Looks like we're really gonna do this

I guess everybody makes his/her own travel arrangements. The accomodations however is another matter. Should everybody make their own arrangements or should we (I) look into a group discount on a hotel?

For so far i see there locations like Amsterdam, Copenhagen, London, Brusle, Hamburg & Paris that would be the best sollutions to run a Live Event in Europe.

In US there is no place i could advice. I never been there. (And i not gonna go to US, until "Bush" is president)

I hope it is going to be copenhagen (sweden is okay to as long as it isn't going to be an unreachable destination) but guess I am influenced by the fact that I live in denmark and know all the cool stuff you can do in copenhagen

There are a LOT of players from Scandinavia, and Copenhagen is about as far south as we can get in Scandinavia. The Netherlands and Germany can easy get to Copenhagen by train or even car. Copenhagen is a mayor airport hub so flights will be no problem. Also we would try and get some people from MA to attend, would be easier if we're not to far from Gothenborg. To mention the Northpole show you have no clue as to where Copenhagen is situated.

As for me choosing the site because of me not wanting to travel. Thats pure speculation and uncalled for. If I go by car or boat I have to do an overnight travel to reach it.

If there's not some very good reason to change site its going to be Copenhagen. It's a wonderfull city with lots of fun to be had.

You should have paid more attention in school

Copenhagen is about one of the easiest destinations in all of Europe.
Direct train from about all major cities in Europe (Maybe one change)
Flying is even easier, and very easy access to and from Airport.

Besides, Copenhagen is the most southern major city in all of scandinavia

We want to look out for the young ones who might attent, and Denmark also have one of the lowest murder and crime rates in the world

Also, if we have someone in the northern Norway or Sweden. Copenhagen would be ALOT closer than Amsterdam and Brussle.
Actualy I think if you take entire Europe and measure the center in both ways, Copenhagen will be the closest to the center

Bring out a map of europa and a ruler. You'll be surprised to find that Euroman is indeed correct.

Edit: Anyway, it's impossible to please everyone. Some will always have a long way to travel. We can't go by a geographical center. We have to go by the approxemately center of those who want to attend. I'll guess there will be quite a few from Scandinavia. So Copenhagen for now, unless you can tell me 100 more will attend just because we move the event a little further south.

Well, ya, if it's in Europe I cannot attend. Even for an American get together it's rather difficult, as our country is a mere 3000 miles across

But, to put our two cents in... DD and I live in Seattle. I know three other ppl from our vicinity in game (one of which is Gruye) and a few ppl from Portland (about 4 hrs south). And at least one Alaskan I know that gets down here often. If there are any other ppl that will be in the Pacific Northwest in the next few months, pls let me know and we will see if the regional Northwesterners could get together.

I've not read the whole topic so i don't know if this has been suggested already. but why not have 4-5 meeting places and hook up everyone via webcam all over the globe at the same time?

Timezones might be a problem. Not to mention agreeing on a singel date for such a event. Of course everybody is welcome to arrange their own event. I just feel that we should keep it at 1 for each continent. Otherwise they'll "steal" attendants from each other.

The solution would of course be to arrange it with regular intervals, twice a year perhaps. The event could move around and everybody would have a chance to attend. They most addicted fans can of course travel any distance and join every event

What are hostles cost over you?
To get a big place for an Event there is no problem.

I gues cheapest flights wil get to London, Amsterdam, Frankfurt & Paris.
For so far i sugest on of these. (About 50 Euro From annyplace in Europe)
Maybe cheaper to get along than the current gas prizes

i can tell you I'm very very addicted but, I'm only 17 years... so traveling around the globe can be a problem for me

Kopenhagen is a cool idea, just sucks a little that the danish dont have the Euro and I would have to get foreign money, but I could get a cheap €75 flight from Berlin (which would be a cool loc. as well ;-))
The discussion about other locations is just senseless and based upon my experience, people mostly just want to travel to Holland because of the weed ...so if we finally cut off the stupid location discussion and stay with Kopenhagen I might join as well...
