Is this a joke? or is this for real? is it a scam? or is it plain stupidity for the stupid?

I myslef am not sure wot to think of this, but if it works and you claim 5 ped of every perosn then fair play. Do you not think these people know about Entropedia and other usefull guides showing the points of interest, revival terminals and TP's?

Well if this service you are providing kicks off than i will be the first to appologise, but honestly i cant see this working somehow??

1-This kind of service,aims for those peeps who dont know almost nothing about the game map (cities locations, coords of revivals, and where to die to revive at a new town or outpost,etc) and those peeps are normally noobs, who barely can get money for the first weapon, now imagine paying 5peds to get escorted out of somwhere..
Many times in my noob first days,when i got stuck at outposts and couldnt get out of there,kept getting killed and revive at same place, there were always nice ppl offering to escort me to other cities and i could get my ass safe from there.
2-Well, its a fair and honest service,but not very smart?
3-Dont think many ppl will fall in this.
 
Isn't there already a Rescue Team available, and it doesn't cost???
 
There are outposts and LAs that people can easily get stuck at. I generally help them out for free if I see them, but 5 peds seems like a price I would've been willing to pay when I first started.

Don't expect they'll get rich, but I don't think it's unreasonable, either.
 
There is already 'Calypso Rescue Team' available providing free rescue service for ppl stuck at outposts.

I never used them myself - I'm proud to say that I never needed help to get out of the various sticky situations I found myself in as a noob doing TP runs - but I can tell you for certain that these guys are good!
 
5 PED? I mean, are you serious, 5 PED?? As already mentioned there are a ton of helpful ppl out there who will more than extend a hand to help you out of a sticky situation... I speak from experience, both from being stuck to recently helping other(s) out of their sticky situation... It's what the EU environment is about. Besides, as mentioned, the CRT is available at a keystroke if you are really desparate! (and they are out there...) :D

In the end tho, if you help another player out, and they offer you payment, then why not? You did a good job, your reward is deserved; not expected. That's what makes the difference! :D

I just hope that was just a really bad joke being played on us... (walking away down the corridor).. 5PED... pfffft ....
 
Well like i said before good luck to them.
I told them i will be posting a thread on forum, and they know.
If they are willing to carry on doing this scheme then its their choice. It is not classed as a scam, because they are not doing anything wrong, the only thing i believe they were doing wrong is spamming that adver so many times in so little time it took the whole of the chat window up, and tht was in PA. Port atlantis is one of the most busy areas ingame and it is not fair to have 6 line ads every 5 minutes.

well, as much as we honor good will and charity as the rescue team does, or as many ppl do when they see stuck ppl at outposts, which exscort them for free (like i do myself), it is still a service

ofc it isn't too honorable to use the misery of someone to let him pay but it depends on how much thirst you have when you find someone selling water in the desert


so, the "business idea" is, well, not fair, but depends ofc in which trouble you are

i myself hadn't paid it ;)
it was always a nice task for me to get out of the trouble alone, i learned mob agression radius, damage, speed, etc. of the different mobs
 
well if i got stuck i would expect my society to help me out, if not i will eventualy do it myself.
 
IM Guessing this was the player called "Dal" who was offering trips to the ORB for 6 ped last night...... everyone in PA laughed at him

Yeppers.... as stated the CRT does a great job already and it is indeed free.

RIGHT ON!!! I know I have dropped everything to help out a socmate... that is what it is all about IMO. I would do it again, too.
