High Packet Loss to MA Servers

Hi,

is anyone having problem with connection today? specially from central europe (or slovakia)?
Im getting error on a point in amsterdam on Level3 server and can't log in

here we go again, lovely :mad::mad:

Same for me , ping go up again....

Would be nice if MA change their "provider"... kinda lame to have very good ping all along europe and have a big increase for total nothing just before MA server...
Seems like the whole internet bootleneck in right infront of MA server...

Problem is ISP (above.net) MA is using... It is a small operator with so and so network.
Must be cheap tho, rofl.
They dont have capacity in their network at all, all in upper limit all the time :scratch2: So when someone decides to set up p-to-p server in their network, rest of the customers are fucked.

MA knows this issue... but don't know if there is a plan to do something about it.

Regards

I had a ping lower than 80 before MA change ISP 2 year ago... since they use above.net i am over the 150.. with some week a pick at 300 like the last 2 or 3 day too...
We know MA server are oki , since some user have very low ping... its just if you not luky , you go though one of the bad above.net router , and you ping go up like sky rocket...

Nothing alarming, yet I got disconnected 5 times in the last half hour.:mad::mad:

Its exactly the same here.. since the maintenance its impossible to play at all.

when i make multiple server pinging on 100 ping request, i always end up with between 13 -20% packet loss and a ping from 150 to 550 max.. nothing to do apart hoping its gonna be resolved soon ...everything else is fine ofc...

very very laggy today, took sometimes 15 seconds to switch fap.

Being that most of you are in Sweden, I am going to guess that there is a bottle neck somewhere in your ISP's network. This could be a hop that is overloaded.

You all should do a tracert command and find out which ip address' come back with thehighest ping.

run>cmd>tracert xx.xxx.xx.xxx (ip address)

This command will show every ip address you must go through to connect to MA servers. Find the 2 or 3 servers and post their ip address' in this thread and then we can tell if the bottle necks are in the same hops. If this is done, it will help narrow down the problem. Good luck everyone :)

Problem is above.net

Yes...

Please MindArk, put our peds in good use and change ISP to more professional one...
I can imagine that amount of transferred data isnt going to be less in VU10 with Crytopia stuff... :(

I'm from the Netherlands, so I should be pretty close to the server... Here are my results:

[br]Click to enlarge[/br]

As you can see, my "normal" ping is okay, it's about 28ms, but as you can see in the chart, the last hop has pikes of 200ms - 300ms which are really bad.

In a ping to the server these pikes can also be seen:

Atleast I got no loss at all :yay:

Pinging "ping -n 50 64.125.26.77" gives me

32ms average up to 200 ms Spikes...

Im on Glocalnet..:yay:

the lag is so big that i cant play eu atm... exept for crafting :DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD #2 ^^

8 day now and nothing new ... alway impossible to play and ma say they can do nothing. At least i think they can contact above about this issue but no they even not dot that seem it's too much work for them ...

Yea same for me. Lag is totaly awesome but, strangely i have only 16% packet loss when i ping them. Impossible to play.

Yea, its still horrible ..Its stupid having to change ISP just because eu dont work again just after maintenance but everything else is fine, its a weird "coincidence".. i still see small lag when reaching above.net with the new isp, but no packet lost and a "great" ping under adsl 2 (on Free isp french for those that cares) ..So do like me if u dont wanna be at the same point in a year i guess :scratch2: test with other isp and make your choice.at least im upgrading for a better connection and dont feel too bad about it... just the wait times now and MA not caring at all is frustrating :(

they better get it sorted somehow.. i mean itd be ok saying that its our fault and they cant do anything..But when lot of people around the world which got lot of different isp has the problem now : again just after maintenance..
ud think theyd care more.

Man i think french side have some problem since let say, a week.

Its the MA server in germany or something like that who have a problem, or its just linked to the test phase i dunno.
But if it continue i can be weird yes. Or france try to block the game ?? who know ?

Well they can simply change ISP...
I know its not so so easy for MA to change ISP , but they have to make choose , change isp or make a game without player...
Lag was big problem in past , it was server problem...MA did spend a lot of money and time to fix that...They did it because many player did complain.and we saw after all the change in server a big change in player base.many new player was staying.now server are good , they dont lag...but its useless since ISP router is way undersized.problem is player will leave again , or new player dont stay , like 4 or 5 year ago...

And how MA will do when they will change for cryengine , with all the numerous new data to send + the zillion new player that will join after the big advertise... not speaking about the several planet comming...

lag issues are terrible the past few weeks for me... always the same spikes where nothing happens and then 5seconds later everything that happened before gets "fast forward" at 10x speed.... just not cool...

or a French ISP/network carrier traffic shapping? several complaints from French users i take it, i wonder if you all use the same underlying network. I dont think MA's "not our problem" to Dreicc is helpfull or correct, but people need to recognise it just might not actually be MA's fault or in their power. since it doesnt seem to affect everyone it looks like a network peering issue (ie where isp connect to each other). Complain to MA but also complain to your ISP as they might be able to do somthing more.
