We have three major systems coming soon as well (no ETAs, but they are top of the list atm); Factories (mass production, contenr for all ranges of participants), event system, and an item enhancement system.

Among other areas...

o_O MB add these to the roadmap thread you've got goin. ;)

item enhancement eh.. is my valor going to do plasma damage? ;) will it glow? =))

as of right now, do mobs have different damage type protection? i.e. will it be beneficial to use blp vs. one mob, or laser vs. another? (and in the future, cold/plasma/electric/acid/etc?)

*adds EMP to his mk2.* c'mere drones, time to die.

[edit: tommorow of course darkscorp =)]

[edit: and when i say blp and laser, i mean pene and burn respectively]

will this mean my jester d1 will self develop into a rocker launcher if i use it long enought?

The Quality Assurance guys won't tell me atm. That usually means they don't know either, meaning we still have some time to wait.

Maybe end of the week, more probably during next week. There are major re-writes to core systems in PE, so there is a lot of testing going on. A lot.

Anyways, it is better than last Thursday, when if you activated a mining bomb, you crashed the entire test server system. ,-)

Don't let them taunt you Marco. :) It's all good. I know how it is; In order to reach perfection you must first try (and fail) many times. Keep up the good work! :computer:

Yes, agree.
Keep up the good work and do as much tests you can before implemention. :D
I am sure it will be something good.

Hmm testing and training are the two bits that almost ALWAYS get squeezed off the systems development/ implementation process (sometimes because of innappropriate user pressure) ...this leads to buggy software and a poor user experience. I for one would like MA to take as much time as it needs...to train the support people - iron out bugs etc before implementing a new system which changes the CORE SYSTEMS in PE

*Really* looking forward to the quest system

The odd quests have been good, but they're stand-alone ones, that serve as much to get in extra money for MA as to give players something to do

A good quest system would be a long-term ongoing thing, where you need to complete part 1 to unlock part 2, complete part 2 to unlock part 3, etc etc.

Means each player could go through it at their own pace. Rewards could be unlocking certain skills unique to questing, receiving unique armours (or clothes, furniture etc)

The quests system should be a well thought out storyline, with other one-off quests (similar to the ones you have been doing) brought out from time to time to tie in with that story

Can't wait :tongue2:

Carefull we dont wonna end up with PE WoW edition.. I dont like the "each player could go through it at their own pace" It would take a lot of the social part of PE away.

me like coming system/ all nice.

well, every VU the content list is so full of nice things. just that they dont list the things they gonna screw up.

anyways, in wait for it.

Ah, but who says you HAVE to do the quests? I'm quite sure mi bebi meant that you can do them optionally, when you get bored from trying to unlcok such-and-such skill.

*rings a bell* "BRING OUT YOUR QUESTS!" *rings bell*

Does that mean the databases got properly normalised? :D

If so, kudos to the development team if they pulled it off. If not, spank them. Spank them long, and spank them hard.

Currently, even a noob avatar is able to do the weapons maximum damage, even though he won't do it as often as a veteran player. But with this system, his maxmimum damage would be lowered, aswell as the economy.

But I guess we'll just have to wait and see...

Maybe it has one field telling you the max possible dmg and one field telling what dmg you will do, not average but a fixed amount. Mobs are allready doing a fixed amount, drones didn't use to but do now as well - maybe it's our time? Not that I think it very likly, seeing what MA did to the first aid, but still.

Btw if someone didn't get it this is how I meant:

Now you might do 65% average with your Big-ass rifle that has a max dmg of 100. After the VU then maybe you will constantly deal 65%, ie 65dmg, with each shot - and not 20, 100, 75, and so on

Again, I think it not very likly as it would be a lot easier to determine what to hunt for a larger chanse of profit, cutting the overkill to a minimum :D

I never posted it in wish list, but hopefully Marco will see the ideas here :) Two things i'd like to get in new VU:

- Zoomable radar
- Claim rods on radar

Claim rods on radar would be the next best thing after bomb/probe count and new refining system. If the next VU has this in it... well then i would vote for MA on our next parliament elections. :silly2:
I appreciate every single update that comes... Yes.. i may whine at the beginning sometimes, but eventually i appretiate it ( except for the bouncing trees :p ) . Hell.. even people are not perfect .. .then why should a game be?

Will the ignore button start working? (PLEASE!)
Will the beauty tool bug get fixed?

AMEN !!! When some buttwipe continually asks to trade or private chat, once I press "Ignore" let it REALLY IGNORE them.

May Lootius bless your endevors :)

WISH: I'd like pvp kill free towns on Amethera... Hate going through a TP and then being shot before that *ANNOYING* white fade screen finish loading (wtf did they implant that fade screen anyway - also when teleporting with chips...) HATE THAT

Anyway thx MA for doing a great job, now please respond to my Support case about the spaceship - that I submitted over a mth ago without a reply

reread Marko's posts - he said there will be no kill zones around A. TPs...

On that note... can we please have the bouncy tree's removed, ever since they were introduced my framerate in forested area's sucks, and turning wind off only helps slightly.

link?

.....

well, I have forgotten the order of paragraphs so it might not be in this VU...

Marco|MindArk said:
On some other notes, we have solved the much annoying “Empty FAPping”. It sometimes occurs when you change between items quickly and the server fails to register the change fast enough. This update comes in VU 7.6 as well.

We are also looking into a big annoyance with the Revival Terminal and Teleporter killings – PvP will be removed from these areas and safe zones will come. We are looking into the prospect of allowing landowners to shut PvP on and off, but that is still being investigated, so no promises there, yet.

and link is here:

https://www.planetcalypsoforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3869&highlight=pvp

and what about taming?

One other thing: trapped mobs should do no damage to players, they can't receive damage but sometimes can still hurt, which is plain gay annoying and makes decay peds flow to not-so-well-tweaked trap system.

people i think dont mess up TOOL stats dynamicly shown...

i heavily think that means stats on all all items that are TOOLS..

detectors,extractors/drillers,refiners,faps maybe..

i dont think at all those will be available on weapons or even less armors :wise:

stats on mining equipment have been requested for more then 2 years now

i hope MA didnt forget craftable boxes with crafting update lol
