WoF 2011 is open for Teams to form for next year's tournament.
Please find your team on the WoF 2011 sub-forum or PM me to approve any new ones.

The razzle-dazzle of promotion is not yet fully underway, and there is much to come. Watch this space before Xmas.

The basics:

It's free to enter.

It's open to all.

Choose your team, the big guns get to be Main Team, the rest become Support.

Main and Support hunt together against the teams of other nations.

You global for points on different Moblists.

You advance through group stages after qualifying.

There are many bonuses to be got and records to be broken along the way.

The winners get kick-ass jackets:)

See you soon with the rest, look forward to showing you all what we got for
WoF 2011

*polishes dust off the starkhov*

That time of year again? :D

A few quick questions:

- When should the (main) team list be ready?

- Is the schedule mentioned here (most importently, first match 15-16/1) decided upon

- when will mob list for first round be published? (I don't need mob list right now, but it would be great to know when to start to look for it)

- Is there any major changes in the rules considered that we should in advance? Besides what we already know (possible pk bounty hunt and hunts involving space travel optional) and round-specific (moblists)? Even if rules would mainly be same as last year it would be good to have the updated rules all in one place. Also if rules are preliminary as it is now (long before it begins) it would be nice to have something to start to build around, so things like main team size will be correct when it's time to submit it.

Not finished doing the Rules justice yet, but here's some answers from them;

Schedule likely to change completely.

First match (Qualifiers) hoping to start in Late February, Early March at the latest.

Teams to be organised (Captains, Main Team picked) by Early February.

MobLists to be announced no more than 14 and no less than 7 days from each Stage beginning.

NO Pk bounty hunt; idea withdrawn.

Semi's will offer OPTIONAL travelling (for same points on differing mobs).

Otherwise, pretty much the same as last year;

Structure of the Stages:

Stage 1: Qualifier A: Surf n' Turf (Mobs, Planet-Based) Main Team 4

Stage 2: Qualifier B: Tin Can Alley (Bots, Planet-Based) Main Team 4

Stage 3: The Killing Fields (Part-Sponsored Group Stage, 3 matches) Main Team 4

Stage 4: Totally TI: (Treasure Island Group Stage, 3 matches) Main Team 4

Stage 5: Semi's: (Optional moblists incorporating Calypso, Rocktropia, Next Island, Foma FORTUNA and Crystal Palace) Main Team 5

Stage 6: 3-Way Final. Main Team 6

(All unlimited Support as before)

Thanks for the info!

Just curious: do this mean, as last year, that "no limit" applies to support team size, but there will generally be a "cap" on total score made by support (not counting special cases like bonus mob and finals) as it was last year?

Hurrikane? why change dates?
Its not your normal way
I always say... What Hurrikane once said is the rule!
(btw - if you need extra judges I may try this time)

I got another question:

Will the entire WoF season be delayed, so the finals might roll over into July, or will the schedule be more squeezed one way or the other (ie less matches or less time between matches) to be able to end WoF before people are taking off to IRL vacations?
