Hi,

My name is Kate Devon and I am a member of International Animal Protection Association, an European association based in Paris (France).
I'm now writing to you to make you aware of something. All around the world, animals are suffering because of human carelessness.

I think this is a great iniative. Most of the people do support these ideas, but they simply don't know how to help, or how to reach those organizatios that do something. This is a great oppurtunity to do something, just simply donate as much as you can, and make a difference.

Here the CND event comes to my mind "Save animals, go virtual hunt" or something like that, don't remember the exact name, where the funds gathered during it also went to help animals. I think this is great thing that our little virtual world can do something to save the nature of our unique planet.

To the mods: i think this thread should be moved to a more appropriate section, and you can not even give the +rep for the thread starter. And the most of the the topics in this section are usually not serious, and this is serious enough matter and deserves a better place imo.

if u're actually doing this for charity, why isn't ur organization website on the list? and why are we donating thru the game and thru paypal? and worst of all contact you thru the game... ... seriously if i wanna donated, i wanna make sure the money goes to good cause like those website u given on top, As a regular donor to SPCA here in Texas, i seriously find this very fishy.

Ghm, actually yes, at the moment i'm having some second thoughts about having donated. But, ah, well, let's wait and see till Kate responds. Personally, she looked pretty genuine to me, but maybe she can respond and clarify all the details concerning her organization.

Just donate to me Luke i will kill the evil atrox who hurt the noobs all for your peds :)

i do not give to charitys in game if they are a reallife charity they have ways to contact me out of the game to ask for my donations


I personaly feel its just a new way to scam but thats just my opinion and its been wrong many times before
 
Did the rules change here, or am I beating the lock? ;)

Besides, before I worry about the animals, there are plenty of people in the world who are treated cruely and are starving so I think I would help them out first.

I will not donate anything in game, but to an organisation with a website and telephonenumbers i would call and get info before i make the donation to. I would also expect a bank account. or something make the payment to

lol miss private investigator here went to read the whole website u gave me and compare notes she wrote...

1st of all.. the whole website didn't even mentioned any of those "sponsors" she mentioned at all.
2ndly. And .org is a non-profitable organization website and every donations is accounted for their expenses of doing their cause and all this tiny bits will be recorded to their acct books, therefore it's very "surprising" that she used the word sponsored on those "sponsors".
finally i don't think such charity soliciting is even allowed in anywhere especially if u have no proper documents to proof u're from that organization, yet alone donating to her avatar which she can cash out and not knowing where the money goes too.

And if u still insists of donating, i suggest u check out that organization she supposed to be "representing" and donate it to a real good cause.

P.S: i hope someone stopped her before she start scamming in game again.. and i felt so sorry about those who donated and that guy that drop his stuff and quit the game.

Thats a good idea. Why donate in a game when you can contact many sharity organisations by the phone or their own website or by mail.

Ah, well.. It seems my donation went the wong way :( i'm so easily fooled.. Well, maybe it's better like this than to loose them hunting, who knows. I need to be more cynic (a saying comes to my mind... " A cynic is a person, who, when he smells the flowers, looks around for the coffin with a dead man.")

well it's not ur fault or anyone's fault that being kind and generous with a caring heart for such matters, it's the "scammer" that has the intention to scam and uses such method that makes most ppl felt sorry abt it and wouldn't hesitated to offer help. just treat it as a small lesson in life of being so trustworthy to other people.

Im sorry but we have at several occations locked threads like this, as it has nothing to do with Entropia.

It might sound harsh... And it might be for a good cause, but in any case, dont use EF as PR for your company or organization which you ask money for.
If people wish to donate they will seek out the places to donate, as there are lots of organizations out on the net, that is 100% legal.

I will remove the payment info.
