What estates do NOT have maintanence fees?

My house does NOT charge a monthly fee - my house is in Minopolis and is one of the small houses which you can currently see very readily from the TP there.

That verifies that in Minopolis, at least some (all?) houses don't have monthly fees... or at least did not before Vu 10

Before Vu 10 other estates that I'm aware of that did not have monthly maintanece fees were: booths & hangers. Strangely, before VU 10, poles in front of the banks and malls did have monthly fees, but the fee was pretty pointless since the pole was mainly used as a sign post or place to put shopkeepers... and I think (cannot confirm) that shopkeepers there worked regardless of whether the fee was paid or not...

It'll be interesting to see if any of this changes after apartments are live again. I honestly think it'd be smart for MA to get rid of monthly maintanence fees across the board so that more small shops can manage to break even since some don't make enough to break even on the maintanence fee. Lowering or getting rid of maint. fees would help the economy I think? What's your thoughts on this? Also, do you know of other estates that are maintanence fee free?

personally i think that the estates that are behind in there maint fee should have there Deeds revolked and the deed put back in auction

there are to many empty apartments and shops that could be used by people that wish them

i have no problem with investors buying 20 apartments but they should have to pay the maint fee on them

it would be interesting to see them drop in loot but the maint fee still needs to be paid

as i said cost of doing buisness you want a home you have to do the maint to keep it up

I think it would be better if the first apartment/shop an avatar owns has free maintenance, and any subsequent ones have fees on them. This would make it fair on those who would like to own just one. And if investors don't pay up their fees, the property is revoked and put on auction as mantioned earlier. Maybe, also, as you own more and more, the fees get higher and higher so that there are enough to go around?

That would be a nice wish, if entropia Universe were some kind of Utopia but unfortunately no, its all about business and this kind of situation is ideal for investors ppl can buy tons of apartments (since prices have fallen so much) and they dont have to pay a single cent on maintenance so its the perfect time to buy buy buy get all the apts u can. And then w8 to see, prolly MA will make another patch to give apartments another usage value (wich will ofc make prices go up up up) because they want money and having unused land on their virtual reality universe is not very profitable, because MA and their business partners pay for servers maintenace. I mean EU is not a magical kingdom that exists from nothing lol there are servers running 24/7 to keep this Universe working so I can expect an update that will raise apts value later on. I know land management is not what a lot of ppl would like but hey, EU is based on a Capitalist focused economy and that means STRONGEST RULEZ, RICH PPL GET RICHER, ETC. I personaly dont have problems with this I was raised to live in a Capitalist country (Costa Rica) and I have managed to live acording to its Capitalist system but what I mean is EU (as Capitalist based economy online game) wont look for whats best for most players (that would be socialism) they will look for whats best for THEM and what can bring them more investors and thats how it works, just like in RL. In RL imagine MA is the Government and players are the citysens MA/Government usualy dont make whats best for players/citysens NO they make whats best for busines, they care about Large International Companies/Investors needs, I know this may sound harsh and a bit cruel but hey its how it works and I know what I mean because im an Economist in RL. Anyway EU is a nice game, play it to have fun not only to profit, after all not everyone can profit... or would be the end of the game XD

all rent fees are gone atm , MA got a few problems with those and its removed atm ...

but it will return soon in a comming VU , and now stop panic

its the normal stuff , MA messed it up and needs now time to fix .

but damn stop to worry and post about anything , let em work for now on the missing systems ...

OP dates to just after VU10, so this is kind of a necro thread now, especially considering there are no longer maintenance fees on any estate.
