I just sweat for skills and money. but is there other reasons? Skill in the most part. and meeting more ppl but I think there is more is there more?

Some people gather sweat to have something to do while watching tv, eating, or other things

For a noob it's a good way to get familiar with the game mechanics.

When I started - sweat was 1.3 pec a bottle.
I think it's 0.4 or something like that.
500 sweat/hour = 2 ped = $0.20.
I without a doubt don't do it for money.

Also, my sweat skill is only about 550 now - after 2.5 years - I definitely don't do it for the skill. :ahh:

If I get mad at loot .. I sweat.
When I get frustrated with my RL Mom or EU "Mom" responsibilities .. I sweat. :duh:
If I'm feeling gracious - I go give away pixie bits/opalos .. then I sweat.
The times I don't have a (L) pistol .. I sweat.
And of course - if I want to see Mega .. I sweat. :D

sometimes bored and whant 2 do something ells and it can be fun sometimes doing it with friends ( belive it or not ) , sometimes need 2 make own ME so insted for buying sweat , gathering it self .

some people that have money to deposit want the challenge of advancing your avatar from the ground up without buying your way there :)

some ppl do it to help cut the cost of their ME addictions

For the ME. For the skills. For something productive to do when PED is too low to hunt or mine and wait for the right time to deposit. I sure don`t do it for the globals! And sweating can provide social time in game and can be fun depending who else is out there sweating. Nea`s is the new Camp Phoenix. And anyone who remembers those days recalls the fun had there. What is not to like about a good sweat orgy?

The times I don't have a (L) pistol .. I sweat.

I do the same for a hour or two these days. It helps keep my ME count up so I don't find my self stuck in the middle of no where.

I also enjoy free skills and when I used to sell my sweat the "free" money that did help offset some costs.:D

I like to sweat. There was a time this past mid-summer when I was running good and didn't sweat much, if at all. I found that I did miss it because it is relaxing for me and it is a guaranteed winner every time. Not a big winner but a winner none the less. You can run or TP to the middle of nowhere and find something to sweat. Its just plain fun to me. I have over 100,000 points and I still like to sweat. I must admit though that I do sweat/kill and on the small mobs. You get 60 sweat from an exosur and then get 14 ped in loot and that is the best, just like the old opola and no armor days. Hell I almost get giddy:yay:.

Well it's pretty clear to me that pretty much any job at all pays better than sweating. I sure don't do it for the money.

To be honest, all the sweating I've done in the last 12 months has simply been as a way to chill out. When I need a break sometimes and I'm in the right mood, I'll grab myself a cup of coffee, head off to Nea's, and sweat. Sometimes I'll take armour and ammo so that I can eliminate the dry Ambus, which makes everyone else's life a bit easier.

Also, once I have a bunch of sweat, I'll sell half, buy some Force Nexus, and make some ME and might even go do a bit of healing.

So for me, it's all just relaxation, and a way of unwinding.

If you sweat for money... Well, that's just plain stupid. You may get payed $10 to move the lawn, which might take half an hour, thats an hourly pay of $20 or 200 peds. When sweating, you maybe be able to get 1k bottles of sweat an hour, which at current marked price equal 5 peds an hour. That's 40 times less! In other words, it's not worth it.

So, you think you get good skills while sweating? You don't, you get free skills, asuming you don't waer any armor, and that's basicly it.

I hate sweating and think it's a waste of time, but I am glad that not everyone is like me, otherwise I'd have to pay a MU of a quadrillion% for ME, which I use quite a lot of.

SWEATING... hehe... sweating is verry fun. Especialy when sweating with friends.... and you skill too. Most of the time you can find me at swamp sweating. Sometimes i focus and heal the ones near me. Its fun, lots of fun.

Sweat to skill, be bored, any excuse to not do my calculus or stats homework, when loot sucks, when friend is sweating, when p5a or other L gun breaks and not the ped to get a new one yet, and last when i use up all my ME.

I have always thought about the cost ratio of sweating and I could go bet a basic job and make a lot more but then I think about the enjoyment (it is relaxing for me) and it is worth it. It is something I can do without much worry and actually end up with some product in the end.

If you think of it on the money side it is better to mow a lawn like said above but same goes for hunting, go mow a lawn instead of hunting in hopes to break even.)

Everyone has their enjoyments and this is one for many.

And if you don't use FAP this is 100% free :)

I am sweating very often.

Most times when I wait for an auction to finsish, or waiting for some mates.

Sideeffect is that I get my ME cheaper than buying it :)

And if the limit of my monthly deposit is reached and I am broke its time to sweat for the rest of the month ;)

To mix with Nexus and make my own ME; to gain a few Evade, CR, etc, skills; to use up one of the many FAP-5s that every mob and its dog keep giving me; to socialise and help out noobs with a bit of experienced advice; relaxation; when I just don't feel like hunting; when everyone in the ring is playing with BIG rocket launchers that kill me in one hit (no fun there); erm ...

Why pay when i get it for free :scratch2:
And i don't use my teleport chip not much (1 or 2 jumps / hunt)

greetings,

bigdeal

I started sweating +2 years ago. Boring? I still like it.

i for one find it relaxing to do a little sweating after a hunt :) and also hanging on swamp camp is loads of fun. Conversation there is pretty crazy sometimes :yay:

Wed

Have you been there 2 days ago when a girl, don't know the avatar name, had only one que question, and repeated it over and over: "Who do i sell little sweat?"

Imagine that after several decent replyes, some of us tryed to explain to her how to sell the sweat. Guess what, the question still continued to pop-up on a 30 sec interval :))))))) There wore some carzy answers after that :p

"Sell it to TT"
"Do you have big sweats?

and stuff like this.....

And another cool stuff in swamp while sweating, is when someone brings in uber mobs like araneatrox :eek: cool, verry cool. Or when "someone" "collects" all the mobs in the vicinity of swamp and breings them in the middle of the noobs.... the revival terminals are full, you revive one on top on the other :)))))))

Count me in for the statement of "sweating is kind of relaxing"! :yay::wtg::yay: I also like those cute Daikis and Combis too much to shoot them! ;)

But for really answering the question of "why you sweat if you have $€$€$ that you could deposit": I also do it for the PEDs and the skills.. yeap.. for the PEDs sounds really strange.. well I somehow consider it as playing a RTS game like Age of Empires or any of this kind of games.. you basically need to collect xyz of resources to be able to do that.. Do you really mind that it takes a huge time to gather thousands of that resource while playing that game? Me not really.. and if so, you can use some trainer or cheat code in this kind of games.. Some people like to do so, some want to try it (first) without! Like in this kind of games it makes a lot of fun if you can use uber units and just kick the ass of the enemy of the board from the moment you start (which doesn't avoid you having some real though times however).. but at the other side, it is also nice to say afterwards "well it was really hard to do, but I made it without cheats".. ok, you don't get a statue for that or something and you will need a lot of time.. and savegames, but it is a nice feeling!

And is there such a difference in shooting and sweating mobs? ;)

Just my 2 cents..

If you have a job in real life, and you have a family to take care of, you will never sweat for 'earning peds'.

You can sweat for fun, and consider it as a part of EU gameplay. But sweating for more than 1h is not fun.

hmm..

If you sweat for money... Well, that's just plain stupid.

You must not have tried to do some sweat/selling at Neas much? I can't tell you how many blueprints and low level armor/weapons I've sold doing that sort of stuff... blueprints were given to me from a crafter at tt prices, so I was able to go as low as .02-.10 each sometimes, in rare cases, when I was feeling generous... low prices, but even at .02, that's earning 200% profits on those .01 bps, in addition to what I was making with the sweating at the same time. Just this last weekend, I sold over 90 blueprints at neas! :) ;)

Yes I still sweat, still like to do it.

Reasons I sweat ?
For my own use, ME.
While I sweat I skill also some paramedic, on myself and others around me.
And I carry a weapon and some ammo, handy to get dry mobs away.

There are times that I do not like to sweat in crowded places.
Sometimes I just need to get out of those, then I find a nice quiet spot
somewhere on Amethera and solo sweat and hunt.

Sweating also helps me through the low loot periods. :D

When I started sweat prices was about 3 pec /bottle (now 0.3 pec!!!) for a long time. But I hated sweeating - so I never got more than 1.5 levels.

Hunting was so uch more fun - and also where I met all my current friends ;)

I usually sweat on my lunch at work. sell on the weekends and hunt. Then sweat all week again.

When you say 3 pec per bottle, how much is in the bottle. I haven't been around long enough to know exactly what you mean. Sweat now is around 5 ped (as you know) per 1K and that is the size of the bottle. I have seen the per bottle used before but no one has explained.

Thanks for the info.
