Sandline is recruiting! SI is an anti-piracy wing operating out of the starfinderXV!

Be it distracting pirates while the mothership leaves, or laying down a powerful grid of lasers via the StarfinderXV, we will be there to defend travelers in space. Whether you want an ethical reason to fight in space, a powerful fleet of friends, or simply to kill pirates, SI is right for you.

SI operates out of the StarfinderXV, a ship generously granted to our cause by Kri. when crewed properly, the StarfinderXV is essentially unstoppable. Even with only two people, she is still a deadly force.
When we aren't on the StarXV, we're out in out quads, dealing with the threat up close and personal, and when we're not fighting, we still like to hunt together or enjoy other features of Entropia, like any other soc.

Our budding society is largely in response to the possibility of the removal of the safe logout of passengers of motherships, and our services will be extended to those that request it. For more information on joining, simply friend me in game. Otherwise, questions will be answered here.

Our 'CTA' program
Sandlines Call to Arms (CTA) militia list is maintained in game by me, Mitsuwa. Basically, this program's purpose is to allow up to bring quad pilots, turret gunners, and repairers to fight alongside us. Possibly even with a little bit of PED involved for the assisting individuals.
What it does NOT allow you to do, however, is to be involved in the SOC's planning process, climb the ranks into leadership positions, or maintain consistent access to any of the ships we have/requisition for temporary use.
If anyone is interested in being in our militia, just friend me in game, and simply request it. All you have to do to maintain your position on this list is to keep me on your friends list; you will receive updates on what we're up to as a good faith effort to keep you in the loop.
oh, one last note. While it isn't technically required that you be active or occasionally join us, as my friends list fills up, you may be bumped for the sake of more serious individuals.

~NEW~---open Sandline basic training!
The SI team has decided to arm the common folk! The training that we put our newcomers through is now available to the public, and all you need is a quad, a kismet, a thruster, and repair tools(RK5 and welding wire). We are accepting individuals and entire SOCs into the program, and we will launch as warranted according to demand (when we have at least 3 people, to include SI/CTA members that need the training.)
The things you will learn include:
How to handle your ship correctly
How to evade in the most effective manner
How to misdirect/avoid fights all together
How to perform scout duties for larger ships
Proper shooting technique
an explanation of turret operation (no hands on here, sorry)
And finally, group flying

SO, how much does it cost? How do i sign up?
Its absolutely free! You need only contact me, Lunar Mitsuwa Blaze, in game (simply friend me). The reason we decided to do this? This is essentially a space combat introduction program. The idea is to show you how much fun space PVP can be, while helping you overcome that initial learning curve, and do it without blowing a ton of PED. You're not going to become skilled enough to kill a seasoned pirate with this lesson, but you WILL gain a highly beneficial boost in how you perform in space, and have a chance to defend yourself against the pirates.
At the end of it all, there sill be an open SI/CTA invitation extended to everyone that completed the training. Those that don't wish to aren't obligated to us in any way.

As always, fly smart

Sorry, I'm a little confused. Starfinder XV, you say?

I thought that was part of EFA, or is that info not up to date?

Either way, goodluck with your efforts.

What is your Structural Integrity?

Kri's Starfinder XV is still a founding member of EFA. What his soc is doing in their spare time, with the ship (and while he's away with real life stuff) is not sanctioned by EFA.

This is entirely correct.

What is your Structural Integrity?

I'm not 100% sure to be quite honest. Though to give a rough idea of what its actually capable of, we took on three pirates the other day. My brand new gunner had time to kill one, and half kill another, with a roughly 40-50% hit rate, and get to station with half our reactor, and 3/4th of our propulsion even with all three unloading on us 100% of the time. Again, very rough idea, but its all i can offer at this point. If we had a pair of more experienced gunners, it would look much better for us, but I'm fairly certain that said frag was that particular gunners first turret kill, so it is what it is. We were out looking for a fight specifically so we could get him a little target practice, so in that sense it was a success.

If/when i get more accurate info, and actual permission to make it public, I would be more than happy to share. As it stands, however, I can't and won't give an actual number.

I will kill any pirates near your ship if you cover my costs.

Let me know.

Add ingame.

Obviously bringing pirates into the fold would be a conflict of interest, and isn't going to be allowed. Also, we don't directly fund our pilots shooting. That responsibility belongs to the hiring party.

Just wanted to say, Mitsuwa is a nice guy, and he won't screw you over :). His services are legit, and you can trust him :)!

Also, Raven, your avatar pic is so hot :D

Mitsuwa, I just wante dto say I am very proud of you. I think you have an excellent well planned idea and most of all you are having lots of fun with it!

Keep up all the good efforts and fun matey :)

I can tell that any captain who hire these services will have a great advantage over attackers in every way. I can see these services being a great addition to protecting your MS or Fleet.

Its also nice to see a thread going about this too.

Good luck to all.

photos of the escorts please.... :eyecrazy:

What is the cost for hiring your services? Is it non-warp planet-to-planet quad escorting? Or just a guard/presence over MS's running thru warpgates?

Our baseline price is 5 PED's per valid kill, according to our ROE (Rules Of Engagement). The details of our ROE aren't public, for obvious reasons, and can be expanded to give us greater flexibility , or tightened to minimize the captains expense. As far as what we will defend, we will cover basicly anything in space. We can follow a slowboat, be in place at a particular planet for atmos docking/station departure, launch from the back of an MS, and almost anything else you can come up with. What we will NOT do, though it really should go without saying, is follow you through warps with our own ship (unless you're paying for the drive, of course).

As far as photos, i don't really have any at the moment, and we're not doing anything over the next few days, so i won't have any until past that period of time.

Also, our force is growing, but we really need more quads! At the moment, we have just enough to sustain our current operations, and only if most of us are on. I would like to see SI capable of handling up to 3 simultaneous ops and still have a couple of extras on standby. We do currently have one paying contract out, but we got our asses handed to us by a mob of 8-10 pirates on our little flight of 4 quads. Had we matched them in numbers, the soc would have stood to earn as much as 50 peds from the engagement. No one is going to get rich off of SI, but its definitely possible to live comfortably up here.

Yea Good Luck with that see ya out there:laugh:

Our force has hit a milestone! We now have 10 quads under our control, with a couple more in the joining process! On top of this, after today we will have a second officer, meaning we will soon be capable of flying multiple missions at once.

Also, we are opening our space introduction program, the training we give to new SI pilots, to the general public. Now anyone can gain from our collective knowledge, and beat the space learning curve at a minimal cost to yourself. see the updated OP for more details!
