Question: Poll about Loot

I am just wondering about how you feel about getting loot as indicated in the poll.
If loot has to do with the pool created by ammo burn (This is what I heard but it also includes other things but ammo burn seems to be the biggest factor) it would seem logical that one would get more loot if there are other hunters around. Now this would assume that the ammo used in the area would be for that area's loot pool. I don't know if this is a correct assumption though.
I would think that part of all loot pool money would also go to HOFs and ATHs.

Anyway just wondering about your experiences.

One might but the others wouldn't so it would work both ways. You could be contributing to their loot and thus have worse loot yourself.

I think the mayority of loot is generated by personal ammo spend, rest a bit of decay maybe. If it was really related to others, my hunts would be far worse because I often hunt in quite lonely places.

the way the loot pool works is you put money in the pool MA runs with it and you get nothing. any other idea is just wishful thinking or trying find logic in madness. plain and simple you spend money they get it every once in a while you get a little back. just enough to keep you coming back. just like a casino. nothing more nothing less. well i take that back you cant shoot casinos. well you can but its frowned upon.

Oh one point: while loot is unaffected, imho, I do notice a difference in death costs. If there are other people around, your mob heals more if you die.

I`ve had my best loots with other hunters around. Think feffs back in the old Ft Fury days. Longtooth during migration events. I liken it to how so many people lately were hunting proteron and they globaled several times a minute for a long time. The more people hunt something the better potential the loot has. But of course for some to win many more have to loose. So you have to take that into account along with where your avatar stands as far as if you are due to get some back. Your PED cycled including decay and costs. I also factor in recent deposit history. And then there is the pure luck factor. I believe all of these are written into the variables for each mob and avatar. Same principle for mining.

I voted for solution number 1, even though sometimes it's better to be alone.
If the others are using another setup than you it's even better (IMHO ofc )

my hunting sessions are based on a "theory among others" which is working very good for me either in a crowded area or alone. (but that's a secret )

But if it's crowded i just have to be faster than the other players if i want to get the "right mob" and not the "wrong one"...
