I saw an ad for Pink Floyd DVD set on the screen at Cape Corinth. Sorry, didn't take a screenie :(

I am seeing an ad for pirates of the carribean for serveral days now.
 
heheh maybe i should watch more tv :D any other ads besides these?
 
The AD´s seems to be country related ,
since several day´s i can see Pink Floyd DVD , Fluch der Karibik2 (Pirates of the Caribbean) and Poseidon (Movie)

If you would have a look on what you can see as Ad´s , just have a look in your
Project Entropia folder . ( example = C:\Project Entropia\Data\massive\ )
There are .dds files which you can display with a dds file viewer ( like WTV )

If there is no massive folder , there are no real ad´s for your country ( or whatever will select these ) at the moment. (as in australia i know)

Be shure that there will be come some soon :D
 
So, with the idea of Ads giving more loot, should i set my avatar watching TV for a few hours :laugh:

Definatly. I put my avatar in front of the adscreen, and went to the toilet. When i came back, my avatar kept telling me to go see that movie.

But the first mob I killed was a HOF o_O
 
OK , so that means that the"better loot" option is another crap.

If is not streaming , that means that you'll never benfit from disable-enable the adds... if a company in your country want to make publicity in EU, nice , if not ?

MA sucks once again .... :rolleyes:

interesting, does that mean the ad related loot is confined to those countries recieving ads? Also, im in the UK and no ad folder, which is a bit of a surprise, anyone else confirm?
 
Is there a way to play those DDS File formats that are located in our Massive folder? Cause i have 2 icons in there, but i have only seen 1 Ad a very long time ago.

Haven't seen any real Ads since a few hours after the new system came out...
 
I dont even have a Massive sub folder inside Data :s
 
Yes, the ads are country related. I've seen a Finnish ad for Poseidon since the launch of the VU.
 
Okay now the kn00b question... wtf do U guys see those advertisements? I only see ads for Entropedian magazine and other player related ads... (on big screen televisions - or ad displays)
 
yes they are ingame, I've seen PotC alot on my game (Dutch)
 
The Pink Floyd ads are the first real ones that I have seen too. I just noticed them last night.

I'm seeing the 'poseidon' movie ad over and over and it's getting really annoying. If there's one movie I'm not going to see this year it will be poseidon because I'm really tired of hearing the 'you think you can get us outta this boat' line. So if you don't see these ads you're lucky :D
 
I've seen the Pink Floyd ads for about a week now and it seems like the frequency is increasing... Haven't seen any others...
 
Yes, i have also seen movie ads from the start of this VU, first poseidon, then pirates.

The ads are Geo-Targetted, i got Danish translated ads, like...

"Pirates of the caribian - Død Mands Kiste"

(silly translations, but that's another discussion)

I just hope that it wont matter in which country you are, since we will NEVER see any ads from Costa Rica. :rolleyes:

Me too ... and I've got a massive folder with 8084.dds in it ... :dunno: :) :dunno:

I have an 8042.dds and an 8280.dds

what those are, donno, but they are just 22kb each
 
Pretty cool that i see ads in my own language.
I saw it for the first time yesterday, Pirates of the Carribean ... xx juli in de bioscoop! :)

seems that neither Italians have any ads for now... No "massive" folder in Data here. :(

Now, MA, I'm here with my ticket that grants me access to bigger loots: how can I redeem it?! :p

I dont think you actually WATCHING the adds is the important part. I think you having enabled the feature is. Its almost impossible to track wether or not youre near an ad screen AND looking at it compared to just tracking if you have the feature enabled (which would have to be checked on logon)...

Oh.. And yeah, Ive seen the PotC add in norwegian.. As im in Norway..

It's not a surprise that i have no Massive folder because i live in the @$$-hole of Europe, but i could well imagine some people screaming "Regional/National Discrimination!" and sueing MA for lying, misinformation and discrimination of certain groups of people what is quite serious in the EU if i'm not totally mistaking

im afraid you are mistaking.
when you first applied for an account, you did this for a game , and a game is what you are playing. You cannot sue anybody IRL for what's happends inside the game, as far as you agreed to EULA. Inside the game, MA may say :buy this, buy that; you are free to buy , or not. It's not an IRL trade, so it's regulated only by the EULA.

example : MA never said that ALL AND ANY PLAYER will use the in-game add-system; MA only said : " the players may " ; then you login, and findout you need first to buy an estate in order to be alowed to use the add-system.
