VU 10.0 on the horizon, if it's not out already; and apparently NOTHING has changed since the last dozen VUs. Even the same retarded counter arguements come up. Some of these might not have been raised; but I'll cover them anyway.
-Don't expect to profit.
Some people join to profit, some work hard at it, the have a right to expect it. Telling them not to expect it is idiotic; it's the main selling point of this game. Pity it's a LIE.
-Change your playing style.
Again, there's only so much economy you can build into your playing style before it becomes a job; or just maddening. At some point you have to realize no matter what you do MA is a bunch of stinking cheaters and thieves.
-Quit.
This is actually a good suggestion; but I take issue with the motivations behind it. Most people say "then go ahead a quit," because they're self absorbed, indifferent morons. They rather you leave then have to listen to, and recognize the legitimate problem with the game.
-MA is running a business, the need to make money.
They have the economy of a small country at their disposal; don't give me this crud!
You all want MA to change? to be fair? You're gonna have to break some heads to do it. Metaphorically of course; go to courts, get consumer protection laws covering their so called patented "virtual universe" so they can't abuse you anymore.
Oh and for the record the idea that MA "invented" the virtual universe, is such a load of garbage that the judge who allowed the patent to go forward should be thrown out of his position.
If getting up in arms is not your thing, for whatever reason; do what I did. Sink your money in Entropia Investment Fund, and go play something else. Every once in a while, check in, pick up your dividends and give MA the philosophical middle finger they so richly deserve for years of abusing the player base.
