Reserved for the missing "press release"

Subscriing!! :computer:

You should avoid and do all the copy paste that you do all the time, making errors...
How to enter explains how to enter for the mining competition, does this work exactly the same?

Thanks for pointing out the typo ;) Corrected

smart contest and about time more exist than hunting in entropia :yay:

What i would like to know is whether there are

3x Plantronics GameCom 777 headset
3x Plantronics Audio 355 headset
3x Goliathus Razer Mousepad

3 prizes for each of the three events ( = 9 prizes)?

Or is it 3 prizes for a combined hunting/mining/crafting event, and you just made it three threads to get more attention?

9 prizes total m8, each "edition" has 3 prizes :)

A few reasons i did 3 threads actually, 5k character limit would make all 3 in one thread a little more jumbled so I figured it would be easier to understand for each segment of the event this way. Also since screenshots are required for crafting, and may in some instances be needed for the other segments of the event it helps to keep things a bit more categorized for both participants and for management of the scores. (less room for error imo)

Tax on crafting? or is this just PR?

Nice to see an event for crafter though.

Nope no tax on crafting, just trying to get the economic flow moving a bit and figured it would be nice to offer some prizes to crafters since not many events for that profession :)

Just a friendly reminder to participants: Please ensure that all submitted screen shots adhere to the event rules.

Screen shots must include a date/time stamp (the "U" key, by default) and the confirmation of the global/HOF in the dialogue box, and the coordinates and Land Area name just above the radar circle must be visible.

If your screen shot does not adhere to the event rules, you run the risk of the entry being rejected, in which case it will not be included in your total number of globals/HOFs for this event.

The reasoning behind the event rules is that we need to be convinced each global/HOF is undoubtedly valid (meaning it occurred, occurred within the Digital Abduction Outpost, and occurred no more then twenty-four hours before submission). This level of certainty is absolutely essential in order to create a fair and enjoyable environment for all participants. I know some folks take part in many different events, each with its own criteria for screen shots, and it can be easy to overlook specifics and submit an entry with missing components. We try to accommodate for this and accept screen shots which convince us that the global/HOF is valid (or sometimes go to other sources to verify the validity), even if a screen shot does not adhere to the letter of the law, especially the first time a participant makes such an error.

However, this forces the event staff to use a degree of judgment, in addition to the publicly stated logic, to determine whether each entry is sufficiently convincing. Some participants may become confused if two similar entries must be treated differently as a results of such a judgment. Outsiders looking in may even falsely perceive it as bias on the part of the staff.

The best way to avoid all of this is to double-check screen shots before submission. This will help the event continue to be fair and enjoyable for all participants, and you won't run the risk of having an entry rejected. :)

A note to Narfi: Your entry has been accepted, but please note the above when submitting future screen shots.

Sorry, I wont let it happen again.

2 more points :)

tracker took the screenshot too fast, but you can see the timestamp and hof message still showing in the next screenshot.

Bonus (for me) pointless HOFs

and didn't grab the table discovery right away but still showing in chat,

having fun ;)
