I am a crafter way to long to not understand it is nothing more than casino but here is another border I've just crossed.

38 clicks on a MAXED L bp with .... 6 success. And no it was 1 ped each. Why the heck MA don't want to understand that such loot system makes people leaving ??

As for those who say that on next 62 clicks I would get 36 success I'd say BS !! I have never never in my carrier got 59% CoS with a run longer than 50 clicks.

I said it not once already but apparently the loot manager seems to know better so Ill repeat myself again: Best strategy is to have a happy customers! And a happy customer is the one who doesn't feel cheated

But on the other side I haven't learned anything myself either. Writing this post thought I know for a 100% that it will change absolutely nothing. I see some hope only in Planet Partners at this time. Heck please please make this place better because it is loosing more than gaining for a long time now.

No, its not a casino, in a casino u know how much they have to pay out.(75%) Here u have no idea, cause its not a casino :tongue2: It can be 70% 60% 40% :smoke:

A) Does MA (or whatever) even have loot manager?
B) "Happy customer" in MA's dictionary is 20k trox hof, 8k argo hof and rest nadaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
C) Yeap, they dont have freaking time to read what we voice our opinion in here, nothing will change cause they are busy with MJ planet to make sure dancing pvp works.

Do you thing they care about the average player and the cost of play? I have never ever read a comment or even heard a thought about this from MA masterminds. They only want your money. This is how they make profit. Their customer base are EU addicted persons who deposit frequently and when they lose .. well they deposit again. Sad but true.

Actually, Marco posted their average revenue per person and hour a few months back, but I can't find the post :wise:

The fact that you are not happy, you are still here and you are still one of the people that cycle a lot in game, is a proof that a good customer is actually the one that tolerates whatever it gets and endures whatever it takes. Maybe they see that by having this system that we consider to be stupid, they make more money. So what if you feel cheated? You click to make next few guns to sell on market anyway. You won't quit the game over that.

Well I must have missed it but if you find it please post it. I m always in the mood for a good laugh ..

... Best strategy is to have a happy participants! And a happy participant is the one who doesn't feel cheated

I took your text and changed It a bit, hope you dont mind.:silly2:

But here is the deal... I have never ever heard anything about customers from MA/FPC or w/e runs/owns this system.

Dunno If this editing changed anything for you... but I just felt that there is a need to remind ourselves that we are not customers but participants in the eyes of mighty balancing forces there may be...

I agree thou, having a bad run sucks big time... specially when you feel that skills should "help" you somehow in a particular field/timeframe or whatever. blah! Dont want to even think about this anymore lately... I just play and try to have some fun, been down too many times bc of certain expectations.

Cheers,
Robo:smoke:

How would you do it, 100% success rate regardless of skills? Just curious, since anything less than that will give "casino" results.

actually over a year ago was the quote... from December, 2009
https://www.planetcalypsoforum.com/...oobs-beware.&p=2234777&viewfull=1#post2234777

The average revenue is roughly $23 per month and player today.

The Marco says thread has that and a lot of other quotes that I and a few others found. Feel free to add to it as I'm sure the Q and A session is going to arrive at a lot more interesting Marco quotes we can all laugh or cry at in another year or two.

So... uhh... :scratch2:

Without customers paying for a game service with money, there would be no game...

Without a game, there would be no participants.

whooop, there it iiis :wise: he will move on and play like everyone else that complains... (but I hate loot these days, it sure sucks more than ever)

you've picked an isolated event and using this one isolated event to demonstrate an entire profession. would u be much happier if u got ur 36% success rate everytime u do a run of 100 click? but every success is always 100 to 150% of tt value of items used on each attempt? or do u prefer 31,381 hof on an enmatamp MA-108(L) which is obviously a 500x multiplier of the tt value on items used? and everytime someone hits one of those 400x+ multiplier on crafting, mining, hunting where do you suppose that came from? if you or anyone else got a better equation for loot that can keep EVERYONE happy i am sure MA/SEE/FPC are more then willing to listen, but if every craft is a return of tt value, every bomb yields an amount of ore that is equivalent to the exact decay value and every mob killed only drops the amount of decay put into it then i am sure this planet will be fairly empty and deserted before MJ can turnover in his grave...

Success per click on Maxed Blueprints should be improved I agree. It is not just the fact that you have low success per blueprint, what is discouraging is the fact that the ingredients per click/total clicks can cost more than the products MU which you craft.
So to SDS, it would be sensible to improve success rates, because I for one can not be bothered spending 10000Ped on crafting materials + Blueprints and end up with with a few hundred items worth 100Ped! The whole point of crafting is that you make enough product to sell at a profit!

Gotta agree with you Gandalf... sometime its just fucking rude.... % success means fuck all... because unless your just super unlucky as fuck... its hard to get 10 no success in a row if your maxed your BP.

I sometimes completely stop spending big PED because although Im playing bigger amounts I rather see tighter fluctuations... smaller losses and no major gains, with the odd spike on each end.... but I find that I get major spikes goign down and then a few small spikes down with maybe 1-2 ok spikes up, then once in a while Ill get 1 good + spike... but those are rare...

Its an odd game.... thats all I can say :D.... I find this game is easily playable if I do not care to advance up the ladder because I can easily offset a good chunk of my expenses with minor trading.... but when I move up the ladder to what I can do properly... the cost to play is huge, and when the returns are low.... small pocket gets emptied fast.... without a good + spike its over fast :D.

But someone else will. I know for sure (i hire crafters to craft for me) that have managed to come out about 60% Successes, on L bp i provide(70-90clicks)

If it was labeled a Casino maybe then we would get some regulation to the % of success. :girl:

No it's not a casino... casinos are regulated
/I prefer the expression 'ripoff' or 'scam'/

if you fail in real life, do you go out in a public place and scream how fucking unfair everything is?

"god didnt give me the jackpot in the lottery!! its so unfair and Im not a happy customer!! thats why Im standing here screaming at random people!!!"

:scratch2: :confused::argue::nutkick::woot::handjob:

Yes, but not always ... sometimes I sue them... or charge into the shop/service center/office and bash some furniture or faces...

Well, at least a lot people leave the churches then... or go to a different company where they think, they are more satisfied... not with a better life, but with a better feeling ("it will all even out sooner or later", or "you get a second life, so it doesn't matter, if you fuck this one up" or something :))

Well... I was sarcastic in my post, but it seems people have that mentality for real...

I usually just get piss drunk and keep it too myself.. but thats how we are here in sweden I guess.. we have it in our blood too stay quiet and keep our feelings locked inside.. or else we will be called out of the ordenarily.. and no one here wanna be better/worse than the other...

No, if it was labeled a casino they would have to change the game or shut down...

Sometimes bad streaks indeed feel very unreal.

Exactly stuff like this is why I keep playing on a low level,
until things feel more tangible again so I understand what happens why.

I don't want "guaranteed profit", this would be stupid,
but at least some more in depth information of what happens with the resources I spend.

Hmmmm guess it is time for a suggestion in the wishlist area :p

rofl :D

sad, but true...

Crafting is a casino

Crafting is not a casino, is worse ...
  • In a casino games rules are public and clear, are available to anyone who wants to ask.
  • The rules do not vary from day to day without the players are notified of changes.
  • Everyone knows the odds in favor and against his bet.
  • The number on the table, the faces of the dice, the cards are known in advance.
Imagine a roulette game in which players do not know how many numbers are in play, do not know that will be awarded in the event of making a successful bid, can not see the plate of the roulette and if you are lucky and win enough to decide to withdraw money the casino does not make the payment immediately and charge interest on money is withdrawn.:eyecrazy:

In a few months I will have 4 years in Entropia Universe, I've always played for fun and not for making money in the process, if it had been my goal I would have preferred to play in a real casino.
