Let the universe see that you have changed, let the word spread and let peoples opinion on you change over time. Time can heal all wounds, but by posting this in a forum instead of letting the change happen over time, feels to me as desperation to quickly wash off a bad reputation. Like a famous actor going to the newspaper and say "hey, im free from drugs !, make that your frontpage news so the world know im a better person now".

I dont have any grudge agains you so this aint anything personal just my opinion on the topic. However I wish you all the best and hope that all will work out in the end.

I agree completely. I'm not sure why you, Star, would feel a need to "prep" the community with an announcement of your recouncing the Dark Side unless you were either seeking immediate acceptance, or unless you know in your heart that it is something you cannot live by.

Seeking the glory and respect of being the self-proclaimed "Noobie Messiah" is almost as insulting to some of us as I am sure being shot by those who you tried to protect was to you. (did that make sense?)

The other thing I have to question is why do you think we need an explantion of how you became the "ass" in the first place? I for one think you are an ass (in game). I make no issue of it. The worst you can do to me for calling you an ass is to shoot me in PVP which you have done repeatedly without provocation in the past. Apparently I am a bigger person than you are though since I certainly never allowed your actions, or those of others to taint my spirit and drive me to become the same type of ass that I hate.

Even in my many trips to the rig where others said, "Come on, BR, help us close it" I still maintained an uneasy heart about shooting the poor little fellas that just wanted to come see the rig. Sure, some came in and shot at us first... and then it was killing in self-defense, but I rearely will enter a PVP area with the sole intent to shoot on sight just because I can.

You also made a comment about being an honest, or trusted trader. Yet in the very next sentence you admitted to having manipulated the "value" of items as it suited your needs. An honest trader is one who pays a fair price and sells for a reasonable markup and justifies this markup by providing a convenience. Not someone who intentionally manipulates the preceived market value and then pushes it higher just to make a few bucks.

Call it what you will.... -rep me for saying so, but I think the heart that is in the person behind the avatar is not sincerely what you claim you want to be and I doubt that the "new Star" will survive long.

I challenge you to prove me wrong if you can. I would certainly welcome you to the Light Side if that is the real you.

In fact i don't know you, only heard some stories and look at the global pk messages from you. It's nice to announce such a big change, but as said up, some kind of behaviours never change, in a way or another.

I hate pk, and because that reason i'm always far of those zones, and more far from the lootable ones , but i can understand people that like to pk others, for that reason that zones are set, and i'm happy that you use it to take out some steam of your daily work.
For that reason, i don't worry if you are still pk'ing or not, congratz if you want to help people, but from my experience, you have to help tenth's to find someone saying gratz and becoming friends, for this i hate helping people, too dissapointing.

But what worries me from your post is the naturality which you assume and say you manipulated the market price on certain items at your convenience. That's weird, and for that reason i can't trust you too much, sorry, but for me, this is the most annoying thing you did. (anyway if you could do it, congratulations).

Nothing more, nice to hear your thoughs, and gratz and +rep to you for the people that show saying you helped them. Perhaps you can think on joining the calypso rescue team (if it's still active, i don't know )

When i'm reading all your message, i have the feeling of seeing Star as the "evil" but hey, you can't call someone like that if he likes to PK or something, pvp area are a part of the game, you gotta live with it.

I'm still a newb but i like to go to the rig with my society and kill everything on our sight (even skalman ), pk'ing is one of the best part of this game 'n (as a FPS player) i'd probably make a thread in the "wishlist" section about it.

It wouldn't bother me at all to be the best pk'er ingame or even the most hated for being a PK'er as long as i can kill everyone ingame as it seems to be for Star.

About the "helping noobs" parts, she already started to help us and i truly think most of you will like it, everyone deserve a 2nd chance doesn't they ?

Mice - I agree with you about posting the thread in the first place. I perhaps shouldn't have posted, but I believe that I've really halted my previous way of playing EU for a few months now. Believe it or not, excluding a few random incidents of PK (including the ATH streak), I've really been a lot different in EU. Previously, I'd go to the rig for hours on end pking all. For the past few months I've gone there for maybe 5-20 minutes pking a few here and there (not counting the ATH streak). The ATH streak was only for the sake of going for that streak, which of course a ruthless CTD monster ended it as always. I even appologized to 95% of those that were killed during that streak and explained that I was going for the streak.

The reason that I posted in the first place, is mostly due to the fact that I have changed, and hardly any had noticed because they figured I was just too busy for pK or too broke to spend the money. Neither of which was the case, and I wanted people to start noticing the difference so that perhaps in the future they'd treat me the way that I am now going to treat others.

As for the trader coment, manipulation of the market isn't exactly the right word, but more of what I meant was that BUY LOW/SELL HIGHER is a staple of being a trader. That has nothing to do with honesty, it just has to do with negotiating for your services. That's all there is to it. Take what you will for this post and the 1st post, but I hold true to being a new person/player. I'm making changes in real life as well that will compliment this way of life, and I hope that my in game shortcomings can be forgiven. I in no way claim to be a GOD in EU, but I know that I'm tough to stop when I put my mind to it. Noob Messiah was simply a way to get the point accross, I'm going to be helping those less fortunate from now on, instead of picking on them for being weaker. This goes with free advice, pK protection, and various other things that can help others to enjoy the EU experience.

You may decide that I'm full of shit because my society mates will still be player killers I'm guessing. This will not shake me from my task, nor will it cause tension between us as friends. I won't ask them to stop pKing, I'll simply stop doing it myself. A few exceptions for myself will be Land Grab as well as Events. Those who I harm during those events, I appoligize in advance to.

Sounds like he wants the best of both worlds to me. To be liked and loved by others while being in a society that provides lots of benefits.

I have encountered Star more than several times ingame. She has never pk'ed me in the 3 years i've been ingame. I am not big on pK to me is a senseless waste of ammo unless you loot and I'm far too underequipped to battle anyone in pvp3 or 4 of that level.

My latest encounter with Star and maybe this will hit a spark with Star and make her remember me as normally ingame other than kind words or a Fap now and again Im fairly forgettable.

About 3 months ago I was mining in Dome 16 and there were some hunts on. Star being one of the hunters. She asked me to stop mining because she was hunting. I thought this to be an arrogant thing to even ask more or less expect out of someone doing their own thing at the time. And I argued with Star about it rather vehemently as I dont give a rats hairy ass if I have to revive 1000 times to get my point shown. Funny thing.... I never revived nor tbh did I expect to. We exchanged a rather friendly banter of total dissagreement. All the while this crazy thing continued to Own the ass of dasp after dasp and never missed a beat in out little verbal pK.

Bottom line Star never threatened to kill me, never said she would, did say she should ROFL, but didnt. Ive chatted with her on flights to CND then and since and found her to be quite personable. I say she as he is a female ava ingame sorry Star bad habit. Also if Im not mistaken that same day after our lil tiff I came to revive and recieved the only fap that can heal me full health these days and turned to see Star standing there. Well only fap the game had at the time that could do this.

Anyway in closing, I dont think the post needed to be made but I have to say Get Up Off Stars Ass about this time will tell. And tbh already has. I also passed her many times in PVP3 and hi I'm a miner you can kill me if you need ped that bad and I never died. Maybe its attitude that gets you dead maybe the attitude is yours not stars.
