Hey all, still waiting for some cash to come in (don't worry, I'll save some for EU, I am eager to play again, and as a bonus parting gift from my old account from MA I get a free trip to the newbie zone!) and am going to build a new PC when it does. Looking at the official system requirements, I can not determine where my (possible) system is going to fit. I'll post what I'm planning on doing, but I'm more interested in seeing what parts all of you play on, and what settings you play at. Since I haven't made (m)any final decisions about parts, this should help me (and anyone else interested) to decide if the parts they are getting are going to run at acceptable (i.e. Very High :silly2:) settings.

What I think I'm going to get (the stuff that EU cares about, anyways):
CPU: Intel i5 750
GPU: ATI MSI Hawk 5770
RAM: 4GB DDR3 (1600 or 1333, doesn't really make that much difference.)

If you assembled your PC yourself, please do post what brand of video card you used. If you bought it from a site/store, just post the model. if you're overclocking GPU/CPU, I'd also like to know by how much, as I may partake in that adventure too.

Hi
I got ACER LapTop
AMD Turion TM II X2 M500 (2,2GHz, 1MB L2 Cashe)
ATI Mobility Radeon TM HD 5650 up to 2814 MB Hayper Memory TM
4 GB Memory

I do High and and 3 of settings very high go with no problems maybe I can do more on V High need to test but to lasy lol

Asus M4a79T deluxe MB
AMD Phenom2 x4 965 black 3.41 Ghz
Mushkin DDR3 Ram 4Gb 1600 setting
Asus Radeon EAH4890 top Graphics Card

I play 1900x1200 resolution with all settings maxed and AA maxed too:yay:

Or who's house to break into :D

Asus P6t mother board in a cooler master haf 922 case with I7 920 proc, 12 gig ddr 3 1600 in triple channel config. Ati Saphire 5770, 500 gig wd hard drive. All liquid cooled which allows me to run EU over clocked at 4 ghz no problems with the ati card maxed at 960 gpu clock and 1445 mem clock if I so desire.

All in all the over closking is not necesary to play EU with all settings maxed. I can run EU max settings with the system under clocked to 1.5ghz and the vid card at 600 gpu and 1200 mem and have no lag except maybe in twin with alotta vehicles and people.

It's going to be a few years more before that's really useful, but nice system nonetheless. If that does well though, the one I'm thinking of getting should. Using air cooling here, not liquid cooling, by the way.

The extra ram is for when I record thru the computer so ther eis less chance of latancy issues with multiple instruments. And it makes a HUGE difference in that way.. EU barely turns it on..I dont even use a swap file becuase it actually slows it down.

CPU: Intel Core i7 920
GPU: eVGA nVidia GeForce GTX 260 896MB
RAM: 12GB DDR3 1333MHz

All settings on Very High except Objects Quality on Low (I dont feel like seeing all the grass blocking the stones and fruit). 16x Antialiasing. :silly2:

EDIT: Reason for 12GB of ram was for multiboxing, at most I've run 5 World of Warcraft clients all with max graphics, or 8 EVE Online clients + 1 World of Warcraft, EVE also set to max.

Are you a wizard? Going to go check some of the 260's benchmarks. I really want DX11, but it seems like I can get a lot more for my money without it. I know I'll have to buy again in the future when it is really used if I do that, but it's painful to spend this much on the "wrong" thing.

For a bit more you can get one of the new GTX 460 with directx 11 and better performance.

I checked it out, it isn't that much better (not more than a few frames in most CE2 benchmarks,) and like I said, saving as much as possible (they are between $50 and $100 more than the 5770.) Also, more PCs and system requirements, though I think I already have an idea of how well mine will do.

Processor (CPU) : Intel Core 2 QUAD Q9650 3.00Ghz
Graphics Card : Geforce nVidia GTX 285 1gig
Hard Disk Drive : 1x 500Gig HDD PLUS 1x 1 Terrabyte HDD
RAM (memory) : 8 Gigabytes 800Mhz DDR2

Was cheap and runs all settings maxed inc. AA (which by the way I have no idea what AA does but I run it on the highest setting)

Gigabyte EP45 UDL3
Antec Truepower 750W
Quad Core 9550 2.83ghz (OC to 3.4ghz)
OCZ 6 heat pipe cooler with 120mm fan
4 Gb DD2 800 Mhz Strapped 1:1 with the 400 Mhz FSB
BFG GTX275 OC 896mb Ram
74 gb 10K Rpm Raptor HDD (games installed here)
500 gb Sata Drive for Backups
1 Tb WD Caviar Black Partitioned for C: and Storage
Samsung 1680x1050 Monitor
Window$ 7 64bit

EU runs pretty decent, very high settings usually with no AA in the 30-60 fps range depending upon where I am and what's around me. My system is gfx card constrained, I never see the processor core max that is running EU. I'm still annoyed that only one core serves the game though... Temps for the oc'd chip run in the 45-55c range in the summer, gfx however pushes up to ~85c after a while in game.

I just got a new system.

Lian-Li PC-V351 (Micro ATX)
Asus P5Q-EM
(my old) Core 2 Quad Q9450 (2.66GHz)
6GB DDR2 800MHz memory (dual channel)
Club3D ATi HD5870 1GB
WD Raptor 10k RPM HDD

EU settings:
Completely maxed out :) runs fluently, sometimes loading avatars can take a bit long tho with all the AA and stuff.

When I stream to livestream I put settings on High, since 35FPS is allocated for livestream I need a small buffer so I don't start to lag while streaming :)

1920x1080 on Very High with 16xAA.

Intel i7 930 Watercooled OC @ 3.8Ghz
Nvidia GTX 480 Watercooled
6GB 1600Mhz DDR3 RAM
Intel X-25M SSD

Usually have Vsync on, most of the time it's maxed at 60fps, sometimes drops to ~50fps. I know the GTX 480 had some bad reviews because it runs hot, but with watercooling it's excellent, playing EU it averages around 40C.

This is what I have:
Dell Studio XPS 8000
Intell core i7 cpu 860@2.80GHz/2.79GHz
NVIDIA 240 GTS 1 gb memory
8 gb memory.
Work great in game!!!!

AMD Phenom 9750 Quad Core 2.4GHz
ATI Radeon HD 4350 PCIe 2.0 1GB
8GB Corsair XMS2 DDR2 Memory

Settings are set to Medium High

This is a system I built recently. I could get more performance with a better graphics card and probably be running on high to very high but it works fine for my use for now. I also added the extra memory for audio production.

When I heard they where changing to CRY2, I went out and found the best.. (at the time and fit my buget lol)

CPU - (i7 940 2.98ghz)
Vid - (Palet ATI 4870 X2 2gig)
MB - (Gigabyte EX58-UD5) (Love this board) :yay:
Ram - (Corsair XMS3 1333MHz DDR3 6 gigs) (tripple channel)
HD1 - (WD Velociraptor 150 gig)
HD2 - (WD Raptor 150 gig)
Case - (Lian Li case from 1997... its old but works very well LOL)
PS - (Enermax Galaxy 1000W)

Total cost... 3000.00 Canadian... or 30k peds

I had the i7 940 chip a month and a half before it came out on the market in Canada. Same with Mother Board.. Wow how time flies :D
