EU down? or is it just me?

MA says its just the USA that is having probems. If you CAN NOT connect to EU or the web site tellus

Seems like a routing problem that is changing in nature...

Some intern at AT&T cleared the BGP routing tables? AT&T has been crap the past few weeks.

The good news, I suppose, is that it gives me time to read the threads I should have read weeks ago...
 
is MA working on EU today? anybody know anything ??

have DSL and AT&T ..... not able to get in EU all day today ? what?
i can go to other sites but not EU .

I work in their internet services department. I'll take a look when I get in tomorrow, if it is still an issue. The trace route I ran shows it moving through above.net so I don't really see how I may be of any help but I want to play to so.. lets see tomorrow..
 
again :rolleyes: i am unable to connect. I was ok last night and this morning. I got dissconnected 20 min ago and have been unable to connect to EU or the web site since :mad:

It seems like some button pusher found a switch on the wall and keeps flipping it to see what it does :(

I do not think this is a MA issue but I wish they would comment on it, even if it is just to say they don't know what the problem is, but they have looked over all of their stuff and everything is good.

After all this is affecting a large % of the player base(if it is an issue throughout NA as it seems to be)

I'm getting pissed off also. No connection for 2 days. Come on, Marco, throw us a bone!

down again in atlanta

same as yesterday can't login to game or access entropiauniverse.com. this is really starting to suck, i hope we dont have to go through this eveyday. Jeeez.

Yep, tried it this morning again and still no luck.:( I'm also using AT&T DSL.
 
It's not just AT&T. I have Comcast cable for my ISP and no EU for me either.

Since we have not been able to identify any issues on our side and it seems to be affecting US customers only, we need your help. If you cannot access the website to send support cases, please use support_info@mindark.com. We would also appreciate it if you could add which provider you are using as well as a copy of a trace route. Please choose RUN from the start menu. Type CMD and then type >tracert www.entropiauniverse.com<. Press enter.

Are any of you people using a 2wire modem?

Yeah, I use a 2wire wireless modem! I have AT&T DSL, but I did not try to access the EU website last night. At work I can access the EU website, but we go through Nuvox which connects to AT&T. I spoke with my socmates last night and they were all able to get on without issue, and they are spread across the United States and one in Canada. This is really starting to piss me off!

I was able to log in last night for a bit but today its down again,

im using comcast cable.

My treacert times out after amsterdam, My guess is there is a bad router just after that and before sweden, and the traffic across that router is is very limited. Ive seen issues like this with routers whose ports went bad in a previous job.

Probably cant handle all of the daytime traffic during the business day. Not sure who might own the equipment but most likely the telecom in that area having a router issue and not mindark itself.

Again, the servers are not in Sweden...

And I am unable to reach the servers again. I have comcrap, so it's not just AT&T DSL.

Frank, call the "server park" (hosting facility) and/or Above.net, that's where it appears the problem lies.

Could we please at least get some updates on the progress of this problem? It would be nice to have a quick hourly post on what is going on with this problem. The only ones responding are the customers.

Because MA is losing money with us not getting on and playing they will address the issue more rapidly. As long as were on losing money playing EU, they could care less about our issues.

West Coast here, Charter Communications 3MB Cable, part of Comcast/At&t Network of monopolies. Unable to connect, trace route dies in amsterdam.
 
It figures that we can't get in for two days..now they tell us..the problem is not ours..:banghead:
 
As this is not an MA issue you can not expect that they will be able to correct the issue. At best if we give them enough information (trace routes) that show where the failure is they can put presure on the responsible party to get the problem fixed.

Actually all these problems have been part of european customers life too for the last couple of weeks and it doesn't seem to get any better.
Stuck at authorization, kicked out of 100% servers then can't connect to server...been there, done that, got pissed.

Also having same problems as yesterday morning, having been successful logging in yesterday afternoon and evening! Seattle area atm, Comcast is ISP

Email sent to MA as Frank requested, fingers crossed they can get to the bottom of it!

So far all votes in the poll are in North America...

A previous post jogged my memory, there was a merger of Comcast and AT&T broadband several years ago, and I think all providers mentioned have been Comcast/AT&T...
