News: Eomon Migration 2024

Good news, thanks for letting us know and doing the Dev's work.

Last night the big missions (not the dailies) for weapons and blazar were not working. It's like they only delivering half event. lol
ahh, I think i just got the dailies. I still have eomon going from last year and can't find the LT mission so I guess i was mistaken.

Same here, eomon still there (didnt finished it last year) but no way to get a new mission for longtooth, well maybe tomorrow...

Anyone seen the Longtooth old-guardian spawn:
"South of Limnadian District"?

I wandered around a bunch and all I saw was allo/esto...

That's a shared place with Old Fred spawning after xxx kills. Judging by the global channel where I didn't see any Old Fred global/HOF I would say that that spawn is not active yet.

Wait few more days, the other 50% of the event will appear eventually. :laugh:
 
instances ruin markup. As example last year i was at -62k peds in TT on eomon prowler. Having lower markup i would not even try them, there is no point srly.
No, instances do not ruin markup.

What ruins markup is a lack of demand, coupled with oversupply and desire to undercut to get a sale. Resource mayhem is the strongest proof we have that the lack of demand is the main culprit. Oversupply will be here whether instances are here or not. If there is no demand for the loot, then there is no markup.

I am in favor of adding instances for all mobs. I dislike the notion that a content within the game is only meant for one or few players at most. The market will balance itself.

But, isnt that already the case? Isnt that why Alina was bringing it up?

I dont see a way for the game to grow when there is a limited amount of players that can play the content that is available for only a limited time.

I see it as win-win for all to add instances, but seems like there is a group here that wants exclusivity, monopoly, content-for-the-few, etc.

I think there are probably far more people who will afk in an instance when they can be sure they won't interfere with others.

There isn't really any exclusivity, anyone can go to one of the hunting areas and hunt.

There are plenty of examples in the game where one player can completely dominate a creature to the point where no other player can hunt it. My point still stands. The design of the open world hunting is excellent for a single player game but it fails hard in a multiplayer game.

20 years i dont see the fail of open world

The open world is a failure during events when more than a handful of players want to participate.

Thanks for pointing out that people play singleplayer in a multiplayer game. If anything, this is a argument for having instances.

I got no issue with event mobs in instances if the instance is build like the current summer mayhem one

Because that way bots cant abuse it and the whole Event thing becomes fair play again

IMO open world spawns are not an issue, it worked for Years. The issue i think is that the spawns didnt scale with the playerbase. A lot of people now have as much DPS as a whole team had years ago thanks to a selection of high level weapons and the tiering system and buffs. However the migration path and the spawns within seemed to have been very similar in area, density and respawn rate. I have been at a prowler spawn yesterday and sometimes I had to wait for the respawn because there was no free mob to attack. My guess is you could at least double the spawn area so noone has to wait for next mob

Lets get real here. They havent even got the event working for everybody yet. Manual adjustements to the open world so that all can play is pretty far reaching.

How many kill points, or mobs needed to be killed? and whats cold down for this?

Don't want to give exact numbers but i decided to upgrade my gear a bit and recently deposited way more then minimal wage in UK. Think i checked my privilege this time :ROFLMAO:. At least to ask for quest to work.
