I once found myself in a similar situation to where you are personally. Laid off. Not due to anything I did or did not do, but to circumstances way beyond my paygrade in the company. I know it stings because you still second guess. You do have my sympathy as a displaced worker, and my respect for your accomplishments for the Calypso colony.
Take some time, lick your wounds, and once you get settled in in a new job someplace, here's an idea for you:
Come join all the "dukes" in this Universe! You reek of gamer, my friend, and that is a good thing.
I'd be happy to have you as my wingman in space, next to me on the skirmish line, or at the drinking table as soon as that next shipment of beer comes in.
