i am intrested in chipping up my minimun damage on a laser rifle

i know that the skills that affect min damage are
anatomy, IRD and RDA - perhaps a few others to a lesser degree

what i want to know is this

anatomy implants go for round 120-130 peds a pop
while IRD go for upwards of 600 Peds,
with RDA somewhere inbetween

does anybody know if 4 anatomy implants will give the same increase as 1 IRD to justify the difference in price

basicly i realize that there are lots of inconsistancies in the skill implant market and would like to chip up as cheap as possible

thank you in advance for your advice

Ird sucks. I put in one full chip and didn't see any more and a 0.1 damage increase on a firefoge 9900 ME.

Unlock Wounding and watch min dmg go up.

Hm IRD affect min dmg ? So far i know it affect the average to do higher damages but not the min dmg. That Anatomy affect min dmg was also new to me.

Can anyone confirm this min dmg raising attribute on that skills please ?

now i may be wrong and somebody correct me if i am, but i have heard
that no matter what your skills, in the long run, your average damage with a weapon is going to be at about %51 between your min and your max damage

i seem to remember a few threads where people have tested this extensivley.

any thoughts?

Yeah i goes up to max 50% but i only know for sure that

LWT and Rifle + hidden build up your min dmg on a Laser Rifle.
And i know that IRD not raise your real min dmg in the Stats but help to
prevent getting it.

I think Wounding and later Kill strike help here too but i never got this skills so i cant say for sure. Weapon Handling might also help a little but im not lay my hand in fire for this.

IRD and Wounding sux as dmg mod, go for blp/laser, anatomy and rda.

Anatomy increase min damage in a nice amount for sure.

Wich is better IRD or anatomy to chip up , depend on the weight they got in skill system , and i do bieleve Ird got better weight , but i do bielieve not 4 time more.
So , if you chip something , i would go for anatomy.
Also , the chiping value , depend on how many skill you got allready in the skill.
If you got 8k anat and 500 IRD , i guess chiping IRD will give better result.
If anat is kinda low , i would chip it up.

markus and vedder are right imo, check what they posted, and don't ignore lwt, be glad you get more than a couple levels per chip too, lol

Wounding doesn't sux. It gives a nice dmg increase to all kinds of weapons across the board, and it's the skills you'll gain most in per chip if you just unlocked it.
I agree with Etopia on chipping up low level dmg modifying skills.

On a sidenote, rifle doesn't affect dmg, does it?

bad idea to chip that skill, then :)

well im after wounding atm and i chipped some rda.

im pretty sure that rda gives the most gain.

an "old" player told me that he chipped blp up to 8.5k to unlock wounding. well...i think its cheaper to chip rda a bit over 6k....

but we will see. im at 36.22% or somewhat. i post my skillz when i got wounding.

edit: and yes rifle or such doesnt effect min dmg

Laser weap. affects pro standing. This is why you can see a difference between Plasma, Gauss, BLP and Laser Sniper.

I have no facts about whether it affects Min Damage also though.

EDIT: It does. (Sry, misread your post at first, Mr Blade)

...and thx for the 'rounds' yesterday.. Was fun:)

hmmm LWT and such affects min dmg. from what i have seen on my avi, not much tough...

Hmm.. My reply might have been a bit confusing. :)
Indeed, since you were quoting AkiranBlade who were talking about lwt ;)

I've been trying to determine how to calculate the min dmg %, analyzing the skills of several people after unlocking RDA, wounding and KS (all of them unlocked by min dmg), and so far, I'm under the impression that LWT is the skill that affects the most to the min dmg in laser weapons. It seems to account for 25% of the weight. In other words, an increase of 1600 levels of LWT raises your min dmg in a full 1%. These numbers are temptative, since I've got only a few data sets so far.

Anatomy seems to be the second, in order of influence.

Rifle, as stated before, has zero influence in min dmg (you can check that your min dmg % is exactly the same in all laser weapons, irrespective if they are rifles or handguns).

hm....i did a quick check yesterday about LWT.

i compared my min dmg on a FF8kM and my min dmg on as147. i have 1k or such less BWT then LWT and i tried to calc how much BLP i would need to get the same min dmg % on the as147 as on the FF. it looked like that its only ~3%. So my conclusion was that LWT or BWT only have 3% effect on min dmg....

hmm...could u understand what i wrote ?

maybe someone could tell me if this is any good to get the 'wight' of LWT?

and maybe someone could try that too?

ill have a deeper look again today ;)

btw...i read somewhere that Weapon Handling has effect on min dmg. funny thing was that after inserting a full chip my 3rd prostanding changed from blabla Sniper to blabla Pistoler  -> I have 2k more rifle then handgun so that means WH effects only Pistoler?

Okay.

Well. We want to know how to calc the min dmg (what skillz effect it and how much).

What do we know yet:

- U can see your min dmg in the stats screen of any weapon.
It looks like: Damage interval/max 21.0 - 58.0 / 29.0 - 58.0

- Rifle and Handgun dont effect min dmg

- We are (I am) sure that L(B,G,P)WT, RDA, Anatomy effects min dmg

- I am not sure about Aim, MMS, WH, CR

My SKillz (that might effect min dmg):
Aim: 4466
CR: 4063
IRD: 4147
MMS: 5465
RDA: 6048
WH: 4770
Ana: 5398
LWT: 6670
BWT: 5051

My min dmg on varios standard weapons:

Snowflake unlocked wounding at here

OK. So someone tell me what min dmg i REALLY have and when i unlock wounding :)

If some of you care and post their skillz and min dmg too then the math pros could solve the puzzle quicker...

36.25

it takes 4 anatomy chips for 0.1% your need 0.15% to get wounding

Hi Kyl,
Thanks for posting... Your skills match perfectly with my results posted above.

The difference between your LWT and BWT is almost exactly 1600, and the difference between you %'s is exactly 1.0 (36.2% in LWT vs 35.2% in BWT).

This is equivalent to say that LWT (or BWT)'s weight is exactly 25%, as calculated for other data sets.

Cheers,
/jdegre.

Edit: For you min dmg %, you only need one weapon for each technology, and it is more accurate the higher the weapon's damage is.

---REMOVED--- full of false afirmations, sorry guyz ..

Maybe i'm sleepy and my eyes fooled meh ....
yeah, never try to reply again to theads when i'm sleepin, lol

No.

- DarkFire who have 32% min dmg on blp carbines but 5.2 CHA

hehe,

==LWT/BLP==Good
==Anatomy==Good
==ird== (But does not help good at all) if thinking about the prize it does not help at all, lol
==RDA== (very good)
==Wounding== Magic!

Thats the main skills that boost it the best, cant say i can say any other skills affect min/dmg at all realy,

now if we could get the % of each .... that'd be great for sure
