Yes, there is a "puritan-like" segment of the us that I don't agree with either (and I am in usa), but I highly doubt Australia, Germany or any other countries are following those people in the usa in regards to any of this.

What's strange is, at least here, people that are open about sexuality are generally against guns/violence (in games and on tv, ect.), and the people that are proponents of gun rights are very conservative when it comes to sexuality...

I saw them for the first time today and wondered if that would make a difference so instead of the being "more human than human" they are a little more Westworld roughed up perhaps.

I guess all in all if you look back at Sci Fi there have always been scantly clad ladies within the genre. Was there public outrage when Deckard iced Pris or the other replicant in Blade Runner?

I guess its just a matter of context and the female "androids" in RT don't seem nefarious in nature. Maybe making them have red terminator eyes or glitchy unpredicability, like a Silicate, might make them less like a real human and less "bad taste" in so many eyes. I just

For me, the only things that are in poor taste are the things that take EU down into a trashier, seedier realm. Some of the names seem childish, but I'm not "offended" by them. I think they're quite funny, but not really appropriate for a game that seems to be getting on track now.

Well... maybe the point is that PC and RT are two different games... But they're still part of the same universe, and they're still linked.

I dunno, I just am a little disappointed in the attitude that RT tries to portray. But if others enjoy it, it's all good. Live and let live.

Been looking at this game at a distance or in there since...03 (what year was it? whatever day was the very first) and somewhat kept track of the 'story'. The recent change let's add random terrain that is unclimbable for no reason at all suggests that the story is over, and the spammed decomposing teens says the same: you can TT your logs and forget about your robot invasion memories.

Next time the robos attack, if they do, someone will be stabbing them with an UL Highway To Hell blade or a giant Dildo of Doom +10 (*tier 10 I mean, sorry) and while you're trying to see the FPC employee in the distance you'll see non-blockable hof-spam about someone successfully hacking into a government facility on Matrix planet, a Nice Move! car chase on Planet Ford or CopLand and someone getting every number correct on planet Accountancy.

Again: all this stuff would be perfectly fine if I hadn't accidentally popped over there to see for myself. Except it has no part of the game I play. Nor does watching the word NEVERDIE spammed all caps 500 times a day everytime someone amped hits an ore for a hof and still loses cash from 3k amp cost.

Separate globals, HoFs and download. If you want Rocktopia, download it, if you dont then dont download, you can still download it later if you change your mind, but if you never want it then you can still play on Calypso.

Theres a very big flaw in your logic here.
No one forces you to go to Rocktropia.

The only thing that would need to be changed for the easily offended is to remove the Rocktropia global messages, or ad a clickable filter for those messages (separate chat chanel).. "problem" solved.

Only the fact alone that some people (not saying that you are) are offended by the naming and graphics on RT makes me real sad. And what makes me real mad is that those people (sometimes) try to force their puritan morals upon all others.

You're absolutely right. Everyone's different. But I am not offended by RT from a moral standpoint. I'm offended because RT and PC are linked and people who may join RT initially and see that the names for mobs and items are ridiculous, may think that all of EU is like that. The only sexually oriented item on Calypso I can think of is the FAP-69.

But again, if people enjoy it it's cool. I do not, but that's what makes the world go round. Honestly, I'm not bothered. I'm not planning on visiting RT ever, and whatever happens over there hopefully won't impact everyone on Calypso in a negative way.

I think that's an interesting concept. No travel between planets then, no items from one planet to another, and even avatars could be only on one planet. Actually, that makes a lot more sense to me, but then it's not really a "universe" in the spacial sense, but a "universe" in the sense that it's all partially owned by the same company.... I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens.

That's the one really painful thing about playing EU... You want it to succeed and prosper, and you know that you don't have a hand in making it happen.
