Yup, but thats only about 50% of the songs.
There was a lot more in the playlist, prior to VU10, and some that was in the install folder, but was not in the playlist, vu7 or so upwards.

I just dont get why they removed these tracks. These bring much more of a sci fi feeling to the game. The current ones are okay. but nothing in comparison.

I wish some representing Calypso would answer that.
 
Sense MA removed these tracks i dont have any music on.:)

That's why. Some tracks were from orginal artists like Kevin Rudolf or tracks made by NeverDie.
Others had samples in them from a well known Sci-Fi TV-series.
And then they seem to have buried their great musician from the past 6 feet down. Or they refuse to pay him a few bucks extra.


It's all about the money, us suckers will still come and play. When we don't stay away because of bad loot, then we definitely won't stay away because we miss some soundtracks. Simple business-economics.

PE is lacking heart and soul for a longtime already. That is what I miss the most and that is why I play way less.

This is awesome. :yay: I wish they would put these back in-game! We need more variety in the music and also what happened to the satisfying "casino ding" every time a transaction was completed - at the TT, Repair Terminal. Sound matters.

Thank you very much for this music. Pure nostalgia. I had such great time in project entropia just exploring and sweating and getting to know people.
Too bad the current entropia is not so compelling anymore.

BTW, check out Kevin MacLeod - Pure Attitude on youtube, it sounds very similar to PE music and recalls the same atmosphere :)

After all the recent talk about old Project entropia on another thread i downloaded the old songs and its so beautiful. I was able to recognize a lot of songs i allready had forgotten. Please Mindark/Calypso add them back into the game. The current list of songs is kinda limited. Remember this was 2005 and it feels we had more freedom and diversity as we got now. At least regarding ingame music !

494397 gave me goosebumps right now
It used to be the music for lootable pvp and my short but intense venture in this area of engagement long long ago. So awesome, i should have downloaded this sooner. Big REP for TE

Maybe we should make an essential list of songs and start a petition to bring them back if the legal situation permits it. (As I wrote in this thread there is at least one song with samples from a movie which could pose a legal problem.) Then again, maybe this was discusses already and dismissed as impossible and I just missed it.

Many are from Lars Falk "Sound's of Entropia" series (these I have),
but there are some others that I can't find 'em anywhere.

gonna bump this but can someone tell me which files I can delete? I only want the old school music. So far a lot of the songs dont sound familiar. I only want the stuff back when there was only one planet.

I can't remember it from my head alone but the majority if not all of these songs are from that period.
