I got scammed, and so I am going to drop some names so the word gets out to more people and this doesn't happen to others.
I don't have a great screenie showing the scam. Just the one below of me being laughed at by one of the scammers. (God it is embarassing posting this)

So, here is the story.
Moarta Curva1 Curva says she is selling various skills. I asked her about them and she indicated that it was her other avatar, Angelina PenalaRO Jolie that was selling them.
She relogged and said she was a miner and was broke, hence she was selling skills to get ped to continue mining. She didn't have an implant, so I would need to supply one.
A long story short...we worked out a deal, I felt comfortable enough to take the risk of giving an implant to her, and viola...she logged off without filling the chip and selling me the skills.
I don't want to hear about how I shouldn't have done this. I obviously know that now.
I simply want to get the word out so it doesn't happen to more people.
Angelina PenalaRO Jolie is the leader of the Black Dragons society. I don't know if all other 16 members know that their leader is a scammer, but I think they should. I wouldn't be surprised if they did not know (or maybe they are all made up avatars...who knows?).
Shortly after this happened I heard from a couple of other people that knew of these scammers. I'm not going to list those people as it is the victim's choice to come forward in a public forum like this or not (and let me tell you the urge is great to delete this post and not face the shame of naming myself as one who fell for such a stupid scam).
I filed a support case with MA. If anyone is interested, I will post the outcome of that when I get a response. Honestly, I am not that optimistic that anything will come of it.
I could care less about the PED (partially true). For me, it isn't putting me in the poor house. But, I would like to see scammers like this banned from the game. If this would have happened to a new player, they would never play the game again, and that is not good for any of us as we need new blood in the game.
I am not sure if it was one person or multiple people simply timing their log ins and offs on the phone or in the same room. It may have been two as both avatars where online after they finished the scam (I have one of them on FL and the other was in front of me).
If anyone knows more about either of these avatars or the Black Dragons society, I'd like to hear it and it may be beneficial to others.
MB, if you don't think there is enough evidence, etc., for this post to stay on the forum, delete as you see fit.
