NBK - Now Recruiting On All Levels

Thinking outloud..

Just athought 2 all players..i have started playing in ent when we still had gold.and loot..lol kiding..

strted from a group..called..the borg after 1 year or more we started

The Wolfpack..had that nearly 3 years and as with all societies ..the group off friends got from 30-to 20 to 10 to 2-6 in divrent time zones..


it got disolved ..in my sick bed time... allas... what 2 do ..found a new home at Holland.nu.. untill bart went ck... not 2 maney actives..and yes slowly but surely you outgrow..yar old friends level wise..

and then i met NBK..


been looking at the the top dogs society...s during the years..dont we all..


and i 4 1 wasnt 1 2 join big groups..etc..etc..

hell was clanless. not friendless..
had a couple of offers/// tu..kindly

then i shoped around and found Mc nasty and hardwrath who offered me a new home..

we are a couple a months further down the line..

started as NBK elite miner...then ..we looked at my stats ..and dam can u be in the new top society...didnt seem much 4 me....oh well lets try..have enough.. 4 it

well must say..it has been a warm bath...the welcome the help...evrything..is ..great ..peeps is what makes..the game..


i know i aint much of a story teller.. but tnx guys..and 4 ya all out there.. been there done it tried..it ..Nope ya havent NBK is difrent:

Some major high level meeting council government king queen thing ?

I feel the very rare need to warn people to not expect a great deal of repect here in NBK ...just "leaders" with rules and opinions who either aren't around or assume things are cool.

I hate rude people, NBK Elite left me feeling like a complete twat after greeting half a dozen and getting zero response...Hardwrath thinks all is cool, build more ..more...more... and I really respected him for a long time.


My tip for you ? Stop the BS and get involved in your own Soc ..know your members, ALL of them.

Really don't think you stayed in NBK long enough to have a well underbuilt opinion about what NBK is all about.

You complain about this and that, but what did you do in terms of interaction? Honestly? Saying Hi in soc chat once in a fortnight doesn't really cut it if you want to make friends or interact. Not saying your way is wrong. We all have our own way of playing this game, but in a soc like NBK we are used to make ourself heard. Atleast that is my impression and my idea of it all.

I've been a member of NBK for 3+ years. Seen the ups and downs, but also seen that it works. We have fun, we progress, we like it.
We have a structure within the NBK that works, and Yes, we have visible leaders with very well expressed ideas of what they want the soc to be. Nothing wrong with that in my mind.

I wish you luck in your future endevours, I'm sorry we didn't live up to your expectations, but please restrain yourself when commenting on things you know little about.

Timmers as you know, people who are lacking in social skill often fail in social settings. When I met you, you warned me about your lack of social skills. You were in NBK Elite for a couple of weeks and the entire time you were in the NBK you did about a sum total of zero to try and interact with others.

After you left I contacted you to see what the issue was, you complained that someone standing next to you didn’t acknowledge you. Furthermore you complained that no one talked to you in soc chat. A society doesn’t revolve around one member (you) and if you want to make friends with people and interact with them then you have to take the initiative. We don’t roll out a red carpet and make a big fuss about a new member.

NBK Elite is a very active society with 50ish people and at any time of day 24/7 there are at least a half dozen people online and 100% of them are very likeable and easy to get along with. If you don’t have the ability to make friends in that setting then you sir should remain a freelancer.

It’s been over two weeks since you left the NBK and since you and I have spoken. Not one person in the NBK has done any wrong to you. I don’t know what sparked this little tantrum of yours and I really don’t care. Based on what you just sent me via PM it’s clear that you aren’t a sane person.

Stay off our recruiting thread and go find something better to do with your time.

Oh that "secret black list" that you mentioned isnt a secret.... its a sticky thread in our main forum

Jeez, it must be great to post when you don't know what you're talking about . . . I mean, seriously, it's even in your forum signature!

When you announced you were leaving, it caused NBK as a whole to evaluate what happened, and know what answer we came to?

WE CAN'T HELP PEOPLE WHO DON'T WANT TO MAKE AN EFFORT

We aren't here to hold people's hands through everything, and show them where to go. Our Generals and Colonels aren't babysitters who prepare activities for everyone to play nice with. Sometimes societies go through a rough point, and NBK Elite is no different. That rough point is over, and everything is getting rolling again. Same thing happened to NBK Legion last summer, but I among others helped to keep it alive to the point where it is today. It happens from time to time, and unfortunately you joined during the rough point, but by leaving as you did it showed you didn't have much patience, either. You apparently didn't feel like making more than a cursory effort to make yourself known to the NBK community.

Currently, individuals take it upon themselves to make events for others. People form team-hunts regularly because they talk to each other. We're finally getting everything settled after the updates appear to be finished for now, and things are rolling. NBK-hunts are starting up again on a semi-regular basis, occasional information classes are being held, and there's even Q&A threads in our sub-forum about various aspects of gameplay. People are becoming more active again because the environment is more stable now, and it's starting to show with our member-counts.

And you know what?

You're missing out on a good thing here, because we're stronger now more than ever, and it keeps growing with every person we have who doesn't quit on us within two weeks of joining.

What Savvy says is true... when you left we did create a thread about it in the NBK Council forum. In that thread, everyone came to the same conclusions as what has already been mentioned above.

ok i've seen a few posts to join, i have pm'd those who have said they're interested in NBK Miners.

If you would like to join us, could you please post what part of the soc you want to join?

If you want to be a Miner, say NBK Miners or if you're over level 30, then Elite Miners.

If you want to hunt, then NBK Army/Legion/Elite/Elite Squad/top soc are your socs of choice (depending on skill level)

If you're semi active, but wanna join us, then apply for NBK Otium.

You can find all of our info @ the soc term, feel free to apply for the one you feel best fits you and someone will get to it. Or pm one of us on this thread.

NBK Legion is definately very active at the moment with lots of new recruits, many questions being asked and answered and lots of new friendships being formed.

Looking forward to meeting anyone else that thinks Legion is the place for them!

So how were you not respected? I have not run across anyone who has been disrespected that was in the society by another member. What 'rules' were you held accountable for? I never once saw you make any comments or do anything with the group. And FYI, the General of Elite has been out of the game for a few weeks so that could be the reason why you did not see him.

After making this post, I agree you should feel like a complete twat, I would if I were you. I seriously doubt that you were ignored if you made any effort to talk to people in soc chat. You joined Elite around the time I left it and the week we were in there together I never once saw you log in, I even added you to my FL to greet you but alas you never logged in. I am not there now but I know the quality people we have in that soc and they would not ignore someone.

How many posts did you make in our forum? Hmm...oh yeah, 1. The one where you said you were leaving. Honestly you should take your own advice and should have gotten involved in the soc. There were some team hunts for lower level members that everyone could join in and have fun...I'm pretty sure you did not attempt to attend one.

So, let me take the time to thank you for making an ass of yourself in our recruiting thread. If you have any more moans, groans, questions, concerns please feel free to message me and maybe I can help council you and we can get rid of the disillusions about the society you were once apart of. Otherwise feel free to join 'The Other Forum' and you can make friends with some of the other idiots who make rude remarks with no substance about a society they honestly know nothing about.

I actually went to NBK Elite about a week ago to see how things were going with my own eyes. Since then about 10 people have joined NBK Elite and not one of them has had an issue with integrating into the society.

People are constantly saying "hello" and "goodbye" to each other in soc chat along with the normal conversations and team stuff in-between.

So no, I don’t just assume everything is fine and turn a blind eye to things.

As existing and previous NBK leadership can tell you, if there actually is a problem in the NBK some where I will turn things inside out if need be in order to get it fixed.

You really don't know what you are talking about, do you?
I've been in every soc from Legion up to Elite Squad and haven't ever noticed people in any soc being rude or not welcoming. And I know many of the people in Elite, they are all nice people and are easy to get along with. You can't expect us to roll out a red carpet for every new member who joins. You have to make contact yourself, and saying Hi in soc chat every now and then is not enough, you have to start conversations, ask questions and so on. And I know for a fact that HW does check up on every society. You were in NBK for what? A couple of weeks? Thats usually not long enough to make friends, ingame nor in RL. And according to HW you lack social skills, that doesn't really help. I don't think you tried as hard as you say you did to make contact. If you had stayed longer and tried harder I'm sure you would have made some friends.

Good luck in whatever you'll do from now on, and please stay out of our recruiting thread.

Hmmm I think I was still in Elite at the time you were first there and I dont recall seeing you in soc chat....Sorry for you that you seem to have difficulty...and attitude before even allowing anyone to really get to know you ... but posting in our recruiting thread is just showing immaturity ... but also is showing how many NBK members love NBK...
