It is a Ped Hole :wise:
Just like a Regular black hole in space, but this "Ped hole" only sucks Ped into the void.. it will slowly drain all the "lootpool" :rolleyes:
 
It's been around for a long time...as far as I know it has no real reason for being around, at the moment.
 
It's a warp to either ED or SC, very dangerous to enter, you may not survive. ;)
 
Well, its made by MA, so don't expect much of anything. Its 99.99% only just a visual thing they decided to throw in there w/o any meaning really.
 
My memory isn't the best but if I remember correctly, aren't there several of those in
space and they are close to spawns of spacemobs?:scratch2:

That was my thought. Its not quite on the direct line between Caly SS and Ark SS though I don't suppose that means anything.
 
AFAIK warpgates look like a rotating collection of rods at various angles. Discussion on warp mines here on pcf have pictures of such a thing.
This object is marked on an old map I have as a 'Yellow Dwarf Star'.

Incidentally our sun is classified as a yellow dwarf star...
