Poll is over and here are the final results.

n = 476
rate and 95% confidence interval

Percentage of yes = 42% ranging from 38% to 47%
Percentage of no = 58% ranging from 53% to 62%

Contrasted tu VU10 there was a significant drop of 29% in happiness.


Main reasons for unhappiness (from replies):

  • technical issues with VU10
  • lack of content
  • loot distribution
  • weak RCE
  • cost to play
  • Hope that CE2 would mean a major shift in game dynamics, turns out CE2 was just about candy

I personally voted yes. Ok besides new graphic, we still have the same game mechanics, so no innovation there. But times are very exciting. I see a lot of discussion over here, some good suggestions and maybe this is the start of a real RCE.
 
well to me it seems u need to be a happy participant because otherwise u would be stupid to play a game which u don't like and mine advice to that kind of people is :

stop wasting your time in eu and on ef ( <-- whit whining threads )

Why? nothing has changed but the graphics engine. Certainly nothing that would support an improved RCE.

well, if they would ENABLE ESI'S, maybe a lot less of us would be here. I personally haven't deposited anything all summer. I just log in once in a while, tt some crap from storage, and shoot until I run out of bullets. By the time ESI's start working, I should have gone through all of the junk and be ready for the sales thread.
 
Voted yes, I am happy :)

Lots of bugs now as expected, but overall the graphics look nice and the game is the same.
 
im happy i have a lot of great friends here but it would make me that little happier if MA gave me some loot more often :scratch2:

Its been over a month since it was anounced, and over 3 weeks since it was implemented and .. well the hunters, hunt and the crafters, craft and the miners, mine and the colourers, colour and the reselers well they just keep on doing what they do and me as a beuty profesional I try a little hunting and mining and crafting and colouring and buying and i've run around getting tp's, 69 so far, and i wait for the thousands of people that are going to flock to my appartement for my services after MA gave them a free unlimited remake and after MA finaly gets v10.1 up and running so i can get my apartement back and i wait and i wait and i wait and no i'm not a happy EU participant, but i am patient.

Voted 'No' but only because I'm lazy and I want TP chips back in game so I don't have to run all the flipping time. I've played twice in the last week and only for a couple of hours each time instead of the 8-10 hours a day I normally play. I have to say I'm not missing it one bit at the moment though.

I voted yes because i realized my only reasons for voting no were the reasons you mentioned...
 
been here 2 years and this is the happiest I've ever been.

Love the new look, and have had the best loot in my hunting life. Haven't had to depo once since vu10 started.

I have also been one of the lucky ones that hasn't expirienced any bugs since the first week

but it was a tight, id rather voted something like "soso"
there are quite some annoying, sad and also disappointing things
ofc there are always and for everything, but its worse this time imo

so the decision is tight there

Well, that's what I've basically stated. I remember the times, back in 2004, when Kjetil, Tigerman and others were discussing about how PE/EU works and how to improve RCE.

We've discussed about sustained markup, peds-cycling, limited items (there haven't been at that time) and taxation.

Well L items came, taxation as well but the rest was still asking for graphics. Give us vehicles, give as rockets, give us this and that. So now they've got it, and maybe now has come the time to implement the real features.
 
I voted yes because for the most part I am a happy participant. However, there IS a LOT of room to make me happier.

that was the intention. It's a difference been urged to decide. A yes/no would be to easy.

You would be surprised how many people stick around to try to convince the rest of us what terrible times we should be having. And how many fall for it.

I've been a happy EU participant for almost six years :D
 
I voted no but mainly because i miss the comraderie we shared during team events every week in NBK. whether it was hunting with my old socmates or teaching our noobs how to hunt, swunt, sweat, etc...... i miss the interaction. :(
Wish they would bring that back really really soon....
 
I'm pretty much happy. I do suffer from a severe case of there's-nothing-to-do-in-this-game!!! occasionally.

I can sum it up in one word:

meh.

Nice to look at, spend some time exploring and seeing what new things look like. Appreciate the work thats gone into the update, looking forward to the 'complete' Calypso at VU10.2, and of course seeing the new planets too.

However, these days I don't really talk to people ingame and my FL is practically dead. Also with my usual loot trend/luck Í just feel disheartened, with no real motivation to bother with this SGA event.

Not happy. Not unhappy. Just... meh.
 
Aye I am having fun, but I love gambling also, and in my opinion I get more fun and can stretch 20 bucks longer here than at a casino.
 
This poll is amusing to me. It's funny that more than half the people playing this game aren't happy with it. Is that common for a MMO?

I think we all see the potential here and we want it to live up to that. I think the folks at MA/FPC want to see it too. Not sure what takes so long on their end to get these things developed, but I'm glad that they at least feel they are no where near from finished with their vision of what this universe can be...

That's probably the reason most of us stick around. We want to see where it all goes and what will become... hopefully it pays off for all of us...
