well seen as were onto that subject i'd just like to say that i only had neme with 5b's for tha main part of te last MMOWC and my guns were a camo urban and FreanD delta... ( Delta is now VERY affordable)

jus saying i got the the quarters for this rounf with that gear and V limited skills..... who knows.... someone with exactly te same settup my be able to win it?

Well it is the "world championship" so I don't think someone with a jester or non depositor or noobie should win, but saying that, with a little luck and a global or 2 anyone could win, where skalman was going for smaller mobs, neo was after bigger mobs, most thought neo would win with his terminator, but no, the small globals/mobs won, so I say its possible for anyone from mid player up to win,, I just hope I can get to mid player quick

Big gratz to ND for pulling this one together, an LA deed is an awesome prize to say the least. Now I have one year to skill enough to be able to at least enter next year. Also have one year to try and get a hold of some bad ass weapon to give me a chance of competing.

These new (L) BLP weapons should come in usefull for this, with 10/10 HA could a noob do well? Has to be worth a shot now.

Mob choice matters alot,

Its not just about who has the highest skill and best guns. trust me

Seeing this event steadily returning over a few years, it will sure establish itself as THE event in the MMORPG world.
Right now there maybe ain that many people to chalange the current few super-elites but they will come, rest asure, they will. (read "I will")
In the meen time i'll just breake out my pom-poms and cheer for the winners.

you cant uber your way through the whole competition, to get far you need high dmg guns to make the luck factor smaller

I think you're wrong... 100% wrong. LA income does add to the lootpool (maybe) but MA certainly won't think.... "hmmmm we won't be getting 200k ped for that landarea sale best we take it out of the lootpool"

Initial design costs aside it costs MA effectively nothing to designate an area to be a land area (i imagine it's code cutting/pasteing now) as it costs them nothing to drop a Ambulimax Thigh Bone or ModMerc or a hugely expensive non (L) uber sklilling BP.

Anyway, maybe I'm looking on the bright shiny side of life but that's my thoughts on it..

The MMOWC is an event geared toward the outside World. It has the potential to become a global marketing platform for corporations looking to market their products to gamers who are now one of the most sought after Demographics. The MMOWC is targeting all Massive Multiplayer online Gamers from around the world regardless of their current subscriptions to MMO's.

Entropia Universe genuinely Provides the Best flatform and the Only platform capable of hosting an event of this potential scale that is managed and owned independently of the Developer.

In order for a country to Host the Olympics the country has to invest heavily in creating a Stadium capabable of Hosting such an Event.

As it stands no Other Massive Multiplayer Universe with a skill based game engine currently offers the right kind of tools or the private ownership to its users to develop commercial Events and business ventures...

The first MMOWC was very much a grass roots endeavour. My main priorities included testing the event system for tournaments, evaluating the appeal of the event and most importantly filming the Event so that we can package it for Broadcasting... The Key on that front is to try to enable an outsider to appreceate the dynamics of the sport and experience an emotional connection with the competitors..

If we can succeed with this, then the sky is the limit. There are tens of Millions of Online Gamers in the world. And to be the champion of this genre is a magnificent title. With the added bonus of Major Prizes, this is an event that could prove irresistable particularly since you dont even have to leave home to qualify.

A Private Land area in EU is a tremendous prize and will more than pay for itself and benefit the community as a whole, simply from a marketing standpoint...

Theres an enormous amount of work in the year ahead to take this event to the next level, but We are definately very encouraged.

I apreciate the hype, the excitement, the uniqueness of it all...

However, I would apreciate even more if these events wore based on skill levels and in different categories... would give lower level players also a chance to win an LA ...

maybe I missed it but will we see a little vid of the final or something like that?
