News: The Future of Mayhem: Vendor Changes

Well with a post that vague, how can you be wrong.
Well the way things are, there will be a slight flood of unl stuff, People wont get all they want exactly, they will be forced to pull stuff they dont really want to flush them out.
Mass sales of unl items and (L) items going that are not from hunting/crafting directly, that hurts the economy even further

Glad you did notice this, because mindark did not ! 😂

And I was away for a bunch of years... Now imagine if MA hired me haha.

I have a pile of ped ready to reinvest back into the game, if I see no improvements I rather not

Any word on that vendor refill list? Or do we just trade the tokens blindly?
I got it in an email

When they use celeste AI to read the forums and balance stuff I can't really say i'm surpriced. Have you read some of the suggestions here recently lol.

I think its pretty straight forward you just dont bother to read, people these days...

  1. Between 29th April and 27th May, tokens will temporarily be made tradeable. This will allow a grace period for players to offload/buy up tokens if they feel it is in their best interest with the changes going forward
  2. In the week directly following the end of this period, we will post a notice detailing the days and times when vendor restocking will take place, accounting for players of different timezones.
you just said exactly what i did, but you just quoted the official announcement.
you ARE basically trading blind, untill you know what gets refilled

Where are the Ranters that said UL cost too much NOW ?

BTW a full Mayhem armor is now under 30k, amazing stats for bargain price

except you have only chest and gloves in the vendor ... and the M chest is already sold out...

nice try, but ALL items will be at 70% discount at refill....

but you explained me the NEW rant of BStters.....

I WOULD buy items so cheap, but i COULD NOT find what i desired so i lament again

:)

Never understood the logic of this. They should of listed full sets as a single purchase as an option. A single armor part is useless haha.

Regarding the grace period of token trading:
It looks like we are to trade the tokens before refill happens. This means that the token prices are valued for the highest value weapon (mod nano?). Of course only a few campers who by chance live near the servers of MA can pick these up. Everyone else will then pay a premium for the lesser valued weapons.

I would propose a refill strategy from MA that sooner rather than later was laid out for everyone:

1. Refill everything DURING grace/trade period, so that prices can adjust according to what's left in the vendor.
2. Multiple refills at EXACXT times. Spread out over 4 weeks, 1 week day and 1 weekend day every week, total of 8 days with refill. Divide refill into 12h drops every refill day, for a total of 16 refills. For EVERY refill, MA should tell players exactly what's going to be added at least a week before.

E.g.
week 1
Monday at 10Am, 10PM
Saturday 10AM, 10PM

week 2
Tuesday 9 am, 9 pm
Sunday 9 am, 9 pm

week 3
Wednesday 8 am, 8 pm
Saturday 8 am, 8 pm

week 4
Thursday 7 am, 7 pm
Sunday 7 am, 7 pm

Ludvig said that the refill WILL reflect the rare token amount in circulation, so with all information on the table, few (ideally, none) people will be left with an empty bag.

Waiting for cheap price, we are still just at "before covid" prices, with the same number of players but with 5x more ul guns in the game.
Exactly this, supply increased. Player base didnt, who's fault is the screw up?
Id be pissed like some people I seen with a bunch of tokens that will prolly not attain the item they seeked, even tho, MA said it should match all the tokens

-Mod nano and all the powerhousese after
+adding exceptional Weapons earlier
-Never put RM in how it was
= Game would be booming like crazy

Lets see what the future holds after this mess

I do think it would be a lot more fair for them to do the restocks while the tokens are tradeable.

please do tell me where do you get the rest of the mayhem armor set from except during mayhem or mayhem vendor...
coz it seems you just like to spit sh*t out of your mouth without actually saying anything!

Where was this part posted?

Well, sure, they said they will take into consideration the number of unused rares, but they didnt said there will be UL items for 80% of those rares, or just 50%, or maybe 20%? We know nothing.

someone will get a very good deal, someone will get a very bad deal, that's how it always worked, not sure why all the crying

... they should just call it a lottery and be done with it!
On the other hand, it's not supposed to be known as gambling, and with lottery tickets you can't (conventionally) camp and bot yourself an improved chance of getting a winning ticket, while leaving all other purchasers without any chance at all of anything considered good.
Also, with a lottery, the organiser must say the odds and what prizes are available.
Thus, calling this show a lottery would be unfairly positive. It's a whole lot worse than that ...

Tell me something new. I ended up exchanging my stack of regular tokens (never looted a rare) for pills like 2 years ago before the introduction of exceptional L items.

Is not like MA is forcing everyone to do Mayhem or open boxes, if you see that it's NOT a good deal for you just go do anything else. There is plenty of content ingame. But whatever MA do or how many amazing unL items will come to the vendor, many people will still complain.

Let's assume prices are the same as in 2018 (Ped value).

If I paid $3500 for a LP40 Perfected in 2018 I'd need to sell it for $4,490 in 2025 to get the same purchasing power for my $.

After a fuckup, its not just "lets forget it happened"

This is actually a good idea. Having a raffle before every restock could work. Everyone could purchase 1 ticket from a vendor (free), and MA could draw as many winner tickets as there were items added. Tickets should be tradeable. To purchase an item, one had to pay Mtokens + rare + 1 winner ticket. To even out the odds, this could be done in a number of restock events, so we'd had several raffles to join. Can't be too hard to add this feature...

Man do you know AI could deem your comment worthy?

Here's what I suggest:

- Take the fridge, import into Project Entropia Dollar
- Import the fridge, then take the vendor out
- Add salt and pepper with mayhem token in Planet Calypso
- Make sure to doughnut the PED and Rare Mayhem Token
- After that everyone will be happy and bring a lot of money to Mindark
