I think the idea behind this complex event is awesome...
The fact that it ties in with IRL - Present Day, not so much :(

I dunno about you all but I come to this universe to get away from RL:

Ingame, I am Sarge, a colonist of Calypso in the distant future trying to make my place in the world. An event making reference to Terran Events circa 2007A.D. makes no sense whatsoever unless they accidently got wormholed to Calypso and warped through time in the process.

EU has a great and complex storyline, keep going with it MA. As far as the people of calypso are concerned, we are not just "avatars" that have real people behind them. (as the event participants keep pointing out in reference to RL people)

Maybe some of you feel the same way?
 
think about it this "EVENT" is a Big NOTHING.
Honestly I wonder if MA is behind the Whole damn Thing.
 
I really dont consider this an 'EVENT', I cant even hunt normally and I am FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR from this 'EVENT' :mad:
 
people complained that they want an event that new players can do. they gave you this!

I think this event is cool :p its like a murder mystery or somthing..
By the looks of decoding the chat log its gonna take a piece of every language on earth :O! it's not only an event ingame but you have to visit different websites do some research on stuff! :O
Now if that isnt something good to work on i dunno what is!
 
I really hoped that there would be a conclustion to this and those people lucky enough to loot notes (or those that bought them) would be able to redeem them at a terminal or MA avatar.

So I would say:

"Good event MA, loved the Kerby onslaught, enjoyed the note hunting....


NOW FINISH IT PLEASE"

They have to be, there is no way the Notes and corresponding mob spawns could have happened without 100% support from MA. Not to mention the presence of MA officials...

We don't actually know that the chat log has anything at all to do with the event. Everyone already knew where everyone was going to show up for the supposed event. Any clever society could show up with some of their own esoteric pronouncements and derail the whole thing into anything they wanted it to be.
 
I'd be more enthusiastic about it if it weren't for the fact that MA has so far abandoned all its attempts at a story/quest so quickly.

Hire a writer for this stuff and then follow your/his/her ideas through for once, MA :wise:

We shall see. The conspiracy thing doesn't look that interesting so far, but I still have hope that it might lead to something ;)
 
Awww come on. Its fun. Where's your sense of adventure. At least solving puzzles is more interesting than blast loot blast loot repeat until bored. :laugh:

It could have been fun, but thx to MA:s servers this was an parody of a MMO event! MA, before you do events, be sure that the game and everything around it can handle it!!!

I hope this abomination of event has light a little fire to youre arse, and that you do understand that you have alot of work to do with this game!!!!

How about a storyline with things already in the game? Like the temple? or the abandoned cities? Just a thought MA work with what ya got first..
 
as i said elsewhere there have Been hoaxes used to promote and sell stuff to the Public. and people were Very pissed off when stuff went public about the hoaxes. this has all the marking to me of a Hoax.

As to the Website that has been mentioned THat can Easily be forged. Times and dates aswell. For all we know atm MA couldve setup that Website in anticipation for this. Knowing full well what it would do and bringing in the Notes to EU would do for its Population. 1 thing is for certain that raised a Shit storm on this 1 Bigger than any VU has ever caused.

The mobs or their loot were not the important things to happen today, it was the interaction with these characters, and chat/trade worked fine ;)
