I feel forced to create a log so that I finally can keep better tracks of my findings. My main reason for this log will be to compare how much lysterium I find with diffrent finders and amps. I am not happy atm with returns of " good ores " compared to low markup ones.
I will publish how many bombs I spent and what finder / amp used.
A % of lysterium found will be calculated.

Run 1

VRX3k+102 amp 150 bombs = ~310 ped TT spent ( 330 incl. markup)

31 claims total = 20,66% hitrate

TT value back 134,1 PED = 43,25 %
MU value back 213,2 PED = 64,61 %

1 lystclaim 2,4 PED =1,79% LYST

-116,8 PED

Notables : 1 small Redulite, 2 modest kanerium. 2 mediumclaims as biggest.


Just 1 lystclaim this run makes it a good start in that sense but overall its disaster. 102 amp in this area usually gives more than 1 reduliteclaims.
2 mediums as biggest is kinda sad.

Run 2

VRX3k+101 amp 150 bombs = ~235 ped TT spent ( 240 incl. markup)

32 claims total = 21,33% hitrate

TT value back 103,92 PED = 44,22 %
MU value back 130,9 PED = 54,54 %

2 lystclaim 3,76 PED =3,62% LYST

-109,1 PED
TOTAL-225,9 PED

Notables : Treasure Island and nothing special at all. Only 2 lystclaims wich is the best result I had there considerin lyst for many runs. But 44% return again ?

Run 3

OF211+103 amp 168 bombs = ~510 ped TT spent ( 561 incl. markup)

34 claims total = 20,23% hitrate

TT value back 361,48 PED = 70,87%
MU value back 419,4 PED = 74,76 %

6 lystclaim 131,79 PED =36,46 % LYST

-141,6 PED
TOTAL-367,5 PED

Notables : A run made with OF211 on Eudoria in areas with narc and belk. But this time lyst really took over and the only global so far in this log is 94 ped lyst. Also made too many finds of another lystlike entry in oreheaven, Erionite. Theese 2 make up for 50% of the finds and kills markup and any chance on profit. Offcourse OF211 aint that " uber " but I still think this much crapores are way to unbalanced.

Run 4

VRX 3000+103 amp 168 bombs = ~510 ped TT spent ( 561 incl. markup)

46 claims total = 27,38% hitrate

TT value back 464,13 PED = 91,00 %
MU value back 553,6 PED = 98,68 %

0 lystclaim =0 % LYST

-7,4 PED
TOTAL -374,9 PED

Finally a run that cant be called total disaster ;). Amethera run with no lyst present but some lanorium and low valued gold took down markup so I didnt go into profit after all. 1 substantial gold and 2 Zandclaims wich is ok. Long stretches with NRF and then suddenly 3-4 straight claims. RELICS member JAS took down a nice ATH from CND during run so nomatter what all is GREAT !!! GRATS JAS !! YOU ROCK :)

Run 5


VRX3000 unamped 150 bombs = 150TT spent ( 150 incl. markup)

34 claims total = 22,67 % hitrate

TT value back 450,95 PED = 300,63 %
MU value back 643,6 PED = 429 %

4 lystclaim 12,39 PED =2,75 % LYST

+ 493,6 PED
TOTAL+ 118,7 PED

So...inspired by recent success that some avatars had going unamped I decided to try 150 bombs in Shinook/ Emerald area. And boy what a run it was. Nice sizes with 1 global and 1 hof ( 160 Gazz, 184 Belk ) and few amples as well. 6 claims of rarer stuff also but no Rugaritz.
And when it rains it pours so I managed to only get 2,75% lyst this run :).
Next run will also be unamped with vrx3k on Eudoria for rare stuff.

VRX3000 unamped 200 bombs = 200TT spent ( 200 incl. markup)

55 claims total = 27,50 % hitrate

TT value back 174,50 PED = 87.25 %
MU value back 246,06 PED = 123,03 %

16 lystclaim 35,21 PED =20,18 % LYST

+ 46,06 PED
TOTAL+ 164,76 PED

Run aimed to find rare minerals unamped with vrx3k and also trying to avoid lyst. Its like trying to balance on a soaped log though as lyst is present like small islands on Eudoria now as well as " hidden" amongst good stuff. Managed to find both Rugaritz and langotz and also some Platinum but Plat has been degraded to belk / gazz level nowadays .
Rugaclaim saved the run into small profit though :)

Run 7


VRX3000 unamped 200 bombs = 200TT spent ( 200 incl. markup)

52 claims total = 26 % hitrate

TT value back 263,3 PED = 131,5 %
MU value back 318,8 PED = 159,4 %

6 lystclaim 12,3 PED =4,67 % LYST

+ 118,8 PED
TOTAL+ 283,56 PED

Split up run over 2 days due to a small trip. But it ended as it started with good hitrate and resonable sizes. managed to stay away from lystinfected areas. 1 small global but also 2 sizables and a few amples so it made the run profitable in TT. Nothing rare this time but pretty much Gazz and Iolite that saved MU value.
Next run will be medium amp with OF105. I fear ALOT of lyst now cuz im probably due for a bad run. So prepare for bad return and low MU ;)

OF105+104 amp 100 bombs= 408 PED spent TT ( 460 with MU )

30 claims total = 30% hitrate

TT value back 603,88 PED = 148 %
MU value back 716,26 PED = 155,71 %

12 lystclaim 198,43 PED = 32,86% LYST

+ 256,26 PED
TOTAL+ 539,76 PED

Seems im currently in a good cycle cuz this run went real well again. Expected alot of lyst and I sure got my share. But sizes where good and managed to get 3 globals on those 100 bombs. Nice amount off Gazz saved the markup :)

Pretty booring run on Eudoria mostly looking for rares but nothing showed up. 2 globals + the fact that I " only" had 10,2 % lyst saved the run from a big loss. Next run will be using a bigger amp again to test if I can use my good period for volume instead of high markup.

VRX3000+105 amp 117 bombs= 600 PED spent TT ( 720 with MU )

29 claims total = 24,79 % hitrate

TT value back 1047,13 PED = 174,52 %
MU value back 1190,89 PED = 165,40 %

1 lystclaim 6.44PED = 0.6% LYST

+ 470,89PED
TOTAL+ 1010,65 PED

Was right decision to bring a big amp atm. Decent hitrate and very nice sizes. Managed to box a huge Lanorium and 2 globals ( gazz, narc ).
Only 1 lystclaim and I got that when changing to OF105 for just a few bombs when i got scared my area already had been carpeted with a VRX finder. Took a jump with medium TP chip and within 3 bombs got the Huge. No more unamped until this nice period is over ;)

This blog is not about getting towers though ;)
Its about comparing diffrent finders/ amps to get a picture of how to best avoid LYSTERIUM !!! This crap ore will kill my spirit if I cant find a way to stay away from it. Can I with lvl 61,5 prospecting find less lyst than a lvl10 prospector ? Lets find out :)
