Help: Keep getting D/C every 10 minutes with new internet connection

I have recently moved to a new place and ever since I got a new internet service, I keep losing my connection to Entropia every 10 minutes or so.

I have Fibre Internet, on the largest network here. I called them about it and they said it's probably because my connection is switching between 2G and 5G sometimes, so they split those up into 2 distinct networks, but I have tried connecting to each one and the same thing is still happening: every 9-15 minutes, I lose my connection with Entropia even though my internet connection is fine.

I have disabled any anti-virus programs I have and defender, but I doubt this is the issue cause if I create a hotspot on my phone, I can connect to Entropia and stay connected for hours without any problem.

Has anyone had this issue before? Any idea what's going on here?

There is a port that EU uses, and info somewhere, not sure where. It needs to be open for a check that is made. It used to be 6 minutes into the logon, now maybe your 10 mins. I'd look for info on EU and ports.

Port 22, 2222 and 1234 to 1241 are forwarded to other boxes

hello,

i also had those probs with my ISP...it can be bec of several diff things..but in my case...i had to switch the internet connection to 56kb in the eu loader
(yes i am serious) and get the eu folder in a whitelist in my antivirus etc...

edit-> did overread that you stay online on a diff connection...but would try all anyway..

This, likely a DNS issue.
Could try changing your DNS on your router + checking ports, might also be hard coded on the ISP side, in that case you'll need to get them to make some changes or allowances for the ports + setting the 56kb in launcher as has been mentioned a few times here already.

had a similar issue a while ago.

Unfortunately this still happens in 2024, support can only tell you to disable antivirus and firewall, and open ports without any explanation or reason (for me opening ports + setting connection to 56kB helped)

hi

a friend from me had the same issue. The problem was that his new internet connection only use IPv6. After calling to the provider and activating IPv4 the problem was solved.

So call to your Provider and ask him that stuff and you will see that will be maybe your problem too.
