Sorry to hop in on another tool's discussion. This won't be about Entropia Hunter. So read on past if you are only interested in that. Posting here as it's where the helpful people/tool users might be.
I've got a tool of sorts of my own that that analyses chat and does various things in response to stuff e.g. reads PM's. While adding a few bits and bobs to it this weekend, it occurred to me, something that might be useful, would be for it to monitor trade chats, looking out for anyone buying stuff I have. My thought is to maybe do something like, keep a local copy of the data from the entropia website's items page, knock up something to read that in and present a UI to flag different items as, "for sale or not" and then have it try to match "what people ask to buy", to what I have available, letting me know if there any potential matches.
Does something like that sound helpful? Or is this just a daft idea that won't really work in practice (thinking that it might be hard to get matches, with people using non-standardised advertising text)? Any thought's/feedback welcome.
