Ancient Greece Shares

PP vu again today, but nothing noteworthy it seems.
At least it doesn't look like other planets have rocketed upwards either, but where do we go from here?

Oh good grief, Charlie Brown!
On closer inspection, the entry cost to lots of Carneval Island stuff has returned to being bronze and silver tickets. While it is possibly the same tt cost (for example, 8 pecs), the mu is now a few hundred percent (AH history) again instead of basically tt. This makes stuff less worth doing - again.

Especially fishing seems to be a prime example of not really worth it before, and absolutely not at higher costs.
I've not checked if the AG fishing has the same entry cost of a bronze ticket again now, but there is no current use for the 2 fish types we can get anyway.
[The new one-time user-designed traveller mission is a bit of fun with the flower pot tps, I guess, and the reward looks nice, but it doesn't do anything for daily playing.]

In the past I've compared NI/AG to a coffee shop and to a swimming baths. What about a bus service that is low frequency and double the cost of taking a taxi? How many passengers and what longevity would you expect? Oh, the deficit is paid for by the council, you say? Well, great!

Also in the vu, the famished shark-like fish have been replaced. So, where are they now?

All in all, I don't see any progress this vu that would boost the overall economies of NI/AG, and a public market share in the lowish 9s means that the devs will continue to not see a single share sold at 10 peds.

I even LIKE lots of stuff about NI/AG as an environment!!! Please, for the love of virtual worlds, deliver something more viable guys ...

AG fishing still use 8* papoo tails, but all you can get while fishing in AG is fish or nothing. And AG fishing has 10 minutes fixed timer.

The direction on AG/NI is mostly just reducing server load. So they don't seem to have any concern for growth rather they assume they can't grow so they cut cost. Not really a great direction for players or MA, but it is the path.

The patch update says the famished fish have returned already, so thanks for that admittedly small fast reaction on AG, but it is a positive one, yes.

I'm now getting graphics CTDs again like in the old days, even on lower loads. It can be AH at a busier place (graphically), the roller coaster, or just flying over terrain somewhere, so I've no idea how long a login would last on other planets these days. The path (caused by MA maybe) isn't even keeping me logged on/in as much, Danny, as I'm not that motivated to log back in if I've at least done a couple of dailies. Sad, but the truth.

Awesome, since the fish have returned this means AG share payouts should be going up now /s

Well yes, lol :p. It makes a difference to my contribution, but I've not considered what miniscule amount it is. Still, given the miniscule amounts that normal AG activities probably bring in anyway ... ... (not talking the molochs or dauds). Talking of which, which are the lowest sharks that are part of the moloch entry mission now? I looked at the inland lake area recently and those sharks had upped their level considerably..

if partners want more cycle on their planet there is a clear path to do that

you need more blueprints that have inputs which are lootable from hunting/mining on your planet. tt/recycle food does not attract players. also let me say, on more things than just furniture. i would go so far as to say, EVERY lootable material in the game should have at least one non-furniture blueprint or mission input. in theory furniture is perfectly valid, however most players do not and never will have an apartment or estate unless or until the housing system is totally overhauled. thus as it is furniture is going to have very low and sporadic demand...the items that are inputs for furniture production only, are basically tt food as a result.

you need more dailies/weeklies that require kill count/cycle, or planet-specific lootables from hunting or mining to complete. good missions, like the arms merchant mission on cyrene.

Funiture is fine. Just release 50000 tents folks can use ad an estate... every avatar gets a free mini estate as part of new game engine with 20 item points each....

I'd rather not have EU turn into San Francisco

NI/AG does have some signs of life on the crafting front, such as lesser ely and crytalline cores, but I only do at most the daily mission amounts. As the ely uses lyst and sweat, it's not maxing or even using its potential for planetary mats either.

Daily kill missions can take up way more time than people play, though - and the reward is often a smallish tt(+mu?) boost. Unfortunately, only one daily I know of sees me sometimes turn over 500 peds or so on AG. I don't bother at all with a couple of others available long term for AG mobs.

If there was a bp for an in-demand (L) item that used more AG mats than I could reasonably gather, I'd be tempted to actually buy the mats on the AH, craft the items and fly occasionally to Caly if that were necessary, or partner up with an interplanetary hopper.
Furniture isn't the answer as things stand, no.
