News: CDF Resource Mayhem

@Charlie|MindArk time to refill mayhem vendor ! DO IT!
There is not really any incentive for Mindark to refill mayhem vendor. While the CDF resource mayhem is an awesome event concept for the whole playerbase it is hard not to be cynical thinking about what the main reason might be for this type of event that significantly increase the mayhem token and rare token that players are rewarded.

If you think about the timing to release this event: No real Unreal Engine update news has been released in a long time and many players are starting to question the status of game development, is it not the perfect opportunity to create an event that gives easier access to rare tokens and mayhem tokens?

With multiple high roller players sitting on rare tokens without any way of using them is that not the best effective way of retaining players by forcing them to wait for the withdrawal of the mayhem item? Probably some of players are waiting to quit the game and do a last withdrawal but are waiting to draw a mayhem item and sell it.

I hate the logic that you can price items based on token cost.

That’s not how the market works. The items you pull and what people are willing to pay for them are what determines the value of the tokens you grinded for.

Throwing out values like above is helpful for working out what a pull would potentially cost you to grind. But that’s about it, after it’s pulled you just have the item.

We need more good guns :) good swords more supply better for everyone willing to play and sink few k dolla in game ;) Mindark its time to refill! and good numbers this time!

so according to the math , this should be the time everyone buys the turn ins and gets tokens cheap, if you miss out then not sure what to say , ppl said tokens cost too much and pulls are expensive , now is your time to get things for cheap then, whats next? weapons are too cheap to pull?

This!

It’s so easy to say things about how cheap tokens etc are. But I only see a few people pushing hard, 15ish maybe.

Hard to know how hard to push for tokens when you don't know what the cost of the next set of weapons will be...

Exactly. So how can we also at the same time be fine with claims that tokens are cheap and pricing pulls based on that.

i believe in the game, ive been pushing 100K tokens plus just so i can have a surplus if they release a good item , i expect a 300k token 7 rare one of 3 kind of item in the future

Yeah no one really knows. The whole format is a rat race. You don't want to get left behind everyone else with the means to buy a shit ton of tokens, but you have no idea when MA will release something that is worth a pull, if ever.

I'm feeling a bit negative on this, but given the last item to come out costs 300k tokens and 4 rares, I think we are looking at new items coming out above that price point... 400k, 500k, even 600k mayhem tokens and a similar increase in the number of rare tokens. Can only speculate at this point...but given how easy it was to net tokens this event, I would not be surprised. MA has to make it harder for those with higher dps(such as mod nanos etc) now to pull from the vendor.

it is also possible MA might do a second option for items one day , say 1 item cost 5 rares 100k tokens or offer another item of same stats but at a price of 2 rares 400k regular

They have raised prices on mayhem vendor items in the past and may do so again in the future to even things out somewhat, we will see.

There have been 5 people pulling Mayhem Resto Chips for 120K Mtokens in the last 48 hours. That should give you a hint about the amounts of Mtokens the playerbase are now sitting on.

ofc those who didnt pulled an item lately are at 300-500k :D and ofc if they invested in turnins

one thing to understand is those who have pulled items now either

1. Pulled rares from the event now and decided to cashout maybe due to the fact that dont think of farming tokens at least the rares again , and figured they acquire a item for cheap that is useful to them

2. They invested peds and sold a pull to make a bit of profit or break even

3.dont intend to be invested longterm , decided to just get what they can now in case Ma takes years to restock and they cant wait that long

Everyone does mayhem for different reasons, some for $$$ . Some for a investment in their avatar etc… the gane has always been a risk but as far as ive seen those who persevere and wait tend to come out good at the end IMO

Interesting read, we hope you all enjoy the event and we appreciate all the feedback so far. All feedback will be very useful when making tweaks and adjustments to this event format for the future if this style of event is something that you would like to see return.
I see some are worried that there are way to many mayhem tokens being gained from this event. A few players have indeed been very generous with their contributions to the CDF efforts but it is nowhere near some of the estimates here.
Here are some event stats.
So far 0 players have gained even close to 100k tokens.
3 players have claimed the rare token for full completion.
The three least completed bonus missions are, "Tier 1 Orders" "Welding Wire" and "Refine Gemstones"
The three most completed bonus missions are, "Extract Resources" "Tier 3 Orders" and "Gemologist"
The total amount of Mayhem Tokens in game has increased by 2% since the event started.

Now as the event is finished we would like to see some statistics.

How many players have complete the Full Mission - all bonuses to get the Rare ! (How many Rare Tokens were handed in?)
How many Players have got +200k M Tokens
How many Players have got +300k M tokens
How many players have got +400k M tokens

That would be interesting to see.

Aswell the TOTAL AMOUNT of Mayhem Tokens in game has increased by what % since the Event Started & Finished?

I know its not gona happend, but would be interesting to see a TOP 10 Mayhem Tokens grinders ->
i.e
TOP Mayhem Tokens
#1 Player 1 -> 530998 M tokens
#2 Player 2 -> 481300 M tokens
#3 Player 3 -> 370600 M tokens
...
...
#10 Player 10 -> 287050 M tokens

Why i'm not there aswell? :)

i can only say tracker is not showing proper numbers anyway!....

lets wait from MA an response... about how many hundered Ks of M tokens were grinded... lol

I would be fascinated to know who had the highest for each hand in, although I feel like some players might not want their stats to be public.

Many people have invested money and time to get tokens and there is no restock. Also, whenever there is a restock it's going to be unfair to some people as they may be asleep, or at work and will miss everything they were interested in. I'd like to see a way to address this so that there isn't a massive advantage to those who seemingly don't work a job and need to sleep, those are generally the players who deposit (and not just depositing what they withdrew to cycle boxes which adds nothing to MA's income).

My guess is that they will have a random re-stock on items like they had back in 2023 (I think it was?).

It's possible MA or rather @Charlie|MindArk may give us some anonymised stats for the event. There seems to be an interest for them and I think in the long term will only help with increasing MA's revenue.

Why i'm not there aswell? :)

I'm guessing those shown don't have themselves hidden on EntropiaLife (EL).

Most likely majority of the top skilled players have themselves hidden on EL. So that list shown would not be very accurate. It does however give a picture of the scale of activity from the few that are not hidden on EL.

Yeah 😔

Then they probably shouldn't have done the turn-ins.

One thing for sure, the economy has shifted and the ways of grinding mayhem has been tainted with boxes and tokens that are worth less. You now just give money directly to Mindark. I will say that I do like the idea of the resource mayhem because it's a temporary increase of all markups, it's just.... unfortunately fleeting.
