I noticed a day ago, people posting pictures of "their rock", "volcano" or some claimed landmark they named. I thought this was a neat idea, so how about having this thread dedicated to a piece of Calypso you claim.

If someone claims it before you, its too late.

So go out there, search, find a thing you like take a screen, give it a name and you have claimed a landmark. No one should claim more than 1 or 2 things.

I found a rock that kinda looks like a monkeys face so I'm gonna claim that and Ill post the screen when I get home. But enjoy. This thread will be a neat little memory and history of VU 10 or the aftermath of the asteroid.

After all we are the settlers of this new land.

*I'm not 100% sure, but I may make a application or make it part of the new version of Mine-a-loot ill be making.

But I'm thinking of having the new Entropia map with little areas you can click on or search for someones land marked name and it will pop up with a screen of the location and a description and name and who discovered it. I ask for everyone who can to take the screen shot of their landmark/location in the highest settings you can run. And if you can't run in too high settings give me the coordinates and ill go take a screen for ya = ).

This really doesn't have much of a point, but it would be neat. And maybe the name will catch on and it will be known by all.

Rules:
- Structures not allowed, see exceptions.
- They cannot be too close to a TP, (at least a couple minute run away)
- Keep the claimed area small, (a mountain peak, a rock, a small part of a shore shaped in a neat way). Not entire forests or lakes.

Exceptions:
If you are wanting to claim part of a structure such as a "rooftop". This is allowed, however it will be dubbed as your hang-out with the name you give it. It will not be listed as a discovery by your avatar but just a hangout of your avatar.

Bank is like someone else's property, it has to be like a natural environment thing or some place that's pretty far off and not part of a down town city. Like in real life you can't really claim a hi rise downtown as yours (because everyone will know it isn't). But you can go out into the wilderness and call a mountain peak or crevice yours.

Try to avoid claiming buildings and structures.
 
Bleh... so many rules. If some one can claim an entire mountain, I say they can claim a roof top, not like it is the whole structure.

But the rooftop is part of a building that's belongs to someone/something.

Ok I made a type of exception, check the rules.
 
Nice idea!

I claim a nice cliff peak near PA. The only way to get to it is to run past the Mall, then over the bridge and then carefully climb up the peak for two meters.

I dub it Preddy Peak.

great idea

that adds a lot of fun to exploring. I agree with your rules.. 1 or 2 per person. And you are just naming it really. It's not like u "own" anything, just you discover it, so you name it. I have seen some places that would be great so now i just gotta get a screen shot/ coords.

As for my first claim, I decided not to go terribly far, in the victinites of Cape Corinth, there lies a peaceful small island where the sun burns and the wind blows, carrying away whispers of past memories, and Daikiba and Chirpy wander without a worry... this is Solace Island.

I would like to name the island west of cape corinth (the bigger one as seen in square #33 here: --LINK--).

If acceptable I want to name this "OreAmp Island" for the caldorite and gazzurdite this island has in its ground.

For those that dont know gazz and caldo is the main ingredients when crafting OreAmp 101.

That island is huge!!
You can run 718 times around it. :flip:

you get an awesome view of the moons from up here, it is a very long and anoying climb to get up here however, i got very lucky with this pick as all my others turned as black squares. and shortly afterwards a molisk who also somehow got up there clubed me to death:laugh:

Lake Njarr
74470 / 69100 (Eudoria)

It's a little lake surrounded by high mountains. There is a path leading from the shore of the lake climbing up and down going all round the lake and then heading north.

Coming from the mountains of the south, one of the first glimpes of Lake Njarr:

Heres a pic of my beach again . Its called Cutting Beach .
Just at raven valley N-E of fort argus

Its were i take a bath and some oil to go ,after a long hard day , both in real life and in Entropia :)
