EBN: Robots overwhelming Calypso! 06 Apr 2006The situation is dire! EBN reporters have been slain. Robots are everywhere! Commander droids spotted! RDI plead colonists to stay firm! Any rare items found can be exchanged for rewards in the near future. RDI needs the rare items to counter this last stand on Calypso. This is not the end, it can't be...
 
OK, cool, so we gotta shoot and loot more ... I just wonder where this is all going? Personally I'd like a mod FAP and some supremacy armour as reward for the rare items :)
 
Sweet! We're all gonna die! Commander bots huh? Sounds big and bad to me.

More bots! Bring on the death, chaos and destruction! I'm rather fond of Ithaca, but if they need to nuke it to put something better in its place, then drop them bombs Batman! Just don't take 6 more VU's to bring us another artsy fartsy version of Hadeshiem!
 
Yeah maybe 10k for such item is cheap if u get an uber fap/armor/gun for it..
 
ok so lets see

1) bomb a city, build a new one in its place...........nahh ;)

2) kill the revival terminal, add a new use to apartments ;) .......... hopefully :D

3) a way to get more ped thru ammo and decay :dunce:

just a few thoughs, ill edit if i have more :D

First off: I love when MA makes events like this!

But do anyone remember the... um... wonderful... rewards from the last robot event (Operation Scarecrow)? The thing where you where supposed to loot a certain amount of robot parts for them to investigate and in return you got:

Nate Valley is under attack, and there is talk that there is robot mobilization West of Port Atlantis, making their way closer to the city...

I went to Nate Valley, only to die over and over again at revival...

I'm not sure what other cities are under attack atm, but I'll keep informed ;)

By the way, there's a bot standing right in top of me, killing ppl that revive over and over again, AI? .

After begging the MA Monitor for a while, they finally spawned this bad boy on us at Wolverine about an hour ago. Can't believe it didn't even glowball....

Went ad checked that part out all the way to the coast, no bot in sight.

Well, There are bots North West of PA, a bit north west of the PVP circle, ALOT of them... east of the bridge.

Jackfree told me he got attacked south of Ithica I believe when he tped.

Dub, what in the world is that?? Stats??

Maybe it has something to do with Globals not Glowing. :tongue2:

As for what is going on, maybe Eudoria is going to be over run by Robots, and everyone has to be evacuated to CND where it is safe for the moment.
Could well be the start of some sort of quest type system, whereby, those with enough fire power and skills can take down a lot of robots, without too much bother, and hope for some nice big items or hofs? :wise:

Or, it will end like all the rest, lots of robots dying, lots of PED's wasted and not many hofs, and some items traded for other items as stated earlier, that aren't even worth the effort. Then the RDI says that they have a new uber way to destroy the robots or at least keep them at bay and not invading as much as they are now, and everything goes back to normal.

A small pop, instead of a BIG BANG!!! :eek:
 
500 peds ammo on troopers etc. and the only thing rare was loot! I think my avvie is jinxed bad... :rolleyes:

Wolverine Hope is swamped with bots as well... did'nt last there very long. :)

Seems like a large scale invasion coming soon, maybe the weekend. I don't have the skills or gear to take on Drones Gen 10 and Warriors, let alone Commanders, or Big Bulk...shudder...cowers in corner and sucks thumb...

I think I will just watch.. :D

Gen 10's loot Shadow Helmet ... hmmm ... methinks you'll need at least shadow and mega health to be able to loot this one ... 210hp hit

I'm looking forward to the weekend now ... I got my 6A plated salamander (*can take down drone gen 10 and warrior gen 7) and I'm raring to go. Had a quick run yesterday but no good loots unfortunately.
 
Vigi + 6A can take down drone 10's but its got be in peak condtion and you'll need to fap a little.

The story looks like it could be a really good one, I just hope it doesnt end like all the others in some UBER UBER item looted but a rather more intresting story.

Perhaps Amethera will be lost and so all of us have to move to the safe uninhabitated NW of Amethera and build a new life there, before coming back and kicking a** in the robot war??

Some many possible scenarios I cant handle it :scared:

I hope it doesn't end like this, as this seems to be how all these big hunts end.
Loads of people hunting, not much in the way of loot being spread around and then one person ends up with a Massive ATH, probably in the region of 40-50k ped this time around, maybe more, and a lot of other people all fed up, due to the wasted PED on lootless hunts.

I know I saw a lot of hofing and globaling last night, but really hope MA come up with something more interesting this time around. They start off with what looks like a really good story, possible changes to how things will end up in the game with the possible loss of several cities (Not sure this is going to happen since all the major updates they made to the cities. Would be a big waste of man hours in the development) and then it all ends in a fizzle.

I hope i'm wrong, and there is one major storyline coming, otherwise this kind of event is going get boring pretty fast, if it's the sort of thing we can expect each time? :confused:
