Hello all.
The goal of this thread is to show what you can profit/lose by hunting in Entropia.
Smilgs is a lvl 189 swordsman, 222 swords dmg, 208 laser sniper, 268 laser dmg, lvl 120 pyro hit, lvl 173 pyro dmg, lvl 129 evader, lvl 114 dodger, lvl 113 paramedic, 539hp, lvl 153 average prof-standing combat for now. Lvl 111 animal, 94 mutant and 76 robot looter.
1.081M total skills by MA ingame count, all (?) known unlocks (46) done, 154 of 164 skills 2k+, 2 of all 30k+, 9 of all 20k+ and 38 of all 10k+
Using:
Will post an update end of each month on actual run results (Google Docs) and also the total.
When relevant, will add my crafting (avg lvl 51) / resource collecting (avg lvl 66) results as well.
I try to follow these simple rules
P.S.
The math of return vs. time spent and pure potential balance is pretty interesting.
1) Since my return, ~11 years ago around ~44750 hours have been spent in hunting (not counting the other related activities like selling loot etc. lets just disregard them).
I doubt anyone close to Europe would be spending time for less than 4$ per hour which is already very low.
Meaning ~179k$ worth of time spent on hunting activity, with ~+64.5k$ return.
Time spent vs. loot gained balance -107k$
2) Real spent money wise, with 169kEur (175k USD based on current exchange rate) spent, best case selling all equipment would be ~110k usd back
best case selling bulk avatar skills etc ~55k usd back
Balance everything spent plus theoretical sale -10k$
Considering the money and time spent, it has been an expensive hobby at this level and with my behavior so far, and shit-loads of time spent to maintain it.

- m71a1 t8 + h105 - (tagging, range dmg) + full dmg enhancers
- arsonistic chip 4 fen (dmg over time t8) + mayhem kinetic amp 5 + all dmg enhancers
- perfected gorgon t2/mod viceroy t5/naked/knight/rascal as armor, mod serpent/5b/6a plates - mostly no enhancers
- modfap t6 + all heal enhancers
- buffs - xmas 2020 ring, summer ring 2020
- buffs - divine intervention chip 1, horns of Zagul

I try to follow these simple rules
- avoiding taxes to be sure or if there is a great taxback
- no/little MU input, as much as possible MU output
- max defense costs in terms of armor as of changes to return vs. decay
- no extra paid services like healer - with some exceptions
- stacking, avoid selling during price curve is @ lowest points for items that have a possible price peak
- participating in MA events where I think have a chance
- measuring my average return, if decent efficiency, dpp and items and your tt return < 98% for a longer period of time - something is off, or MA changed rules

P.S.2
I might sound bitter and quite often and not too trustful in MA, well it has some grounds:
- investing in overall skills, efficiency and looter skills for quite some periods have not had the promised effect on my tt returns, good old 95% to 96% range
- after buying both of the unique Osseocollum land areas end of 2013 - one with 2x dna small maturity and one with 1x dna big maturity, with the higher maturities having a different (better) loot composition and decent MU overall, ~1 year later MA redesigned the loot tables making all the maturities loot the same + lowering MU for osseos by changing what can be looted, dropping the worth of the investment a lot with immediate effect
- I went on to collect TEN Chronicle armor set in 2013 and spent ~80k peds for the 6 parts, just to see the last part event for it never happen, and has not happened to date still even though by now even FEN event is over, support is radio silent on it - to be fair eventually the armor piece was released shortly after someone else bought the incomplete armor set from me think in 2021
- ~6 months after I bought the top Merry x-mas gun with buff effects (Viridian) spending 90k in purchase and tiers to T9, there was a decision to nullify crit buff effects on return which left me with a highly undesirable weapon
- ~1 year after I acquired the soul-bound Viceroy armor set for ~18k peds, there was a decision to nullify crit buff effects on return which left me with a virtually useless expensive soul-bound armor
- I bought the most expensive amp (2 in existence) for my unique sword, Trauma 10 amplifier March 2018 - 9 months later 13 FEN Trauma 10 amplifiers dropped which were all superior to mine
