Just curious as to what kind of setups people have for hunting...at the moment this is my setup:

Full Set of Supremecy (M) + 5b plates
ML-35 T4 + Dante (not maxed only level 60 blp sniper hit, 60 ranged blp) x2 Accuracy Enhancers x2 Damage Enhancers
R150 T6.x + Dante (Maxed out) x3 Accuracy Enhancers x3 Damage Enhancers
Adjusted Ravenger Mini-Sweeper V1 T2.6 (not maxed only level 60 blp sniper hit, 60 ranged blp) x2 Damage Enhancers
EK-2600 T2.x w/1 heal enhancer and 1 eco enhancer
Adj SK-50 UL T2.x w/2 heal enhancers

So that is my setup, what is yours? :)

I guess I could list mobs too if anybody seems interested in that..

Note: I haven't been able to hunt in awhile but I figured I would update my hunting setup since it has been awhile since I've been able to update it. :)

For now...

Isis Cb19 (L) + Beast
Full gremlin no plates used in pieces (trying to tier it up but also leaving some pieces off to gain medical skills)
Vivo T20 (L)

Strategy: Working my way through iron missions on argos, hunting them in groups of 5 or so at a time trying to fire as constantly as possible (sacrificing a little armor decay for speed). Hunt until my beast breaks, at which point I record my results.

That is a very good setup, Argonauts will definitely beat up your armor to get that tier up on it :) I used to do this same setup all the time when I was using my ghost set. Worked nicely to tier it up.

Good luck with getting your medical up, it's always a pain in the butt!

CB26 (UL) + Dante
Ghost +5B
Fap90 and UR125(L), only in lower SIB so its kind of slow :(
 
I usally switch gear and setups alot

Right now i dont have any good armor, only a Grunt and Expedition with 5B plates and a borrowed T-bird, with my own 6B plates. Will probebly buy a Jaguar as soon as i can afford one (Have a UL Harness already).

For weapons I have a tier 3 DOA LM +Dante (not maxed but love it so I dont care). But I also use L weapons like apis, cb26, cb28. Sometime p5a +a104. Or some nice longblade or shortblade. Will buy a ML-35 and another dante when i can afford it :) (give me a nice hof MA) :silly2:

For healing I use maxed UR125 and a tier 2 EK-2600.

Just about no Markup spent and it's allways arround so works great.
 
Depends on mob really but in general it's like this

ML-35 as puller if I'm on a high aggro mob
Apis+dante
Gremlin/bear/goblin UL + 5b's
Adjusted fap
 
Too many combinations to list all, and unlikely to go down anytime soon, but a summary would be:

Weapon: LR32+A104 / LR41+A104 / LR53+A104 / Kinetic Attack VI or VII / Some powerfist
FAP: Hedok SK-20 / Vivo T15(L) / Regeneration III(L) + Herb Box / Vivo T1 / Vivo T5(L)
Armor: Explorer / Warrior / Hunter / Kobold / Predator(L) / Knight + 1C/2C/2A/3B/5A

Covers 90%+ of my hunting in the past 9 months.
 
Well a lot to switch depending on mobs.

But since my fav mobs are argo and drone it is mostly
drone:
grem+3b,
( p5a(soon ul)+a105 ) or ( riker ul3(ul)+A105 ) or ( bicac kek (ul) ),
Adj SK20 SGA + Herb Box + SK50 for emergency

Argo
hunter + 1a
( p5a(soon ul)+a105 ) or ( riker ul3(ul)+A105 ) or ( bicac kek (ul) ),
Adj SK20 SGA + Herb Box + SK50(L) for emergency

and various (L) weapons for occasional bigger hunts...
Additional choices for armor: pixie,gnome,shogun, ghost, vigi, kobold + 5b,6a,2c,4c,6b,...

My hunting setup is..

Phantom armour F with a shadow foot :)
Modified Isis LR53 UL with a lowly A104 (still waiting to get a 106) thats at tier 4.7 so far, but only use enhancers if hunting bigger mobs in a team, as they break to god damn quick lol.
Use a SilverFang for tagging, love this gun, tier 1 with range enhancer on it.
Dont use blp much, but if I do, I have a Ravenger, plus some L guns thats been looted throughtout the years.
Same for Pistol, not used much but got a Karma and Frean Delta if I have enough looted ammo.
And mellee as finishers usualy.
EK2600 tier 3 with 2 heal enh and 1 eco.


Hunting style, whatever I feel like at the time :)
 
Depending on mobs ofc

Low lvl:

Opalo + A101
No armor
Vivo T15 (L)

Medium lvl:

Improved EP-21 + A105, Ancient Justifier MKII + A105
No armor / Gremlin
Vivo T15 (L)

High lvl:

Adjusted V1, Ancient Justifier MKII + A105
Jaguar UL (a few L parts)
Vivo T15 (L) between mobs, Ek-2600 during the fight

BreerM2a (L) / Justifier Mk.II
Shogun + 5B
Regeneration Chip III + Vivo T1

My mobs: argos / atrox

Wait, Justifier MK II vs trox? The times I have hunted trox with only 1.5 the dps of MK2 I have felt terribly underpowered :(
 
I hunt with any kind of mêlée I possess, meaning from Sollomate Crusho till Castorian Combat EnBlade 13, Mentor Edition.
Thus depending on weapon / mob combination I use Thunderbird (L), Gremlin, Shogun, Pixie plus 5B, 4C or 6A (placed a bid here in Forum). I have an Ek-2600, soon to be replaced by a Fap-90 when it breaks, and a Vivo T1.

WOW I didn't think I would get this many replies to this topic, It's always fascinating to see the different combination of setups around here. Some I didn't know would work well together :)

99% of the time i use
grem+5b's
ur125 or sk-80
X1 or XT + dante or beast.
Dont need a tagger ;)

i use L armor for bigger mobs but dont hunt big that much.
 
Angel + 5b/6a depending on mobs
Camo urban + Dante / Mk5 + a105 (Sometimes I toss a few level 1/2 damage enh on the mk5 to crank up the dps)
Mostly using Adapted UR125 to heal when I can find them on auction, otherwise just a normal 125.

The DPS on the 2 guns is very similar so it works well.
 
At the moment I am hunting Huon's and Oro's

Amour: Bear UL + 5B
Fap: 2600 T1 and 2300 T0.8
Weapons: Mostly Arkadian weapons (L) Herman Cap 101 desert T8/ Herman Asi 30 + beast/ Herman Asi 20 desert + Beast
 
gnome 5b/6a
fap50 SGA (tier 2.x atm) any L fap
Anything L depending on mob
 
Tier 4.9 v-rex 2k sga with X1 or apis combo depenting on their current markups (Currently skilling melee with rutic bett)
Armor depents on the mob's damage type
Ur125 / regen chip III / fap-5

I kill most mobs before they reach me. Bigger mobs with one or two deaths :)

I mostly use my Kilic Vass, but atm I'm borrowing an electric attack chip VII. The only UL armor I have is settler and shogun, so I mostly use that and add plates depending on what mob. For fapping I use either ur125 or 150, mostly ur125. I mostly hunt Argo/Trox.
 
I am using a Mk V + a106 (far from effecient skills wise)
Full Nemesis (f) + 5b working on getting a full tiger (f) for larger mobs
only doing missions atm im working on the atrox mission with 2000/10000 after this
i might be going for argo mission and finishing my molisk mission with a bicak kek wich
I have yet to buy :)

Nice thread danimal i also enjoy reading about people's setups. Keep em comming

You need a flat area for this.

I'm using this set up for chompers, globs, and prots.

Yes, I do know that this leaves it a little thin for defensive skills.

With this setup though you can kill them pretty effectively with the longer range rifles, how often do the chompers actually get to you to where you actually need to use the stark?

As far as "FLAT" area goes, you don't really need this at all. I hunt in all kinds of areas, bumpy or flat and I still can tag and shoot mobs from far away. I happened to figure out during one of my runs if it was not flat ideal land you just "auto-shoot" while jumping. You can then tag and shoot mobs while they run at you ;)

Only Hunting bots now so: Vigi + 6A, UR125(L) + fap-5, Angst blp amp + ASI-20(L) for small drones and dorka, Adapted anabolic (L) with tier 5, all tiered with enhanced range for quick tagging, Svempa X1(L) + Angst blp, GeoTrek AL24 Scorpius (L), Kesmek Bik (L). Thats about it. And a lvl 2 tp chip.

Pretty much hanging out SW of Tukar, In the crater and SE of jason.
