, so markup will stay low, and not be justififed by the increase in residue needed to craft them. I foresee in a few weeks, that mining turnover will drop to record lows, residue will be around 120% mostly due to severe lack of it, crafting hunting gear will probs mostly die, amp crafting will be mostly for the big hitters level 13 amps)

LOL! <- like this?
It's not yelling; it's to place emphasis.
Are your ears hurting?
Nevermind, don't reply. Too much spam ;)

Dont think nanocubes can go over 101% very soon, there are tons of shit minerals/oils/loot under 101%.

And what happens when all those "shit minerals/oils/loot" run out on AH because there are no more Nanos on TT or affordable Nanos on AH??

Why would residue rise above 105...108 where it was just before the introduction of EP? There are ample opportunities to make it out of any cheap mineral. And there were cheap minerals when amps were expensive.

It's hard to tell how use of L hunting gear compares to pre-EP era (probably lower) but it's certain that use of enhancers is higher; and enhancer crafting produces quite a lot of residue, too.

This...

At the point where residue gets to breakeven or slightly above breakeven price ANY player is incentivized to produce it as well...

If with so many shite we get in loot you perceive the "fair" price of producing residue at 120% and are willing to buy it you got a friend in me. I will craft it for you all day long,,, with some time off maybe to grab more shite loot really quick... Point is we are not dealing with a rare comodity. is avaliable all around.

The main thing this change brings to the table is high cycle of TT all around, that increases trade between players, that increases services and so on. it links demand across professions as in the old days to create an economy.

If a "gambler" stresses the nanos market the metal residue price drops. If there are no "gamblers" avaliable the market adjusts to the "true" value of producing residue, it won´t get very above it unless players are sleeping on the job...

Since the economy will go up a couple notches. One pays more for an item but gets more MU on average. The true winners of this change are unL users who will be the only ones fighting against TT only even on repairs. And this is not really fair if the developers want the L market to make sense...

My first thoughts were the same, pessimistic, But...
But we evaluate the changes globally what we have. Previously, people TTed loot and bought Nanocubes for this money (I'm not talking about one player, but globally). Now these two operations will come into one action. It turns out that nothing will change globally. Of course, there are nuances. If the money is shifted from the pockets of various players, then this will happen to some MU. But often this will be different pockets of the same player. :)

For me personally, in terms of MU most likely nothing will change, because I had been selling all the loot before, not TTing anything. But the craftinng price of Armatrix weaps and amps will rise a little.
Which mu will be fixed on Nanocubes - is very curious, probably impossible to predict. But the effect will depend on this.
I feel a mess in the first days/weeks.

One thing I will say for sure is that people definitely underestimate how much metal residue keeps L item prices down. For those items, residue filling the TT value is the primary MU cost, not the items to craft it. Generally if someone tries to craft solely for residue, they aren't going to come out ahead, and usually won't have enough for a decent amp crafting run anyways. It's already hard to get enough residue in decent amounts, and targeting residue for MU alone in your clicks is not supposed to be profitable or breakeven. That's why I never complained about EP4 as a miner because of the residue that setup generated.

I mentioned it before, but I'm hoping this is a step towards universal residue in addition to existing residues, possibly by using these nanocubes. This was hinted at with shrapnel ages ago but wasn't followed through on. There's likely additional rebalancing needed in crafting related to this if residue sources become even more bottlenecked, but I'm guessing MA is going to sit back and see what happens with this first change.

And we will also look at first. I hope almost nothing will change due to the fact that there are a lot of things to be resycled.
We cannot really evaluate how many things were TTed, but MA can.

Doubt

A big chunk of that residue was being tt'd anyway to buy more cubes most likely.

People use residue for L gear because it's a way to get much better markup on what normally is nearly-tt-worthy residue. Residue is not going to 105%.

People tt a ton of stuff regularly anyway. All that will just become nanocubes and the grind will continue.

"Apparently Nanocubes are still available from TT in Hunt the Thing"

Not tested but heard on EU discord.
Nanocubes could NEVER be bought on HTT, but you can still buy the TT ammo at the TT there and recycle it, confirmed. There are a few other bugs like certain BP's cannot be recycled, I am sure all will be fixed in due time.

they're at the starting gates... And they're OFF!!

How to get nanocubes for tt, any ideas? I don't want to recycle anything :cdevil:

sadly this won't be for tt..
You don't want to buy from auction and don't want to recycle... what should anyone say? I guess MA didn't want this change either but because they can be considered a casino they had to do this...

Will we now after this change see again Explosive Projectiles BPs dropping in loot?
