I am thinking of investing some money in Entropia but want to know the profits/loss of Entropia for past 3 years. Help please.

Really depends on what type of investing? Buying land areas? - Profits

Hunting - Losses ped + fun XD

You realize this would be like investing in movie tickets, yes?

It's an entertainment venue.

And "investing some money" is a bit vague. Are you investing a small amount, (a few K$) or a real investment (10k$ and above).
Many I have spoken to se a deposit of 3K $ as an investment but it realy isn't a lot of money in a game like this.

If you are investing to buy land then there is a possibillity to earn some profit but only if you are active and have some good dna.

If you are investing to buy some sharp armour and a big gun, you will loose ped fast unless you are lucky as hell and hit a big ATH quickly.

noone seemed to notice the OP has been a member of EF since 2007 so must have some knowledge of what the game is about and how it works :laugh:

U should ask some players who already invested in EU. Only them will give u a correct picture of this business.

Yes, we had dura killer in our Soc briefly...now the terminal is closed due to people like him applying.

You can read about his exploits here.

Killer's disciple Drayven was actually a gamemod in World of w...hatever. We spoke to him in Teamspeak a few times, and he told stories of having to ban 5,000 accounts per week due to farming and various other offences.

He left the game in disgust after he was unable to be released from the mentorship :(

that's sad ... MA lost a true gamer . :(

Yeah, he was a good guy. He was a Dutch man working in France at the time, moving to Ireland at the end of that year. Some of the stories he told about frauds and scams would make MA support's hair curl....and glad they only have to deal with a small playerbase. :D

A massive enterprise. That game was divided into 3 regions, Europe, Asia, Americas, with 192 servers for each region..and they were upgrading :yay:

He wanted to spend some money chipping up, but couldn't due to being a disciple.

Unfortunately, he accepted a random request from this Mentor:mad:

MA's (or any company's) profit/loss numbers do not always reflect the true state of the company.
- the profits started do decline a few years back;
- there were some big investments that contributed to the above (Cry-engine);
- not all of their "ideas" made sense;
- as they stop boasting about the number of accounts, I assume they went down a bit;
- the "established" player-base however, is spending more (which doesn't necessarily mean they're loosing more);
- ROI is a process... it doesn't happen over night; we are right in the middle of it right now.

Please note that the above are my take on things.

depends on your investment strategy and plan as to whether or not you'll be a profit or loss. If you invest in skilling up on the main 3 professions, expect losses usually. If you plan on investing in trading, expect losses unless you know 100% sure you can make profits. The ONLY way to do that is to pay TT pice and sell for more then that. Good luck in that venture - sales will likely be slow unless you have some rich friends that love you lots. ;)

Should you invest in EU. The worst investment advice is free advice, in a place like this, there really aren't many people qualified to spend $ on advice from them.

Your best bet? Do your own research in and out of the game, and make a decision for yourself
