Hi all,

i'm reading lot of this mining section last months, i'm not playing after february but now i may take my way to new begin.

One thing is read how Shackleton do his test. I'm not gonna deposit more than have done now. 10 dollars all i deposit so far. Sweating is boring as everyone knows that. Hunting low level mobs is fun but taking lot of time. So I choose mining now while i gather missing TP's. So there it goes now my goal is how long i can go with 50 peds. No skills and no equipment.

Run 1 : Let's get started

Shopping TT equipments
Genesis Star Energy Extractor 2.8 PED
Ziplex Ju10 1.80 PED
30 Probes 15 PED

50 - 19.60 = 30.40

Crude Oil 33.11 PED (selling via auction 108%) total 35.40 PED

38,40 - 1.33 = 37

First run goes profit 12,60 ped not bad at all.

67.40 peds on card after first run.

All good advice are welcome, i try to update this couple of times per week. My work little bit harder my playing now but i will try.

Second run is now activated, so many water across that i don't drop many probes on that current run. Oyster island to Myrene island is hard, those rippers are biting me to dead. Note to my self, when have spare peds buy tp chip.

67.40 - 25 - 2 = 40.40 ped on card.

Run 3 : Myrene to Akmuul

after run still 45 probes left so i keep these on next run.

total decay : 0.27 Ped

Good luck :) Be interesting to see what you find, I've no idea of any good enmatter places so can't offer any advice :laugh: I have a low TT tp chip in storage you can have if you want though, just drop me a pm...
 
All people make now mining test with 20 probes ore hunting test with 10 ped ammo. What can u tell us from this short runs? i don`t think there is anyching to learn from this and they apear one TESTER at each day. WTF???
Is someching lake "hy i`m new in game and i want u to know what i find with my 10 ped from my sweat selling". I realy don`t whant to know what u find!
 
I can understand you Dexter, but i think tests and their puplication on all levels (ped-wise, skill-wise and experience-wise) are important.

Sure thing Evos test cannot bring experienced players anything at all, we made it a thousand times and know what can be expected in a so-and-so run, whit this and that equipment.

But this test seems to be accurate and therefore can bring valid data, like the other shakleton-tests.

In the end you cannot learn anything about chaos or luck at all, but newbies can learn something about risk and success-possibilities.
 
Thank you all, for reply's and luck wishes. I continue that test. Not only for myself. I wanna test all these wisdom that i read on EF mining, on other players thread and aswers. Not only these dont complain your bad luck or stop whining if loot is not good.

For Dexter, you dont have to read if you dont like read this kind of text, simple? I dont tell how i sweating my first 2 peds. This is all a about new player test, how to play and enjoy with little amount deposit. I try to learn and i read many thread shows mining is profitable profession with low amount peds and low skills. If you choose right equipments for your skills.

Meawhile i travel to Nate Valley and journey continue to next tp. First runs target is gather tp's, that is import to all new players. And i make some mining sametime. After that i see how ped balance is, and raise probes amount on runs to get better data input. Some noobs are success on mining when make tp gathering.

I am currently doing a very similar test with a completely new avatar. However, I am trying to figure out how much money you spend to graduate as a surveyor (600). I just started last week, but once I graduate I will post my results. In the meantime i just running from collecting TPs and hoping for the best. GL in your test,

good luck with this test..

it doesnt matter if you do 10 runs with 1k ped

or 1k runs with 10 ped :p

its just a useful thing for newbies as they dont do 1k ped runs(nor do i).


it also gives a way to the meaning why your doing something.

and you all know how it is. i'd rather do something too that helps others :ahh:

tests like this is whortless. it only saying how it goes four U, lets say 1000 people would do this like a test too se iff 50ped will take 10min or more too burn...i cant say that will say nothing eather;) this game is based on so many things luck-skills-knowledge etc etc....right place in right time can make those 50ped to 50k peds or u will lose them fast as hell... i have mined alot whith my little experience i have learned its about patiencent and luck skills only effect the gear/equip u can use better equip = deeper finds = rare ores ...

iff i would mine 1 month it will most likely be losses off many k peds iff i make it too 6 month or even 1 year it can be more profitable,, BUT this is based on my knowledge in how i do when im out on my mining tours:rolleyes:

One IV oil stays there, cannot drilling up, atrax guard that deposit :)

still have 10 probes left to next run
buying 40 probes more.

After leaving Rei's ped card show 19.60

Sakura city, end of day.
18 probes left on that run, move to next run.

next run cannot be long distance run, i choose some short ones and try to get more probes to long distance runs. Note to myself, sell oil.

Force, i cannot see how this is whortless. When i start playing EU there is not this kind of information. I see these test are good, all test from noob to uber players. You can read and learn. Ask advice and get replys that is all about. I read lot of these threads and find many good advice. As Evolution say that Shackleton tests are good. I think main reason is how Evolution can avoid deposit big moneys for peds to burn. Yes i agree that everyone can burn 1K peds very fast, buy uber finder and get big amp. Rich noob can do that but regular not do that. Take a exsample, deposit about 20 dollar and you get about 200 ped to choose what to do. Go to hunt, ok, you grab opalo and ammo from TT and go out, snables and other low level mobs to kill, many of them. You looking good loots for hunting, 5% of new players can profit via hunting, right? That need knowledge. Everything can turn profit if you choose right equipments and know what to do with equipments. Most common mistake is use high level equipment with low skills.

GL Evolution for your test and keep update this. This maybe help some new players to choose their way on EU.
 
Run 5 : Pandora to Nymptown

I planned go to Minopolis but ended 2 days later to Nymptown. So bad outpost situation but still make it by my self.

Another IX ample oil find.
Gotta keep moving faster and try hurry next tp today eve, hope that is possible.

Finds :

Today check storage and sell all Crude oil 50.46 tt value away .
And 30 probes move to next run, no need to buy at this point.
Head to minopolis next.

Run 6 : Nymptown to Minopolis

Nothing good finds and avoiding most bigger mobs like armax bull guardians and running on coast line.

Dropped 28 probes while waiting auction sell.

0.52 Melchi (saved)

Oil sell on auction 109% on 54.80 ped added to Ped card.

Next run head up to north. I buy 50 probes to next run

ped card shows 32.64 ped, so far so good.

Storage (saved) stuff tt value is 17.11 ped.

Question how that is possible? Ziplex Ju10 gives 189.3/204.0 and Mf-101 gives 263.7/263.7 but learning period is over.
Mf-102 gives 180.4/323.4
Ziplex Ju25 gives only 79.6/303.5

So how is best to proceed max out Ju10 and move to MF-102? or move now to MF-102?

Heavy spawns of mobs, try to avoid these and found 4 times my self in Outpost NW from Minipolis.

I try to reach Fort Argus from Fort Zeus, two days trying and i quit that, but good news is very good mining run with 40 probes.
I got sizable melchi XI deposit.

Dropped 40 probes. 20 moved to next run.

start to go west from Zeus, there are only daikiba/bery, youll reach the water, go south a several minutes to avoid the warriors, armaxes and the troopers on the other side of the river :) Then you can turn to the west again, and go safely to argus, if you follow the mountains south from the armaxes. Not so hard to reach argus, but youll have to use the radar :)
 
Thanks Walter for advice. Problems cause by Warriors and neconus (not sure mob name). They are fast and hit hard. I can use my radar, it's not a problem but many mobs cause slalom effect :)

I think, next try is from other side of Fort Argus. Need to think about that.

My personal advise stick to water and eudora to get some skills first.
Try north of troy there is smal lakes with fouls and east of limnadian...was good places for me when i started my game here:)
and for finders mix depth with skill gains i think 102 is best for you now
 
Easier way to Argus is from Ithaca, once you get off the island even if you die to the ambu's you'll respawn at Argus anyway, coming from the east side if you die anywhere even very close to Argus you'll respawn back at the east outpost.
 
keep it up, just try to avoid low % stuff
 
+rep for a nice info update. Ignore the neg posters, nobody makes them read. Also, I'm doing similar to you and the right tool I found was the mf-210(L) I had a hard time finding one that wasn't a fortune, but I bumped into Vixen in his shop @ pa and he made me one. Anyways if you can find one that you can afford you will have a much better depth and skillgains. After that you should consider moving up to the mf-211(L), again much better search depth than the unlimited finders, and it will get you skillgains. I'm sure you have skills for 210 already and 211 starts @ level 1.5 or so. GL I'll race you to the first HOF:laugh:

More noob problems, i take a new plan yesterday. TP jump to Atlas Haven and travel to Camp Echidna, looks like a easy way. No its not. Killed and found my self in outpost. Looking every direction and faced many atroxs and feffos. What to do, i see my mentor was online and take request to him. Rescue me please, ok mentor help my ass out problem again. Thanks for that.
I'm not only one in this Outpost, greetings to KC and Hammer :) KC helps my mentor fapping him when attack Atroxs and clean our way out off outpost.

Next tp to Fort Argus i take advice and try that ways, avoiding time loss and i can continue test without days delay. I keep now dropping probes on east side of Echidna and move next tp today eve or tomorrom.

Hello,

I think that you should stay with mf-101 even if maxed, cos when i had skill to use the of-211L i start to use it but i has getting better claims with of-101 so i trade again to of-101 and stay long time with it, profiting, till get of-211L maxed and after that i trade and start to have the same claims and better that use to have with of-101. I really dont belive that we had some bonus skill gain before it's maxed, but is only my 2pecs.
GL and stay in mining, try to have bigger runs it's more average!!

Another hard outpost, so i dropped probes near C Echidna.

Dropped 56 probes. 4 moved to next run.
