Question: Claim sizes nerfed?

Allright I still couldnt be convinced after many discussions, I couldnt find any claims(except one XX) bigger than XII unamped since January in enmatter. I use EA103 in all my runs, so no claim bigger than XV it is. I used to get some XVIIIsi XIXsi XVIs, etc. 6 months ago with 103 amp, so has the game become like a casino as hunting giving ATHs and rest poor returns by nerfing claim sizes?

Really...cant be coincidence after 100s of amps burned.

It's not the claim sizes, it's the overall return.. gosh..

A lot of my soc mates have gone out mining and have gotten shit bollocks for quite a while now.
 
agree... im sure it is nerfed. never got that bad returns in mining since vu10 is pop up. and we all lost your nice places we had to find in pre vu10.

AND... all around damnet lyst and oil i really hate it.:mad:

Well having done about 11000 drops this year total and closing in on 1000 drops since the vehicle update my experience is that the unamped mining loot has not changed very much at all.

But that being said, statistics and probabilities are a damned thing in that they invariably vary a lot :p
 
There are claims higher than III? NOWAI!!!
 
Just did a tiny mining run. Best I had was a IX of caldorite. Other than that only a couple V's and mostly III's and NRF's. Very poopy.
 
Mining loot has been definitely nerfed since V10, that is nothing new.
I agree with you that the biggest change has been done with enmatters, There are less "spots" than for ores and spawns are reduced if we compare.
Regarding claim sizes for enmatts, i think it is following the general loot trend : a lot of shit and someone, more probably a noob, will one day take it all...
This said, i found unamped a XXII oil , a XIX typo , and a XVII melchi (some months ago...). I drop around 300/500 of each every day.
 
I`ve had bad mining returns for a while now and yes after vu10 seems to be just that little bit worse aside from one hof that was gone in a couple days.
 
maybe this is interesink.

Since we have cars, i try to find a new mining stile. I do only 30-50 bombs and probs at one run. (normaly i do 100) I use my car, drive just around places i never was going, and if i feel is a good place, i stop driving and drop a bomb and a probe.

Since i do this, each of my rounds was win!:yay: Also i got 2 globals, since i do so. Im not sure my new stile is very good, or i just have a lucky period.

I've been sycling my PEDs since May when I started to focus on mininig. Who cares about the size? The size only matters if you gamble. The important thing is to get back at least as much as you did spend on that mining run. If your way of mining doesn't work that way you need to change something.
 
I think we're still getting the same amount of loot, but once again, with a way too extreme distribution. :scratch2: Or, if you believe in Ace's testing so far, indeed the returns seem to have been nerfed a bit (Didn't we used to have more or less 90% TT returns on the long term? Or that was just some kind of theory? No, really, I don't really know where I read this first. :( ). Might try what Trance has been doing, who knows. :eek:

EDIT: It's my feeling that there are VU's best for certain professions, in which the other two suffer a bit. Maybe this is a Hunting VU, that's why miners and crafters have been suffering a bit... I don't know, I'm just speculating.
 
in last 2 months I have found IX, X, XI, XII, XIII, XIV, XV and XVIII unamped in enmater.
truth is that return is so badly nerfed Im thinking about leaving again. I really wonder what is left for me in this once-great game.

edit: nah, maybe not leaving, but taking a break would be enough lol

edit2: but while minning with amps Ive learned one thing: forget what you know about natural sizes when you use amps

Actually I think you might be right - although I don't think it's been nerfed as much as you may think...

Personally I've noticed that the average claim size on cnd has gone from X to IX.

And I think the reason for this is not to shaft players but to handle the new size of EU. By knocking the average claim down one notch it means that thousands of new smaller claims can be spawned.
 
bullshit.. i hunt , mine (both en-matter as ore) and also craft a little...

If i notice any change it is that MU going up on everything :yay:
 
Dropped over 6k Bombs amped&unamped last ~three weeks and noticed no change even asked some miner-friends, same case, claim size totally ok.
 
they turned down general return by at least 5 %, minining was about 90 % longterm and now its like 85%

and that 5 % is a lot :mad:
