ROCKtropia's first campaign in its brand new Hell event area, aims to raise up to $15,000 for Erica Cowell's liberation Fund. Erica is a 36 year old Jazz/Blues Singer living near Montreal Canada, she and her husband are both passionate gamers and ROCKtropia players, Erica's Avatar name is Olivia Livforever. Erica is currently diagnosed with MS and she is in need of financial help to undergo a revolutionary new treatment which can liberate her from her wheelchair and drastically improve her quality of life. Funds will be collected in the form of taxes on Demon Hunting and mining that takes place in the ROCKtropia Hell Mines. 100% of taxes collected during the campaign will be held in Escrow until such time that sufficient funds have been raised to help pay for her treatment at which time Mindark the developer of the Entropia Universe platform will oversee the distribution of funds.

So basically he's adding taxes on an LA which cycles over 100k ped weekly, and from which he gets somewhere between 1-10% from. It does in no way interefere with his own income; heck it even adds to it, as the only way to put cash into the Olivia fund is to mine/hunt in HELL. In other words, HELL will cycle even more PED at absolutely no cost whatsoever.
What a charitable guy.

To put it into perspective:
Businesses usually support charity from time to time since it's a nice promo. What they don't do is:
1) Raise their prices temporarily and just donate the added price, giving nothing away themselves.
2) Go through a fund that is ONLY possible to do by buying their stuff. Imagine what it would feel like if the only way to donate to the Red Cross would be if you bought hamburgers at McDonalds.

Anyway, I guess FOMA LA owners have one less thing to worry about now.

Edit: After Lhava's research, I retract my statements concerning ND. Good find.

Sorry, but I thought there are no MS cure/treatment that has been proven to work? :confused:

Amazing how people are lashing out at not only NDS, but even the patient. You can't even look past your animosities over EU long enough to say, "Hey, what a nice cause. I will certainly help out if I can."

I think I need a break from PCF.
 
i would guess that article was written by "erica" herself. since when has mindark ever held charitable funds in an escrow account? why does the article link to erica's crappy website and her facebook page but does not link back to any rocktropia website? is this charitable thing mentioned anywhere on the RT clientloader or forum?

internet spammy bullshit. but hey thanks for sharing more pointless crap.

if i'm wrong, so be it, but this certainly smells like bullshit.

I can agree that this (charity) is a good cause, but if there is no evidence of any treatment/cure working...? :dunno: I don't want to be negative but I have seen documentaries about people abusing sick peoples trust in them having found a cure so...
 
I do not trust anyone or anything with the name Neverdie today and will never do...


I rather just send the cash in a snail mail or make a banktransfer than allowing him to be the middle hand...

Perhaps true. But I would venture to say you are being a bit more constructive than some of the other comments.
 
Its a surgery where they widen the main blood supply from the brain.

The thought is that a lack of bloodflow from the brain causes MS and Fibromyalgia.

The doctor is in the states, east coast. Can't remember exact place.


Calls it the miracle liberation surgery, 15k a pop.

Supposedly cures your desease in two weeks.


You could probably Google miracle liberation MS cure to find it, I'm too lazy to check on my cell now.

My mother has Fibro, and I didn't bother mentioning this to her when I heard about it a few months ago, but I suspected BS.

Seems like the first try failed for Olivia, and she's going to swindle another 15k for another try at it.

If I really thought someone in such a high position of power in the game would deliberately mislead people in the way that many are implying, I would have sold out a long time ago. :scratch2:

my uncle had this procedure done. It did more BAD then GOOD. I wish ND would make HELL TOKENS be bought from a vendor. Then the money raised for the tokens would go to a Charity. This way one could also use this as a tax credit. Then everyone going to HELL would be equally donating. And MU mining would not suffer!

trying to get people to Hell instead of paying it from the tax money he allready got? Sounds a bit like trying to make money of the suffering of other people. Probably gambling with people staying after. This doesnt sound morally correct.
 
I'm not saying its fake, I'm talking about the surgery bieng BS.

It didn't work the first time.

IF ND is giving HIS share of taxes, then I could care less.

IF ND is ADDING extra tax to cover this, I think its pure BS.

In that case I vote we raise taxes so I can buy a new car. It hurts my persona that my car has a butter face.

Well... for me, the problem is that there is no known working treatment for this. I do wish there was a "miracle treatment", but there is no proof of any treatment working and therefore money given to this charity may be, sadly, a waste... :dunno:

What some people do seem to have a problem with is that this is not a non-profit charity giveaway, but rather the amount given depends on how much money is spent on RT (of which NDS gets a share, unless all revenue from people spending money in Hell also goes to charity).

ND's motives are not what is being questioned.
 
Ms is a disease thats more likely to appear if you live in the northern hemisphere of the world ,

Thats what I heard the last time they discussed this disease, ( as a relative of my g-f has it )

So the blood /Flood / brain seems very far off.
 
Hello, I will begin to say, I do love charity, even though this is for a good cause, would not it be better to donate money directly to MS research, as of now there are NO known cures for MS sadly. Unless I have missed something really big, sorry to say :(

Oh and, supporting alternative medicine is not really good mostly, as it often hurts people more than it helps (in serious illnesses at least)

Doesn't hurt to be a bit paranoic when it comes to anything in the internet. For me personally anything that is somehow related to Carlito Carl Brigante is dubious until proven otherwise anyway.

Hope it is all good and not a scam of any kind, if it would work out that would be really cool.

I think you are missing their point...

1) There is no known cure/treatment to MS, you can not recover from it successfully as it is now.
2) She has apparently tried this before, and it failed, meaning it is useless to try to do it again...


EDIT: I haven't even seen anyone mention the market in EU? :confused:

Or he is the biggest scammer?
Let me emphasize on this:
If u want to do a good deed, in his stead i would have given her the 15.000 then told the press, I gave 15.000 dollar to someone in need, this money was collected from the tax of Hell. Now anyone has the choice to contribute to ND because hes such a good person, travel there (travel fee), and hunt mine there(tax).
What hes doing is promoting his Hell with the lifes of other people. Now im in the mindset omg i want to help her i MUST go there (to his casino) to gamble! Now people will come in and ofc some will stay after the event is over. So hes got more players for his tax areas after and thats a pure morally sick promotion.
