FYI: Taming: the waiting...

Well one one hand I agree, would be great to have back the old taming even but...if MA does just bring it back, it would be a colossal failure as well, as it would show such a degree of utter incompetence that even those f used to i will be surprised. Bring back taming as it was, give very meaningful compensation in items, skills and PED according to taming levels, write a formal bloody apology and try to slowly develop taming...that I think I could live with.

Uh... compensation linked to level...? What about those of us who wanted to develop the skill, but have had to wait for over three years before they could even get started with it...?

You are kidding right :) How much did you spend on taming while you waited? No shit i never read anything so ridiculous. 2006 you joined the forum so I'm guessing you were playing the game before me so you had a lot of time to tame skill and didn't bother.

It was one of the many things that didnt transfer succesfully from VU 9.4 to VU 10.0 three years ago.

We weren't able to teleport, sweat, mentor, pilots werent able to fly passengers, make-up didn't work nor did apartments - the list was pretty long.

I think this is the last remaining feature, and understandably, patience is getting pretty thin with no update.

and that it was just a rumour :(...

Taming Is in the pipeline for 2012 (26 days left).
 
I never seen taming (wasnt playing that days) So im waiting for it too!:yay::yay:
 
After seeing this new Virtual Tycoon (EU) App perhaps Taming is coming back as a tamagotchi for andorid or Iphone.

Man i hope they don't read this.

Quick, delete the tamagochi idea Butch, you know damn well MA gets all its ideas from reading the forums:)
 
I have an idea im just dying to share , but Im not doing that anymore . Last time i did that someone made the hub without so much as a thanks.

I think you underestimate the depth of their stupidity and the height of incompetence they can and always do rise to:)
 
2013 is coming up fast I see, looks like MA have suckered all us tamers again with their falls promises and lies about it's reintroduction this year.

Shame on you MindArk, it's been 4 years now since cryengine and nothing but empty promises..Again...and...Again...and...Again!!!!

Precisely the reason I never believed it would come this year, nor do I have much faith that it will come in 2013 either. I hope that I am proven wrong, but I just have lost faith in MA. The only thing MA has proven is that they are full of lies, and a total lack or regard for the people that have deposited into their world. I sank some money into taming (not near as much as some others here but I still sank some) and I am PISSED to have all that time and money just thrown away, I couldnt imagine how the higher level tamers feel over this. It truely is pathetic how MA has handled the theft of money from tamers and have proven that they nothing more than fucking arrogant bastard con-artists.
 
All true, been said before, and yet no reaction from MA or any expected, I am still wondering if there is a legal case in this somewhere...

They are not incompetent,
To lie and steal people they are real professionals...
That's btw the thing they are doing best.

I remember when i started to play, MA was warning people :

I had wery modest wish - to have tamed gibnib lvl 6 and wild umbra female young.
Dreams burned our heads in forum discusions.
Remember Marco mentioned possibility to ride and fly..
Maybe that dream flyed too high up in the sky.
Hmm what icarus did after fly? started to craft or something?
Bah i still wish my two pets, please MA at least last one if not both.
 
Me I have never really experienced taming. When I started just before Cryengine change all I ever saw was some tamed mobs at swamp camp beeing used as ad signs.
Now...
I have recently hunted some Mourners along with Combibos and OH MY GOD I want a Mourner I can ride around on!!! :yay:


I really hope taming is back in the game soon.
 
I put several cases of wine in my cellar back in 2009, I openend up a bottle yesterday and it had become a drink that would please the ancient gods. Certainly took away that sour feeling I have left in my mouth everytme I think about the waiting for taming:eyecrazy:

Pet rocks are a solution to the problem. I have 1 piece of Lysterium in the storage, its name is Lyzzie and she lives in a Julklapp. Lyzzie doesn't consume nutriobars and the risk of her to flee into the wild is negligible.
