Many people will give you advice, listen but don't act upon it quickly or at all. Look things up yourself. This game overall is skill based and having the better items in game doesn't always = good investment. Beware the auction market information especially if someone is trying to sell you something. Just play 'cheap', read the noobs section of forum, study the weapons, dps, equipment info, skills needed etc. This place is deceptively easy but is actually intensely detailed.

I'd suggest putting the peds into storage but getting a gold card ASAP!!! :wise: Hopefully you have one but don't reply to this either way.

I tell new players to explore for awhile then deposit ~ $50 USD. That's about the cost of a game. Use that ped to learn how to balance your loots for whatever you're doing. Study the items and auction. Don't spend more than the $50 for at least a month or two. You can make it last if you're doing things right.

meh, the last I heard MA had 1 Millions accounts. Today, out of those 1 Million accounts there are 4500 accounts that are eligible to be mentors.

So around 4500 people that have been in entropia universe for over 6 months AND are over level 15 in anything.

where did the other 995,000 people go? I'm guessing they went away. as hard as it for me to say it.

it's true that there are about 4500 ppl who you can select for mentor atm. but what about all the descibles? persanoly i'm doing my descible run now and when i'm done i'll get some descibles of my own!
 
I was playing for 3 months when I hit an unamped ATH , the abuse I got was unreal - Pure vile insulting my family and using insults like "I hope you mother gets !!!!!" this happened inside the CND control room from 2 members of the same soc, as I have played more and deposited way more than what I got on the ATH one thing I don't understand is these two scumbags are deemed well respected in game, just a pair of Gimps and their time will come, one of them just had a nice discovery. but i know what they are and I will say one thing, anyone insulting you at present - just remember they don't hate you , they hate the fact they are not you......

Please enjoy your loot, withdrawing most of it would be wise (See if MA gets the idea :rolleyes: ), and invest the rest in something nice that will make your EU life easier, and most important of it all, don't let the haters make you feel bad. You're not at fault here. And huge grats. :)

Take it all out...you just got what everyone plays their eu life for...what more is there to gain?

Aimed at persecution of other players who - let's face it - no chance of such a thing.
Personally I doubt that this loot is handed out by accident.
They are giving away such a thing a unit in social groups to show that you can win or...
this can be one big scam (avatar + the loot)

Strange because I play like a fool ~8 years - the last 5 years I can not get a value of more than 500 ped - generally still lose sometimes getting globals that do not change anything. Honestly this MA should me pay damages for bodily injury caused by the use of their product. Over the years I developed a neurosis only, not to mention the wasted time. I'm addicted - it is a disease - do not tell me that I can stop - you stop smoking, drink, play...

you will talking about your ATH with some RL friend or in others forum (20% of those player will try entropia / 5% will make deposit and becoming addict, 1% will make peds-> they ll talking of this nice game too....)

What the hell are you talking about? I've smoked the last 7 years and I just stopped 2 months ago. It ain't that hard. The same things goes with EU. Why do you even play if you seem to so not enjoy it? I'm not saying that you aren't allowed to have loot-theories or what-not, but the fact is that MA doesn't force you to play, and the cigarette-corporations doesn't force us to smoke. They may manipulate us, but they can't force us. Stop being a cliché cult-member in a non-existing cult, because like there and here you have your free will.

And, no - I don't believe that MA sits behind a desk and picks an avatar to give him or her a big HoF. I'd say the chances are bigger that a new player will withdraw it than, for instance, someone like you getting a HoF.

It's pure luck and we can try to affect this 'luck' by killing bigger things, mining and manufacturing more expensive, etc, but in poker I've lost flopped quads to runner-runner higher-quads, so everything is possible - as it is in poker and life, it is in EU.

(EDIT: I am not trying to imply that poker is based on luck, but some elements are.)

Just because one person finds something simple to accomplish (quit smoking) doesn't mean everyone else does.
I understand what XII is talking about. It's harder to stop for some people than it apparently was for you.
Personally, I found it really hard to counter my addiction to chasing the trumpets in EU. Even now, with the controls I have in place over my gameplay, I still find it incredibly hard to NOT slip back.
The fact I still play at all, shows that I'm not 100% over my addiction, especially considering the financial burden it's been over the years.


To the OP:

Well, sure, addictions exist, and I am not saying otherwise, however, to imply that one hasn't got one's own free will is stupid. Yep. Plain stupid. I can quit if I want to, and if I don't want to then it means that I won't quit - not can't.

I just think that it's wrong to blame everything we get hooked on with the word "addiction", which has a negative tone to it. I like TV-series. I like them so much I follow so many at the same time I have trouble keeping track of them. Am I addicted to TV-series? Yes, probably, but I like it. Totally worth it.

Do you feel physically ill when you don't watch your TV series? Or do you go through anxiety attacks if you can't see the latest episode? Get angry and short-tempered? Pull a sicky at work so you can watch TV?

I have been isolating myself for many years watching my TV-series, mate. I can't say that's had a positive effect on my life, but it has been my choice.

btw. from my experience I know that I would have a better chance in a casino than in EU now -after special changes from MA for me.

But EU is a casino. Let me put it this way: I've been knifing Oros for a while. 2'500 Oros and I've lost almost nothing PED-wise. Sometimes 70% return, and sometimes 130% - why? Because I kill 350+ on 100PED tt-knives.

Now, compare this to my Atrox-hunt a did an hour ago. 180 PED ammo + 48 PED decay - return was 96 PED TT, and here I killed approximately 50 Atroxes.

My Atrox-hunt = casino. My Oro-hunt(s) = counting cards (albeit I didn't profit, but if I had continued for like forever, fixed with all the MU-stuff (I only saved eye oil, oro hide and some insanely high MU extractors) I believe it would have worked fine in the end, just like P4+104 probably does on Argo (I'll try that as soon as I can)).

Many online-casinos offer a bonus. ;)

Personally I get anxiety just thinking about casinos. I like Texas NLHE, and I've advanced fairly well in many tournaments when I was younger. I'll probably leave EU soon and get back to that.

If you don't know.. well that avatar is a known exploiter and I personally don't trust anything associated with them in any way, shape or form. False or not, with them being involved, I hope MA is looking into it. Sorry, nothing personal with you.
