LOL Oh my God... I didn't even realize that the original picture title could be interpreted as "I faked this picture just to see who'd fall for it". RidingDirty - I'm sorry for the confusion. I had no clue why you were giving people a hard time for responding to the post.

You guys forget the Casino hit India on their promo tour.

Perfectly makes sense to show people they can feed a whole family a month with a starter mob, no?

How else can you attract people to a casino unless you promise them food and shelter with low stakes?

edit: Of course this is meant sarcastic, nothing of this is really true and just made up by me. Of course.

looking past my obvius jealousy i actually kinda like the fact that once in a week with 2 thursdays where they moon is in the right house a noob can kill a small bugger and score the big one just dont hope its what to expect from now on
 
well, i have always loved combibos. i never looted THAT much before on them (or any other beastie) but now that it is possible i smile.

i know many people are whining about low end mobs giving up killer loot from time to time, but the globals, hofs, and ath still lean heavy on tougher mobs. people are not getting 4k combibos or exos daily. and even if they were, i think that would be an incentive to continue, not quit. people are SO disheartened after them realize they will lose and lose until their skills get to a high level, only to fins out that doesn't do jack either. this makes me want to hunt again. i am a mid level hunter but stopped months ago and now just mine and trade and talk. or play with my wii. :)
 
I saw this too and grabbed a shot.
Nice loot i guess, but you got to wonder if they were a newcomer within days or weeks, or experienced of years.

Guess it goes to show that loot is evened out among many mobs now.
I used to often hunt tripudion, they gave good loot, highest from them 42ped, but they were good, and also tonight someone got a 486 hof on one. I went to hunt some myself, and loot was terrible.
 
First the insane markup on Gsi:s couse of low droprate. And now this, where every mob can drop insane amounts of money. Is this MA:s way to make skills totally worthles? So that nobody can sell there skill, couse there is nobody that want them??
 
Congrats to the lucky hunter. It's happened before and will happen again, I really don't think its worth getting upset about

I think the thing that most people (including myself) are upset about isn't so much that someone just got a huge HOF off this particular mob. Granted, it upsets me, but not NEARLY as much as the fact that over the past couple days, a number of low level mobs that can be counted on my fingers have dropped loot totalling well over 40K peds of loot. I think this was just a culmination of all the other uber loots we've seen. Feffoids, okay... atrax... sure... this, that.... you've gotta be kidding me... but then to top it all off, a combibo mature: Excuse me while I go throw up.

If this had happened while all the highest loots in the HOF list were from daspletors, SEGs, kreltins, chompers, hogglos, etc..., it would be one thing. But when the all the insane entries at the top of the HOF list consist of things that I routinely squish underfoot on my way to take a dump while most people SEEM to be seeing large drops in their loot, it's reason to be a little disgruntled.

The 8k maff above in the Hof list is as bad as the comb if u ask me. No wonder i cant even get return to cover decay since the VU.

yet another of a thousand reasons I decided to pack it in today and put every single thing i owned on auction. Not sure what im gonna do when it all sells. Perhaps go to cnd on a super mining expedition, or buy a bunch of chips and chip out all my skills, sell them and then craft a bazillion filters.... who knows. I just needed a change cause of sick of losing all the time and I refuse to deposit another penny into this damn game. ;)

IMHO hunting in EU = pure slot-machine ATM, i don't like slot-machines and never plays it in RL.
I can only hope, what MA change that back. And btw i don't like current 50% loss at hunting (if i didn't got big globals).
So, -rep to MA from me, and gratz to the looter.

Yeah that's Demonic's though, and although she prolly deserves It, still mad to get one that high on a mob like that. So gratz to her same as the other guy got too :)
 
Not to be sore losers but this one drop then a feff .. while me and vapor where hunting spiders ….

Neither of us where happy ,for what we killed and the skills it took us to get to this level not to mention the huge decay we where taking and how much we where putting in the loot pool.

To see a mob we could kill in 2 shots,,, maybe one if we ch it to drop a huge loot was not bad at least to me, but to see our very low globals with that … ok that made us sad!

I have seen it before low level mobs give big pay out: it happens like its been said its dynamic and its cyclic, everything will balance out.

Its a new vu all the old timers will tell you dont hunt after a new vu, maybe superstition or good advice, I don't know but after every vu seems there is a wtf did they do to the loot thread.

Bottom line for me is that the the sky is not falling, others are making good loot of of high level mobs and the Hof list is not static.

on a side note I noticed your in Tucson :) hope your enjoying this fine weather like I am in Phoenix.

Mining, maybe, crafting, well possible but to get such a HUGE loot from Hunting - cmon where is the reality chip on that one!

I do believe that Uber Loots should stick with Uber Mobs - that is what makes it appealing to be Uber.

IMHO This sucks the big one!

Ok...if I had deposited tens of thousands of dollars into the game I got to admit I'd be a bit peeved. Having only deposited thousands, and being a hippie, I'm not so upset.

One thing that has always struck me is the same names constantly cropping up on the globals. True, a number of times there is no choice but for them to appear due to the item manufactured, however it is a bit disconcerting seeing hunters get guarenteed globals constantly while others spend the same amount of ammo and decay for animal oil worth 50 pec.

Sure, larger investors have tied a great deal of cash into the game and are bound to be miffed when they see their money going to someone else who hasn't put in enough to buy a twinkie.

In the end it has two perspectives. Neither is liable to agree with the other and every change to the system will impact someone negatively. I'm kinda impressed the negative impact isn't universal this time.

For any who feel it is unfair that players with no cash to invest should end up winning, may I suggest they try playing stocks and shares...the common rabble and rif-raf are not common there and are easy to dissuade from competing. The potential rewards are high and the hours are flexible.

If you do, can I have your Shadow and Mod-Fap's please...you won't need them there :D
 
So now the price of uber gear and skills will drop, who need them anyway...

Globaled 5 times on CP, the biggest one was 177 ped. Still made a huge loss.
I TP down, put on kobold and started hunting feffs east of phoenix with TT blade and I break-even....

I know what I'm gonna hunt in the future...
MA don't want us to go hunting on big mobs anymore. :(

-rep for the MA-designers of the new 'loot' system.
 
:confused: I think the playerbase deserves an explanation from MA concerning recent lowmob hof-events and the planned future direction of the game/universe as a whole.

How to find motivation for skilling, acquiring better equipment, etc., when it seems that the trend is towards high random loots instead of "steady growing" loots according to mob difficulty / skills / eq.?

Most profitable to just hunt low mobs with (L) weapons, no skills and no armor/fap and hope for a hof?

At least in online casinos you know the odds, here you don't know anything for sure.

When can we expect aswers to the questions sent to Q&A:s?
